Suddenly, Charlotte felt Zane grabbing her right leg, but it was too late.
Charlotte snorted.
Looking at Zane's helpless expression, Charlotte mocked, "There's nothing you can do now, can you?"
Zane felt even more helpless.
He let go of Charlotte's right leg and stretched out his hand to her. "Get up."
Charlotte did not hold Zane's hand and got up on her own instead.
She kept a distance from Zane as soon as she got up.
Zane's deep voice became gentle. "You don't have to be so afraid of me. I won't force you."
