The sky crackled with red lightning as dark clouds gathered above Castle Allan, or the now Castle Brightwind, plunging the area into a sombre atmosphere.

The leading shadow took to the skies and was done holding back. He threw everything about subtlety out the window, his face a mask of desperation and agitation.
James was pretty sure he could escape the shadows once he made it to the woods. But things were not so simple.
Dark veins had already crawled onto his veins as his system burned like being set on fire. However, that shout told him something was amiss.
Turning to look, he saw one of the shadows float high above the ground, reaching several tens of kilometres and calling on his limited manipulation to bring forth dark red lightning.
