The old Island Master led everyone on the island to the graveyard on the western side of the small island, and before they left West Continent Island, they held a ritual for the ancestors who slept beneath the land of West Continent Island.
After nightfall, everyone sat around the bonfire. The firelight shone on each of their faces, every expression looking heavy and stifled, and a gloomy air spread over the whole of West Continent Island.
They were recalling the many events that had happened on this island. In the days to come, their longing for West Continent Island would only exist within their memories.
That night, no one was willing to go back to sleep. Even those children only a few years old stayed by their parents' side.
They just sat on the island and waited until dawn.
The old Island Master was the first to stand up, and said in a deep voice, "It's dawn. Time to depart!"
Under his lead, everyone finally boarded the battleship one after another.
