"Holy shit. What a waste of time," Ray muttered, face dark with frustration. "I thought we were dealing with a squad of elites—turns out they're just a bunch of nobodies."
"Exactly!" Evan snapped. "And we were being so damn polite. If you ask me, we should've just killed them and taken their supplies."
"Ray, good thing you didn't lose your temper back there," one of the bodyguards said, frowning.
Ray turned to him. "What do you mean?"
"There's something off about those people… Every single one of them gave me serious pressure. I don't think I could take even one of them in a fight," the bodyguard said, his voice low and grim.

Ray and Evan both stared at him, eyes wide in disbelief.
