Deathnight entered the dome training dens, from the outside it was big, but from the inside it just makes you think twice of the place sized. Deathnight kept staring in amazement, it was only when Beta Silverfang touched his shoulder that he noticed that she was trying to get his attention, she turned and walked towards a group of 6 wolves that were sitting round a fresh deer "Alpha Silver is finally here" said a wolf in a teasing tone " Yeah, to chew youre tongue out" said another, they all laughed when the "alpha" Silerfang took here seat and showed Deathnight he's the others turned their heads "Who's the omega" asked the wolf that joked, he was a massive wolf who's muscles showed and he had a grin that would actually make you wonder if he was a fighter.
"Well Stoneheart, this is Deathnight or i think it is?" she looked at him and he nodded, the wolf Stonefur looked him up " Why dont we brawl eh?" he said, Deathnight stared, it was his first day and someone was already asking him to spar. "Stonefur. You know that tomorrow is our first day of group sparring we dont want a injured fighter" said a small wolf, he had grey fur and didnt look threatening but he had something about him that Deathnight couldnt figure out "Hi i am Grey" the wolf said "nice to meet you" said Dethnight, the 3rd wolf stood up and bowed his head "I am Wind" he said and sat back down, deathnight nodded the fourth one was a female "I am Sharpeye" she said and nodded then sat down,the fifh wolf stayed silent "Thats Ivysnout, He doest speak much, but you will hear him talk here and then" said Sharpeye, the last wolf to speak was a male wolf he hon his chest and looked serious "Im Whiteheart" he said and started to look round "We all come from the same pack" said Silverfang, Deathnight stared at each wolf "So youre all friends?" he asked, they all nodded.
Deathnight sat with he's group sharing the deer, he could help at notice someone was watching him, he turned his head and spotted a wolf who's fur was black as night no one went near him, he didnt look much like a fighter. The wolfs eyes were red and Deathnight could see that in those eyes was hunger. He turned and thought for a moment " Who is that" he asked, every one stopped and looked at hhim "Who?" they asked, Deathnight pointed in the wolfs direction and they all sighed " He came in last week no one wants him in their group, mostly cause he is very different from us, The alphas said he has 2 days left, if he isnt in a group by then hes out" Stoneheart said, Deathnight stared at the deer at his paws, what kind of wolf is he to allow another to be alone? Deathnight ripped a piece of flesh off the carcass and head for the black wolf, at first he was hesitant but slowly got up and tried to walk away, but there was no where to go.
Deathnight dropped the piece of flesh at the wolfs paws, the wolf looked at him in confusion. "hello i am Deathnight", the wolf sniffed the meat "Im Blackfur" the wolf said, Deathnight sat next to the wolf and ate his own piece of meat, Core licked his lips before chewing on the meat. Deathnight saw the appreciation in the wolfs eyes and grinned, he looked up when he's group came towards him dragging the deer to their side, they all introduced themselves to Blackfur. Deathnight was glad to see the wolf happy 'no one deserves to be alone' he thought.
A loud bark sounded from behind them, Seven big woles all of them looking alike stroded towards Deathnights group "oy what are the lot of you doing, sharing with a runt like that?" the largest of the group shouted, he had a torn ear and was ripped, Deathnight could almost feel the immense strength coming of the wolves, but he didnt care about their dominance and strength " Who are you to say he is a runt?" Deathnight said back, the wolfs fur bristled " and who are you?" he asked, Deathnight stood as tall as he could "I am Deathnight, apprenticed by Montecai" Deathnight declared himself, the wolf scoffed at him " I am Lightening aprenticed by my father like my many brothers Kaido" The wolf had such confidence that Deathnight wanted to try and challenge him straight on but knew that he was busy growing overconfident.
"Any ways now that we know each other i suppose you move out of my way mutt!" Lightening said and tried to push past Deathnight, mbut Deathnight stood his ground "Hey listen here you stinking mutt we just want to talk to ol Core about some ground rules." Lightening said in a innocent voice, Deathnight didnt move " Just becase youre bigger and stronger, doesnt mean you have to pick on the weak like a dog!" Deathnight said, Lightening growled and lifted Deathnight into the air " Dont lecture me!" Lightening barked, Deathnight was amazed by the strength and was caught off gaurd way to easily but he didnt give up as he came down he twisted he body and landed square on the ground " Fancy move there mutt" Lightening snarled, he charged forward at speed but eathnight was quicker he quickly dodged the attack and and took a paw hold on the grass and shot himself at the now confused wolf, he landed directly onto his shoulders , bringing the wolf down with his own weight. Lightening tried to rise but dagger and a paw by his haunches and shoulders making it hard toget up. "Thats enough!" barked a wolf that was about Deathnights height, he had brown eyes and he's fur was sleek black and grey. Deathnight got off lightnening as the wolf came up to them Lightening roseand stood straight next to Deathnight "Is there a problem here?" the wolf asked, "no alpha Colecore, there isnt a problem" Deathnight nodded, Colecore smiled at them both,"tomorrow is the group pack try outs, dont be foolish now" Corlecore said then walked back to his post where a few gaurds stood " Nice" Said lightening," youre lucky thats all we got, you stupid mutt" he growled low and walked back to his group.
As soon as Deathnight was sure that lightening was far out of sight he turned towards his group. Silerfang sprang up and pinned Deathnight, at first he was confused until she winked at him "Nice going now well all be dead before we even start." She said then got off him, Deathnight slowly got up and went to sit down with the others "You really shouldnt have done that" Said Grey, Deathnight stood up "well i cant just let them push us around!" Deathnight said, he wasnt sure why he was angry and getting up shouting at his packmate especially since he is new. "Problem is those arethe seven brothers of Griffin pack their father is one of the high Betas in the clan" Said sharpeye, Deathnight slowly started to sit back down "and that was just a single brother that attacked you if it was a group they would have mauled you" said wind , Deathnight started to nod "Sorry guys, i didnt mean to-""Its fine as long as you dont start trouble with other groups and show off those sleek moves" Silverfang said , she looked around " well then shall we continue?" she said everyone nodded and went back to their conversations, Deathnight thought about the seven brothers, it was true that he fought only one and even then he was still powerful, Deathnight would need to think better than just dodging their attacks or else hell be caught and pinned easily.
The shadows grew as the day past, Deathnight had fun with his friends, he learnt alot about and from them. A long low howl sounded, it echoed through the dome. Silverfang rose and stretched her legs, she stifled a yawn "time for our rest, tomorrow is going to be rough."she said. every trainee went to their caves the females were seperated from the males, Deathnight and rest of the males in his pack said goodnight to Silverfang and Sharpeye. They were directed into their own cave, they said goodnight to each other and fell asleep deeply.
A noise awoke Deathnight, he lifted his head he heard a whimper and scratching at the entrance, and then silence, Deathnight noticed that Blackfur was missing, he quickly rose. Stonefur, Wind, Grey and Whiteheart were deep in sleep, Deathnight got a fright as something brushed his tail, he whipped around only to see Ivysnout. Ivysnout growled low "quiet" he whispered, hes voice was smooth and silky. Ivysnout led the way out, Deathnight close behind, they stayed in the shadows, they traveled a bit of a distance they reached the mouth of the dome, Deathnight and Ivysnout snuck past the gaurds they were outside and made sure they were down wind and out of sight, Ivysnout beckoned Deathnight with his tail.
As they trailed, Deathnight caught a fear scent not far from them they rushed their pace soon they heard cries and whimpers they crouched low and crawled to a ledge at the bottom were the 7 brothers and Blackfur, Blackfur looked badly hurt, he limped towards a tree facing the 7 brothers "aaw you look scared pup" one of brothers joked, Lightening laughed " Youre not a fighter youre a wimp" Lightening barked, he luanched forward, Blackfur jumped to oneside dodging the attack. Lightening slammed into the tree hard he cried out he got up "Youll pay for that!" He growled, he jumped and this time caught Blackfur by the scruff, he shook Blackfur around, then let him go, "youre not a warrior, and i bet youre not from this clan ive never seen eyes or fur like youres!" he barked and bit down onto Blackfur throat The brothers started to look at each other "Brother, this wasnt what we-"" Shut up thunder!" Lightening growled and carried on, Thunder looked like Lightening but his one ear tip was shredded and he had a mark along his tail that almost looked like a thunder bolt, the brothers stopped for the moment.
Deathnight was so disgusted, he was shivering with anger, Ivysnout started to back away from Deathnight, he's eyes were wide, Deathnights vision started to blur, he felt strong energy corse through his bones and muscles, he felt scratches and bites and he also tasted blood, it felt like forever that the world was blurred. Soon he finally feel his conciousness come back. He felt like led and he saw that all 7 brothers were on the ground bleeding, they werent seriously injured but Deathnight could see them struggling to move Deathnight tried to take a step forward, Blackfur rose and Ivysnout ran down wide eyed, Deathnight passed out and fell to the ground.
Ivy snout had just witnessed a fight that he thought be won by the 7 brothers but this wolf Deathnight had taken them all down with out needing to kill, Ivysnout saw Deathnight stagger and then fall Ivysnout ran forward, Blackfur rose and ran forward too "Deathnight!?" he whined, Ivysnout put his ear against Deathnights side, he is weak. Blackfur straightened himself "Ivysnout try and sneak into the herbal wolves section on the female side there is a wolf named Frostberry, quick go!" he said, Ivysnout dissapeared, he ran back towards the dens he stopped for a moment sensing something, A branch snapped behind him he tried to swing around but Silverfang was over him in seconds " Where is Deathnight and Blackfur?" Silverfang commanded, she got off him, he shook he's fur " Brothers an Blackfur...fight... Deathnight win...but terrible shape...Blackfur say...to get Medic wolf Frostberry" Ivy snout had a gruff voice he's throat pained, Silverfang bowed "okay, go get her, ill see to Blackfur and Deathnight" she said they both parted.
Ivysnout carried on forward he rushed to the dens again they finally came to view, when they snuck out it felt quick, but it felt now like he was rushing for almost an hour, He stopped panting the two gaurds were awake and alert, Ivysnouts ears flattened how was he suppose to sneak past them? He crouched low and stayed in the shadows he kept his eye on the two gaurds they were lookng into the forest as if they were looking for something, or someone!
He had just made it past them until his bumped into someone, he looked up to see that the wolf was massive, he looked almost like a bear, the wolf looked at Ivysnout with a glare " You. Where are the other trainees?!" He barked command, Ivysnout stood up...Scent is still strong. He said "Pit in the forest" he said again. The wolf growled at him," pups now a days!" The wolf growled, a wolf came out the shadows "Beta Bearpaw, we found the scent" the wolf said, he looked lean and thin his fur looked smooth as silk, the silver colour was hypnotising, " Who is this? come to think of it his scent matches the one we found, Said the wolf Bearpaw growled and Invysnout pressed himself against the ground avoiding the Betas glance " Take us to the pit" He ordered Ivysnout nodded he wanted to tell the Beta that they need a Herb wolf, but he stayed quiet.
Deathnight opened his eyes, it was blurry at first but soon things started taking shape, it was the pit but where was Ivysnout and Blackfur anywhere he could even see the 7 Brothers, he slowly got up his body felt sore 'was i in a fight' before he passed out he saw that the 7 brothers were on the ground ' Was that me?' he thought in a moment of horror that he had just injured or killed one of the brothers, he heard something muttering behind him he turned around but no one was there.
He looked around he turned to where he faced before, a wolfs face he didnt know was infront of him, he retreated backwards, the wolf wasnt like any other this one had the most whitest of furs he had ever seen, there was another behind him he had no fur, but his skin was black, he had a killers eye but looked calm, There was something by the black wolves paws, it was a wolf skull!
Deathnight crouched low, it was the white wolf that spoke first, "welcome to the spirit dimention young Deathnight, weve been waiting for you" he said, He had a very silky voice it was memorising. The black wolf walked forward " This is spirit Lockjaw, i am spirit Hugal, youre a lucky wolf Deathnight." the wolf said.
Deathnight only noticed now that the surroundings started to change soon he found himself On a hill the Trees in the distance were like borders, They were pine trees, it was snowing Deathnight couldnt feel the cold. "what is this place?" he asked, the spirit Hugal looked at Lockjaw " This is where you were born" Lockjaw said, sat down. Deathnight was in awe when he saw the dens, they had carvings in them at the entrance, "This is death realm, but its not the dead realm.
"This place only has one month of summer and one month of sunlight, Not the best place to live but the wolves and other creatures dont care much." Lockjaw said, Deathnight frowned, " If i was born here then who is my Father, whos my mother?" he started he was starting to have hope "How did I end up where my sister and i did?" Deathnight question them. He wanted to know the truth of his past he wanted to un derstand what these spirits were saying, "That we cannot say, we only get glimpses of youre past Deathnight." just because we are spirits doesnt mean we can go and ask, once we are positioned to protect a wolf like you is the moment they block us from the rest of the spirits in the spirit world." Lockjaw explained, Hugal walked up to Deathnights side, "You gained youre fathers side, strong, fast and agile but you also have 2 kinds of spirits the angel spirit and i am a demonic spirit but, but when i was stll a wolf i changed" Hugal looked away " unfortunatly i still have this appearance, but i dont mind it." Hugal sat down and scratched his ear.
Deathnight carried on looking at the trees in the distance he noticed the the field didnt lookright he jumped down and walked ahead Hugal and Lockjaw got up and followed, As Deathnight grew closer and closer he could smell something that died, Deathight tripped over something hard and metallic, He rose head head from the snow and looked at what he tripped over, it was a wolf, he had full armor except his helmet wich was off, the wolf had a huge scratch by its neck and armor, one ears was missing the blood was frozen. Deathnight got up and backed away he looked around and saw that there were dozens of bodies around "W-What happened here?" Deathnight said, the scene was horrific.
Hugal and Lockjaw stayed silent as Deathnight looked at them and back to the deceased wolves , did a battle take place here? Deathnight suddenly felt a wave of dizziness he heard a voice and howls in his head, he shook his head the voices disapeared but the howls stuck, he closed his eyes as the howls grew louder and louder, he thought he was going to go insane but the hwols stopped. Deathnight opened his eyes hes eyes went wide when he saw atleast 100 wolves all standing infront of him, they all looked mighty. The bodies on the snow ground had dissapeared, Deathnight was shaking, the wolves stared at him and he stared back their eyes werestern and they didnt move one bit.
Deathnight threw back the urge to run, he stood up still looking at the mighty wolves Hugaland Lockjaw had crouched low and did not speak or move they were like stones. Deathnight looked back at the group of wolves, one wolf walked out ofthe group he walked up to Deathnight in a calm way. He stopped when their noses barely touched he stared at Deathnight in such a way that Deathnight thought the wolf was challenging him, "You" the wolfs voice echoed " You have the blessing of lunar blood" the wolf said and touched the black patch on Deathnights shoulder, the patch made a new shape, this time it went into the shape of blob it then turned into a perfect circle, Deathnight felt strange the wolf started fading and so did others the two spirits also started to dissapear.
Deathnight woke up in a den that smelt of herbs and wood the dens walls were wood, There was a Female herb wolf putting some leaveson his wounds she took some short vines and wrapped the leaves tight, she looked at Deathnight, "Youre awake, good." she said, she had grey and black fur, her right paw was white. Deathnight got up and noticed the den was huge the 7 brothers were not far from him some of them werent here, Deathnight tried to get up but his muscles clamped down and he fell, The herb wolf was at his side almost immediatly "calm down youre still weak, rest here for now ill go get Blackfur" she said, Deathnight cocked one ear, does she know Blackfur? and how does she? he did not know but waited, Blackfur entered the den with the herb wolf right behind him "Hey Deathnight how are you?" he asked in a worried tone Deathnight looked at Blackfur " im fine, how about you?" he said, Blackfur grinned "Im all healed up thanks to my sister here" he sai, so that how she knows Blackfur, Deathnight only noticed now that they almost hve the same body structure.
Deathnight rested for rest of the night, he was still wondering about his vision, or was it a dream, whatever it was he was going to worry about it some other time, he now knows Blackfurs sister, Frostberry. He closed his eyes and falled asleep deeply.
