Brian and Susan received a meeting email from NW headquarters.
The message commanded them, in a very stern tone, to rush to NW's temporary new address, a large estate in Montecito, by the next morning to attend the reorganization meeting of NW.
It was called a reorganization, but it was actually a redistribution of interests.
When Susan saw the content of the email, she crushed the mouse in her hand.
Her body exuded terrifying high temperatures, distorting the surrounding air as she spoke with hostility, "The Liki family has become an old dog curled up in a dog pen, and yet they still speak so arrogantly. I feel that this meeting is deliberately targeting us!"
Officially, she was indeed just a Second-level Staff.
But Brian was a staff member with actual power at the Third Level.
