John Brown softly said, "Emily Berns, I know doing this is unreasonable, and it's quite unfair to you as well. But I'm doing this for our daughter's well-being. Think about it. She's still young and doesn't understand much. She should be enjoying happiness and growing up joyfully. If we burden her with our adult issues, it would only cause her distress and take away her happiness."
