About two weeks later;

Hiruzen's eyes scanned the report in his hands with a complicated expression. Team Ro stood in front of His desk with Pakura sitting on the ground in front of them, healthy but still had her Ckakra and movement sealed.

This mission turned out to be more bothersome than he had ever anticipated. Also, Kiri's political situation is concerning, but it most likely will be an internal thing for them and wouldn't effect Konoha.

The good news is that there is no treaty that may affect Konoha negatively. But still, there is a foreign S-rank ninja right in front of his desk. A ninja that has been officially declared dead.

Hiruzen looked up from the report and at Pakura before saying: "Pakura of the sand, you know that you be declared dead, right? Suna even blamed it on Iwa. This isn't what the report is telling me."

"It is to be expected, Hokage-sama. Looking at who sent me to Kiri. He will blame a party that has nothing to do with his scheme to make it look like Iwa wants revenge for what happened a while ago." Pakura said blankly to which Hiruzen nodded slowly.

Hiruzen turned towards Ryuu and, while grabbing the bridge of his nose, he felt a headache coming, and said: "Ryuu, can you explain why you thought this was a good Idea?"

This reaction was tame compared to what happened more than a week ago. The rest of Team Ro had freaked out when they returned to the hideout, only to find out Ryuu had taken Pakura a prisoner. They calmed down when they were told that she couldn't move or use Chakra and that Ryuu would leave her fate to the Hokage.

"I didn't really have a choice at the time I rescued her, Hokage-sama. I didn't know where to get intel from, so I took two Kiri Shinobi prisoners for interrogation along with her in case I didn't get any useful information from the two Kiri Shinobi." Ryuu said as Hiruzen listened carefully.

"But after I got the information that I wanted, I didn't know what to do with her. I couldn't let her go, as she would most definitely become a rogue Shinobi given her circumstances. I couldn't just kill her since she isn't on our kill list. She is also a bloodline holder and an S-rank Shinobi. I didn't find it my place to decide what to do with her, so I left the decision to you, Hokage-sama." Ryuu said making Hiruzen stay silent for a bit

Hiruzen looked back at Pakura before saying, "I was told you expressed a desire to join Konoha. Can you elaborate?"

"Ryuu said that you may allow it, Hokage-sama. So I chose the most logical one. Even if I could escape, I would be a rogue ninja since I can't return to Suna. I can't even consider Iwa or Kiri because they want my head on a platter, and let's not forget Kumo, which has a weird obsession with bloodlines. I gave everything I had for Suna — blood, sweat, and tears — only to be thrown to the wolves the moment I became a problem for the Kazekage's power. Now that I am here, I can only think about what is best for me," Pakura said, making Hiruzen look deeply into her eyes and expression.

"If I allow this, you will have to swear to serve Konoha for as long as you live. There will be no going back. All our rules will apply to you. And if you even think about betraying or selling the village's secrets, I don't need to tell you what will happen." Hiruzen said with a cold tone and narrowed eyes.

"I am willing, Hokage-sama. I just hope that I will be treated like the rest of your Shinobi and not discarded." Pakura said with an almost unnoticeable break in her voice at the end.

What happened to her in Kiri had left a deep scar on her. She feared that might happen again, doing her best to fulfill her duty, only to be left for dead.

Hiruzen's face softened slightly before sightly before saying: "You wouldn't need to worry about that, as long as you do your duty and put Konoha's interest in your heart. Konoha's Shinobi will have your back as we look out for each other."

"So, here's what is going to happen. You will be placed under house arrest for the next six months with regular evaluations from Inoichi Yamanaka. If everything goes well, I will permit you to integrate into Konoha. During that time, you will be monitored by Anbu, and Ryuu will mainly be responsible for you, provided he isn't on missions. Is that understood?" Hiruzen said with a serious tone.

"Yes, Hokage-sama. Thank you." Pakura said while bowing slightly.

Hiruzen then turned towards Team Ro: "This mission and its outcome are classified. You aren't allowed to discuss it with anyone without my direct permission. Pakura's presence in Konoha is to remain hidden for the time being. Only certain people will know. For now, take Pakura to Inochi for her initial screening. And Ryuu stays behind."

Soon, the team left along with Pakura, leaving Ryuu and Hiruzen alone in the office.

"You caused me quite the headache, Naruto-kun. You know that?" Hiruzen said

"Sorry about that, Saru-sensei. But think of her as a nice addition to Konoha, and you already assigned me to monitor her, so we are even, right?" Naruto said with a teasing tone as he took off his Anbu mask, making his hair return to its vibrant red color.

"Not even close," Hiruzen muttered to himself before he let out a short cough before looking at Naruto.

"I will assign Pakura a home near the Senju compound so you can monitor her. So, you need to give me regular reports on her." Hiruzen said, to which Naruto nodded

"Also, can you make those prisoner transportation scrolls? Those have stopped being produced since Kushina died." Hiruzen said with a bit of sadness in his voice. Naruto's mood dimmed too.

He was surprised that Naruto could make them, as they need a Uzumaki seal master to make. These scrolls are basically a separate closed dimension that acts as a prison cell that can be carried on a Shinobi while there is an alive prisoner sealed in the scroll. Naruto has used it to transport Pakura out of Kiri as it would have been difficult to carry her all the way back to Konoha.

"I can do that as long as you provide the Ink and Scrolls. These scrolls need very high-quality sealing ink and scrolls, making them very expensive to mass-produce." Naruto said after a moment of silence

"Then we don't have a problem. I just need a limited number of them every once in a while. I will give you the amount and material in a couple of. For now, regroup with your team and tell them you all have the next couple of days off. You all deserve it." Hiruzen said, to which Naruto nodded

"See you later, sensei," Naruto said before putting his mask back on, making his hair turn black again, before disappearing in a body flicker.

To be continued.
