If the numbers called out match the sum of one's own and the opponent's fingers, it counts as a win for oneself, and the opponent must drink as penalty.
As for the chant, there are various styles.
There's the traditional call, such as "One Heart to You, Two Red Joy, Peach Garden Three, Four Seasons Wealth, Five Primus Hands…" and so on.
There are also Three Kingdoms punches, where Three Kingdoms stories are woven into punch commands, like "Unify the World," "Second Brother's Pass," "Three Invitations to Kongming," etc.
In short, the variations are numerous and have long been widely spread.
