Chapter 716 - Chapter 713

Ponzu fought while retreating, constantly widening the distance between herself and the Bomber. For the moment, she wasn't in immediate danger.

Genthru and his companions faces grew grim. The situation was nothing like they had expected. Before the battle began, they had never believed they were weaker. They were sure that facing Ron's group, they would not be forced onto the defensive. Their confidence came from their record—after all, as Bombers, they had killed many players.

But once the real fight began, they realized how wrong they were. Just Ponzu, Shizuku, and Elita were enough to keep them restrained. The Bomber facing Elita had already fallen into disadvantage. Genthru himself could do nothing against Shizuku, pinned down at every step. The only one of the three Bombers who had managed to gain an advantage was against Ponzu—but what use was that? Such a slim edge meant nothing. Ron and the others hadn't even acted yet.

Genthru doubted Killua and Gon could be very strong, and Biscuit's power he couldn't see through—but he never once thought Ron was a weakling. And as long as Ron's ability was at least on par with Shizuku's trio, then their side was doomed to lose.

"What on earth are these people?"

Bang!

Another explosion rang out. One of the Bombers slipped past Ponzu's exploding bees, flashing to her side with aura condensed into his fist, driving it toward her.

Ponzu raised her arm.

"Ko!"

She focused all her aura into her forearm, blocking the strike. Even so, the impact drove her body more than ten meters sideways.

Seeing this, Elita immediately shifted, turning from her own opponent to reinforce Ponzu.

Ponzu retreated further. Two Bombers converged on Elita, attacking together. Yet Elita was not alone. Their pressure forced her back, but Ponzu, now freed from defending herself, unleashed her full offensive ability.

Dozens of bees swarmed outward, surrounding Elita and both Bombers. Among them were bees empowered by the Sheep Zodiac Card, but many others as well. Altogether they numbered in the hundreds. By switching strategies, Ponzu had dramatically increased her combat effectiveness. Alone, Elita had the advantage while Ponzu was at a disadvantage. Together, they now pressed both Bombers hard.

Puchi!

A venomous stinger pierced the back of one Bomber's neck, injecting a flood of poison. Even a Nen user would feel its effects. They were no Zoldycks.

Biscuit's eyes shifted to Ponzu's chest. "A spatial-type Nen tool?"

Killua's eyes gleamed as he watched Elita and Ponzu's coordination. "Just by changing their strategy, the difference is this obvious?"

Elsewhere, Shizuku had trapped Genthru in ice. Walls of frost rose all around, even spears of ice overhead. If he tried to shatter the ice walls, he risked harming himself. But if he didn't break through, the situation would only worsen.

Bang!

Forced to choose, he detonated another massive explosion. Ice walls shattered, and he burst free—but Shizuku had already retreated far away.

Blood trickled from Genthru's forehead. He glared at Shizuku, but before he could act, she struck first.

"Blinky-chan!"

An immense suction locked onto his wound, and his blood began to pour uncontrollably toward Shizuku's conjured vacuum.

Startled, Genthru clutched his wound with one hand, but that gave Shizuku the opening she needed.

"Ice!"

Frost spread from the ground up his legs, binding both in thick ice. At the same time, a squadron of bees flew in.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Explosions detonated one after another around him.

Working in tandem with Elita, Ponzu not only held off two Bombers with ease but even managed to spare bees to assist Shizuku.

This was the difference between the two teams. Both sides relied on teamwork—but the Bombers had poured most of their strength into supporting Genthru. The remaining two Bombers were reduced to little more than close-combat fighters.

Shizuku turned her head briefly.

"Blinky-chan!"

The vacuum's power didn't stop with Genthru; it latched onto the other two Bombers as well, opening fresh wounds on their bodies. Forced to defend, they had no hands free to stem the bleeding, and so their blood streamed out toward the conjured weapon. The more they lost, the weaker they grew.

The coordination of Shizuku's trio far outstripped that of the Bombers. The Bombers wasted too much effort preparing to unleash their ability Countdown. With no chance to use it, their fighting strength dropped sharply.

(Note: We will go with Countdown)

Killua thought to himself, "So even support-type abilities can be this powerful in battle?"

Ron withdrew his gaze. By this point, the outcome was all but decided. To ordinary players, the Bombers were terrifying. But against Shizuku, Elita, and Ponzu, they weren't nearly strong enough. Once the trio began working together, the Bombers had no chance of victory.

One Bomber staggered, bleeding heavily, his body unsteady. Ponzu seized the chance.

Bang!

A cluster of explosive bees erupted beneath him, the blast hurling him high into the air. Elita immediately pressed her assault on the other Bomber.

Genthru's face twisted with frustration. Then he made a decision. Taking a direct hit from Shizuku's attack, he didn't counter. Instead, he charged toward Killua and Gon, clearly intending to seize them as hostages.

Victory was already out of reach. His only goal now was survival—if he could use Gon and Killua as bargaining chips, he might escape alive.

Killua's pupils shrank. His first instinct was to retreat. But Gon reacted in the exact opposite way.
