The door clicked shut behind them with a soft finality.
Yoru leaned back against it, one hand still resting on the doorknob as his eyes settled on Rika. She stood across the room near her desk, the lamplight casting warm amber across her figure. Her back was turned, but the slow, measured way her fingers ran through her hair gave away the tension in her body.
She turned slightly, enough to glance at him from over her shoulder. "They're asleep."
"I know." Yoru's voice was low, almost gravelly. He hadn't moved from the door. "Just us now."
Rika let out a breath she'd been holding. Her fingers drifted to the hem of her oversized hoodie. She wore nothing beneath it. Her bare thighs were visible with every shift of her weight.
She came to stand in front of him, looking up into his eyes. Her voice dropped to a whisper. "Now I just want you to fight for me. With me. Inside me."
Yoru's restraint snapped like a frayed wire.
