The woman frowned. Mo Wangchen intended to seal her within this Divine Palace—how could she be willing?
"There's no 'what if.' You must agree. At worst, I'll fight to the death. I might not come out unscathed, but I at least have some confidence in surviving. As for you, you'll surely be refined by me." Mo Wangchen said calmly.
The woman's brows furrowed even tighter. "Set me free, and I will remove the barrier to let you leave. Why go to such lengths?"
"I don't trust you." Mo Wangchen shook his head, speaking quite directly.
In the end, the woman compromised, as she no longer had a choice. No matter what she did, she couldn't escape the fate of being refined.
Only by agreeing to Mo Wangchen's demands could she grasp a sliver of hope for life.
In fact, when she invaded Mo Wangchen's Divine Palace earlier, she had glimpsed some of his memories.
Though it wasn't much, it was enough to understand a bit about Mo Wangchen's character.
