"Coincidentally, there was a photographer hired by the school who saw the scene. He took a picture and gave it to me. I've kept it with me ever since. Afterward, the news got out, and I became the laughing stock of my school. But I never thought that it was something to be laughed at," Zane confessed.
He silently stared at Jordyn. "How could a young child who was missing his mother turn into a joke?"
His gaze then landed on the picture Jordyn was holding. "This picture has become one of my most prized possessions. I kept it safe in a box made of pure gold because gold does not rust. Just like the love a child has for his mother. It will not fade away."
Jordyn's fingers that were holding onto the picture trembled.
She looked at Zane. She wanted to say something, but nothing came out of her mouth.
"Mom, the photo is now yours to take care of." With nothing left to say, Zane turned to leave.
Jordyn was left standing there, staring at the photograph in her hands.
