Chapter 465 - Chapter 465: Machines of Liberation

As long as the user of the Munch-Munch Fruit has sufficient knowledge and physical stamina, he effectively becomes a top-tier production line. His speed far surpasses that of ordinary manufacturing systems it could even be said that the speed of his mechanical construction and production matches the speed of his thoughts.

In other words, as long as he can envision the structure of a machine in his mind, he can immediately manufacture it. The only true limitation is Shin's own physical endurance.

At this pace, within just a few hours, Shin had produced enough electromagnetic pulse (EMP) devices to cover the entirety of Luthor's underground base.

And Luthor's base wasn't small it had been built to the scale of a football stadium. For Shin to completely fill such a vast space in that short amount of time was a testament to the staggering speed of his production capability.

"Enough," Luthor said, his voice filled with excitement as he looked over the field of machines. "With this many EMP generators, we can blanket the entire world. We can save all of humanity."

"All that's left is to deploy them across the globe," he added, "and that's where you superhumans come in."

"Leave that to me," said Quicksilver, stepping forward and patting his chest with pride. "I'm still confident in my speed."

In truth, whether it was Shin, Diana, or Shazam, none of them were particularly slow. They might not match the Flash in pure speed, but if they exerted themselves, distributing these machines globally wouldn't take too long.

That said, they had a far better option available. Almost in unison, everyone turned their gaze toward the Ancient One.

The truth was undeniable the Ancient One's portals had become an unparalleled asset. As a team member, he didn't even need to showcase flashy offensive abilities, just the ability to create portals was enough to transform any superhero team into a global force, overwhelming any adversary with localized superiority.

"Let's all move out together," said the Joker, stepping forward with a rare tone of seriousness. "With that much material gone, I'm sure the Grid has noticed something."

"I doubt all of Luthor's 'secret' warehouses were truly undiscovered. When the number climbs into the hundreds, some are bound to be exposed."

Luthor nodded, frowning. "Agreed. Grid would inevitably have marked some of them. The sudden disappearance of so much material will definitely set off alarms."

"Then let's act now," Shin declared without hesitation. "Turn on all the EMP machines immediately. If we're fast enough, we might rescue most of the converted civilians before the Grid has time to react."

"If we're lucky," he added, "we might not even have to fight Superman, the Flash, or the others."

"That's wishful thinking," the Joker said, shaking his head.

Luthor agreed. "Anti-EMP shielding isn't hard to manufacture. However, equipping it on every converted person would be too expensive and time-consuming. Without satellite support, the Grid's command structure collapses into chaos and it'll have to rely on its direct extensions. Even for an advanced A.I., managing that scale is overwhelming."

"Still, for high-value assets like Superman and the Flash, you can bet the Grid made special provisions. Bypassing that will take more than clever tricks."

Shin nodded. "That's fine. I found a good amount of kryptonite on the original Brother Eye satellite. With this, I'm confident I can handle Superman by myself."

As he spoke, Shin reached into his dark dimension and pulled out a brass knuckle made of kryptonite his version of Batman's infamous kryptonite ring.

With this weapon, even if Shin's raw strength was slightly below Superman's, it would be enough to tilt the balance. After all, Shin wasn't a full-blooded Kryptonian. Kryptonite didn't weaken him severely like it did Clark.

In reality, kryptonite had only been installed on the original Brother Eye satellite designed by Batman, and even then, in limited quantity, just enough to create a single ring. Later satellites replicated by nanotechnology lacked any kryptonite payload.

The kryptonite Shin now possessed had actually been acquired during a prior infiltration of Luthor's base when he hypnotized the tycoon and raided his personal stash. Of course, there was no need to tell Luthor that.

"Well then," said Diana with a smile, "let's begin."

Ever since Shin returned, the tide had turned sharply. Within half a day, the Justice League had gone from barely holding the line to reclaiming the upper hand.

Now, the plan was clear: disable the Brother Eye-controlled robots, neutralize the converted superheroes like Superman and the Flash, and finally confront the Grid itself.

The Ancient One once again raised his hand and conjured portals across the globe. The team fanned out through them, carrying EMP generators to key locations and activating them simultaneously.

Within moments, pulses of electromagnetic energy swept across vast regions. Robots (OMACs) with singular, glowing eyes began to shudder. Metallic flakes and silvery powder fell from their bodies as the nanotech coating dissolved, revealing the unconscious bodies of civilians underneath eyes rolled back, still trapped in a coma.

The Ancient One's magic, completely different from technology, had allowed the League to stay hidden. The Grid had no counter for dimensional sorcery. Otherwise, with its advanced tracking capabilities, it would have easily traced the energy signatures back to their base.

But the Justice League had moved with unprecedented speed. First, they obliterated the original Brother Eye satellite reducing the Grid's processing power by thirty percent and completely stripping it of visual reconnaissance.

Then, within half an hour, the contents of over a dozen marked warehouses vanished without leaving a trace.

And now, a global wave of custom-designed EMP machines tuned precisely to disrupt the nanotechnology used by Brother Eye was deployed and activated.

Ordinary EMPs couldn't disable the Grid's tech. The frequency had to be exact, down to a fraction of a decimal. Manufacturing such precise devices requires extreme precision, calibration, and expertise.

By the Grid's own estimation, even if the entire world collaborated, it would take at least a week to create enough machines to counter its influence.

But thanks to Shin and the power of the Munch-Munch Fruit, it had been done in mere hours. Lacking satellite support and caught off guard, Grid was finally on the defensive.
