"Knock, knock." There was a knock at the door.
"Come me." I said, telling the person outside the door to enter.
It was Alice and behind her was two cute girls, hiding shyly behind her. One looked about eight, with hair a bright, rich yellow like polished gold in sunlight, and buff-colored eyes that resembled faded amber. And the other looked about 5, with blond hair and also had similar eye color. I immediately stood up from my chair and rushed to them.
"Awww! You must be Aurora and Lenora. Hi, I'm aunt Hana." I said, smiling as I reached out my hand to them.
Aurora was the first one to come forward and greet me while the little Lenora was still shy.
"Awww! You look like the baby Eleanor," I said, pinching her cheeks with excitement.
"Aunty, I'm 8, not longer a baby." she complained, wriggling as she tried to free her cheeks from my hands. With Lenora distracted by Aurora's incessant complaining, I tiptoed behind Alice and grabbed her before she could react. She was shocked, eyes widen with fear, teary as if she would cry anytime.
"Awww! I'm sorry. Please don't cry. Aunty was just playing, she didn't mean to scare you." I said, trying to coax, her eyebrows furrowed, the bottom lip trembling as her eyes got watery.
I tried hushing her as carried her to the play room to get her a toy. The moment she saw all the toys in the playroom, her eyes lighten with excitement. She turned to look at me and asked if she could play with them.
"Can I really play with?" she asked, tear drop from her watery eyes earlier on flowing down her face.
The moment I nodded, she immediately rushed down to play. I was shocked by her enthusiasm the moment I nodded. I bent down and introduced her to Ha-jun and Ha-eun then stood up and walked to Aurora.
"Did you have anything to eat on the way?" I asked, as I reached out for my phone in my pocket.
"We weren't hungry so we didn't eat anything." she said, her eyes flickering with truth as she tried to hide what she really wanted.
One look at her face and I knew she was afraid to say.
"Your mom is still sleeping on the couch and if we were to order we would wake her from rest. Alice clear the remaining things on the schedule for today." I said, walking towards the my table to pack up.
After I was done with my packing, I went to the play and packed the twins' things. Lenora was reluctant to part with a white bunny teddy, which happened to be Ha-eun's favorite. Lucky enough, Ha-eun was generous enough to give it to her. After I was done packing their things, I put them in their baby stroller and left. Aurora and Lenora followed behind with Alice carrying my laptop bag and hand bag. We left Alice behind and went to a mall. When we got there, we headed straight to Mc Ds and got them something to eat. We then went to Mochi pastry to buy them some muffins, a cake and some juice before heading to the toy store to buy them some toys. By the time we were done with our shopping, it was already time for their Eleanor to knock off. Aurora was pushing the baby stroller while I pushed the trolley full of the toys and desert. We got to the car, loaded everything and left. While on the way I called Eleanor to tell her that I'll bring the kids to her house. She knew very well that I had found out about her situation and was scared by what will happen if I reached her house first.
She rushed to get home before me, to avoid being a widow at a young age. When I arrived at her house, I found that she had also brought 2 bodyguards with her. Just looking at the guards who were waiting for me outside made me want to laugh her head off. We got off the car, the guards came to help with the bags. She walked to us and gave her kids a kisses on the forehead.
"How was spending time with aunt Hana?" she asked, reaching for their bags. "It was fun. She took us to Mc Donalds, Mochi pastry and even bought us lots of toys." They both said, their eyes full of joy as they showed her all the thing I bought for them.
She then turned to look at me with a face that was basically begging me not to do anything out of rush. I nodded then carried the twins out of the car and put them into their stroller and headed for the house.
