Two Thanoses, one male, one female, different genders but the same skin color. The only difference is that one looks domineering, while the other is more graceful.
The over-two-meter-tall female Thanos was wearing dark work pants and a tight blue cropped tank top. Her figure was so exaggerated that her top barely contained her enormous… evilness, making Su Ye feel dizzy.
"This one… might even be bigger than Mai Shiranui's head! Damn it, Sister Mai's status is in danger!"
Su Ye's mind started running wild as he compared all of his current girlfriends to this female version of Thanos, only to helplessly realize—none of them could compete!
If you don't believe me, check the cover. That size… is simply unbeatable.
Judging by his girlfriends' heights, they'd probably need at least three pounds of silicone to match up to her.
But that would only ruin the aesthetics, making it a burden instead, affecting movement and balance significantly.
While Su Ye's mind was still running wild, the one-armed Thanos turned his head toward the suddenly appeared female Thanos.
"Who… are you?"
Su Ye smirked. This question sounded oddly familiar—he could've sworn he just heard it moments ago.
But compared to Su Ye, this female Thanos was clearly even more short-tempered. She had no intention of answering Thanos' question.
"Where's your arm? Where's your gauntlet? Where's your blade? Where are your stones?"
A string of four questions, each like a dagger stabbing straight into Thanos' heart. Suddenly, losing an arm didn't seem quite as painful anymore.
Arm gone, blade shattered, stones stolen, gauntlet…
Wait, what gauntlet? Why are you asking about a gauntlet? Why do you also have a gauntlet? I only had one stone—why would I need that thing!
Thanos had a stomach full of complaints, but the moment he saw the female Thanos wearing a golden gauntlet embedded with six Infinity Stones, he swallowed them all back down.
This female Thanos came out of nowhere, yet after struggling for half his life, he still couldn't compare to a female version of himself.
Thanos suddenly felt like his entire life had been a waste—maybe he should just die and be done with it.
After all, the dream he had fought for all his life had been completely ridiculed. Neither his ideals nor his existence had any reason to continue.
With that thought, Thanos simply closed his eyes.
"Destroy me. I'm tired."
"..."
Su Ye hadn't experienced Thanos' emotional journey, so he didn't understand why Thanos suddenly had the urge to give up on life. However, seeing his current state, Su Ye felt that maybe giving him one final slash and sending him a thousand miles away might actually be a form of relief for him.
"Waste of space!"
Before Su Ye could make a move, the female Thanos on the other side had already cursed.
"Such a pathetic creature, and he dares to be compared to me? A version of me from another universe?"
"You don't deserve to be called Thanos, let alone live—die!"
With that, the female Thanos raised the massive blade in her hand—one almost identical to the one Thanos once wielded—and slashed straight at him.
Swish!
The blade rose and fell.
Thanos, who had roamed the universe for countless years, dedicating his life to an unrealistic and absurd ideal, only to realize in the end that he was nothing—thus, his colorful yet ultimately meaningless life came to an end.
What Thor failed to accomplish in Avengers: Infinity War was easily achieved by a female Thanos from some unknown dimension.
Watching Thanos' body split in two and collapse, Su Ye suddenly recalled a Marvel short film he had seen before, called What If….
In it, Thanos had just used the Space Stone to open a portal to Earth when Vision turned around and instantly cut him in half with a vertical laser beam.
The scene before him felt eerily similar to that short film.
Meanwhile, the female Thanos clapped her hands nonchalantly, as if she had just swatted a mosquito—an insignificant task. Then, she turned to look at Su Ye.
More precisely, she was looking at the gauntlet on Su Ye's hand, embedded with Infinity Stones.
As soon as Thanos—no, the female Thanos—looked over, Su Ye wasted no time and quickly placed the still-warm Soul Stone into the empty slot on his Infinity Gauntlet.
Boom!
A surge of immense power instantly spread through Su Ye's entire body. The overwhelming energy nearly caused him to explode on the spot.
However, the sensation lasted for less than a second before disappearing, and his body returned to its previous state.
Yet, as Su Ye looked down at the now fully-equipped gauntlet on his hand, he suddenly felt as if the entire universe was under his control.
Across from him, the female Thanos, who had been wearing a cold and rigid expression, suddenly smiled.
"No wonder you were able to gather so many stones. In this world, you managed to push another version of me to the brink—you're quite capable. The power of six Infinity Stones is not something an ordinary person can easily withstand."
Su Ye nodded. "I guess I'm alright, but I'm not as amazing as you make it sound. Just average—third best in the universe, haha!"
Su Ye's bragging was just an old joke, but the female Thanos took it seriously.
"You're third in the universe, I'm first—so who's second?"
"..."
Su Ye really wanted to ask: Sis, are you serious? You can't tell this was just a joke?
I only said I was the third strongest in the universe because it rhymed! In this single universe, I could totally claim to be number one without issue!
But the female Thanos genuinely seemed unaware of jokes. Instead, she stared at Su Ye with a serious expression, as if waiting for his answer.
"Ahem!"
Su Ye decided to sidestep the question. He cleared his throat and asked the female Thanos:
"You are also Thanos, right? Where do you come from? Where are you going? What is your purpose in coming here?"
The female Thanos didn't quite understand humor, but she didn't dwell too long on a question she couldn't figure out.
After all, second or third place didn't matter—as long as she remained number one, everything was fine.
Like Su Ye, the female Thanos naturally believed that she was the strongest in the universe.
Well… the strongest in this single universe.
"I am indeed Thanos. Where I come from is not something you need to know. What you do need to know is that I am here to conquer. You, and all the life in this universe, will be my slaves. That is all that matters!"
Hearing this, Su Ye couldn't help but laugh.
"Haven't you heard? The harsher the threat, the worse the death. You actually dare to say that everyone in this universe will be your slaves? Who gave you the audacity? Bring that person out—I want to see if they were raised on poisoned baby formula or if their brain is full of crap!"
The female Thanos didn't get enraged by Su Ye's crude words. Instead, she simply raised her left hand, the one wearing the Infinity Gauntlet.
"You know what this is, and you know what I can do!"
"Your family and friends in this universe—I can promise to spare their lives. But everyone else? They are mine. If you dare to stop me, I guarantee that you will be responsible for the consequences to their lives!"
"This is not a threat. It's a notification."
Su Ye sighed.
He had confirmed it—this female Thanos wasn't some great villain. She was just an edgy teenager trapped in an adult's body. How did she say such embarrassing lines with a straight face?
Are you sure your name is Thanos and not some overly dramatic anime protagonist?
"Judging by your expression, you don't believe me."
Seeing the way Su Ye was looking at her—like she was an idiot—the female Thanos felt insulted in both body and soul. She instantly became furious and decided to teach Su Ye a lesson. Without hesitation, she snapped her fingers.
"I know you also have a gauntlet. You can undo what I do or reverse it."
The female Thanos spoke with complete composure.
"But there's something else you should know. Physical wounds can heal, but psychological trauma and painful memories are not so easily erased. Even if you bring them back, the feeling of death in that moment will haunt them forever—a permanent scar on their souls!"
Su Ye sighed helplessly.
The female Thanos' snap would definitely cause some psychological and physical trauma to the defenders of the Great Wall.
But to Su Ye, this wasn't that big of a deal.
Those people were warriors. Experiencing life and death one more time might even give them some kind of insight, allowing them to grow stronger.
As for his family, they were all in Dragon Nation, with Old Su.
Even now, Su Ye couldn't gauge what level of powerhouse Old Su was.
But Su Ye had a feeling that, most likely, the female Thanos' snap wouldn't be able to harm Old Su or his people at all.
There was no logical basis for this feeling, but Su Ye simply knew it.
Still, he decided to advise the female Thanos to be kind.
"As a so-called all-powerful being roaming the universe, resorting to threatening other people's families—what a disgraceful move."
"Hmph!"
The female Thanos turned her head and snorted. "I am the strongest in the universe, so I set the rules. If I say it's reasonable, then it is reasonable. You think it's disgraceful? Who cares what you think?"
"I'm not a nobody—I'm the third strongest in the universe!"
Su Ye shook his head. "We both have Infinity Gauntlets—if we really fight, it won't end well for either of us. So, drop the threats and just tell me—what do you want from me?"
The female Thanos' eyes flickered. "I want to play a game with you!"
"Specifically?"
"Hmm, have you heard of 'The Rift'?"
The sudden twist in the conversation nearly made Su Ye sprain his back.
He already had a rough guess about what she meant by "The Rift," but he still held onto a tiny sliver of hope—hoping that his guess was wrong—as he asked:
"The Rift? What Rift?"
The female Thanos suddenly grinned.
"Wow, you're so outdated—how do you not know 'The Rift'?"
"DOTA, LOL, Honor of Kings—you might not have played them, but you've at least heard of them, right?"
Su Ye scratched his head. This world was only in 2011—DOTA and LOL had already been released, but Honor of Kings wouldn't come out until 2015. This female Thanos definitely came from another world. Otherwise, how would she know about Honor of Kings?
Traveling across dimensions…? She came from another world?
The moment this thought crossed his mind, Su Ye's eyes widened.
Traveling between worlds! Why hadn't he thought of this before?
Even though this world was exciting, and even though he had parents who cared for him here, Su Ye ultimately didn't belong to this world—he was a transmigrator.
If he could return to his original world, he wouldn't refuse—he'd even look forward to it.
If he could bring his current knowledge and abilities back to his original world, he might be able to skyrocket its technological development to unimaginable heights.
At that time, all those people who constantly talked nonsense, who never gave up on their sinister ambitions, who wanted to dominate the world and silence everyone else—they'd all have to shut up.
He could even return and replicate everything he had done here in that world.
Didn't the people of Japan love anime? Fine—he'd give them Godzilla, the Ten-Tails, and the Angels from Evangelion all at once.
America would be the same. He'd find some aliens—or just pretend to be one—and casually stroll around their cities. They loved aliens, always portraying them in sci-fi movies and battling them. Fine, he'd grant them their wish.
Su Ye's mind was suddenly running a thousand miles a minute.
The Marvel universe was great, but ultimately, it wasn't his home.
Across from him, the female Thanos looked at him in confusion. She had only mentioned a few video games, yet this guy had suddenly gotten all excited?
So, he was a gaming addict after all? The only question was—was he good or not?
"Hey! You still haven't answered my question! Do you know 'The Rift' or not? Want to play a round—no, a few rounds of Rift Showdown?"
Su Ye clapped his hands.
"Alright, let's do it! I've never been afraid of playing in The Rift! But before that, I have a question for you!"
"Go ahead, ask quickly!"
The female Thanos was getting excited, too.
"Hmm… which universe are you from, exactly? How did you travel across dimensions? Tell me the method for crossing universes!"
"Uh…"
The female Thanos hesitated slightly.
Su Ye immediately tensed up.
"Is it too complicated? Is it inconvenient for you to say? Or… can you not explain it at all?"
"It's not that—it's actually quite simple," the female Thanos shrugged. "I just didn't expect your wager to be so… basic."
"Wager? What wager?"
Su Ye suddenly felt like he had just walked into a trap.
"Alright, it's settled then!"
The female Thanos clapped her hands and shouted:
"We'll settle this with a game. If you win, I'll tell you how to travel between universes. But if I win—you'll peacefully hand this world over to me!"
"You call that a fair bet?"
Su Ye wanted to argue, but the female Thanos simply waved her hand dismissively.
"Enough with the nonsense! Let's pick our champions!"
