The aliens saw the Cern research facility and took over. The thing supposedly created the Mandela effect. People had headaches and so much more. The aliens tweaked it and apparently it was now a time travelling machine. Once that story had spread far and wide people with different points of view started looking for the building. A few managed to sneak in but was evicted once security had discovered them. The alien had to assure everyone that there is no time machine. They are simply conducting physics experiments. Roland dared me to sneak in and find out if there was a time machine. I accepted his challenge and went to the facility. The aliens were busy with the calibration. I made myself invisible so they wouldn't notice me. An alarm was tripped but no one saw me. They assumed it was a flaw in security and moved on. I managed to crawl through pipes and went through the different doors till I reached a wall which was between me and the tunnel. I snuck in through the cracks and whatever till I was inside. The walls were painted white and it seems to be a ring. I heard a whirl and then a thin filament appeared it was black with yellow line in the middle. It soon resembled a cluster of nerves. The filament expanded and contracted before it became it became white hot. There was a blinding light. I wished I was somewhere simple. I wished I was in Ravencroft Academy.
I saw images along the walls and suddenly I crashed on the floor. I looked up to see Irene and Daisy. They were in shocked. Sonja asked me if I discovered a new method of transportation. I shook my head, "I am from the future. I went through the Cern research institute and got inside their particle accelerator. It brought me here." The younger version of me had questions and I answered them before she had a chance to say it. I explained that as the question in her head I hear it too. She believed me. She wanted to know what the future held. I explained that I am now accepted by the Nocturnal community. I am amongst the three leaders. Right both sides are at war. But in the future they unit. They have a law. A leader is placed to rule them for a hundred years. One from the vampires. One from the werewolf and the last hundred years is mine to rule. She asked me how old I was. I answered that I was seven hundred years old. I have made friends. I have adopted and raised kids. I have a husband. She blushed red as I touched her cheek to show her everything. I told her that people will come for her blood. It can enhance their abilities and also make them immune to the poison that kill them. Sunlight for vampires and silver for werewolves. The only thing that made they can't bleed me was the deadly nightshade. I started taking it little by little until I developed an immunity to it. Now I consume everyday in various quantities. Both sides can't use my blood unless they want to die.
Mom called and I was frozen as the younger me spoke. When she was done I asked her to call mom again. I haven't heard her voice in ages. The younger me asked why and I showed her. She hit redial so fast it was a blur. It went straight to voicemail. I still listened to her voice. The younger me wiped my tears as she asked me about the future. I told her about Batou and the twins. Iade sure to raise them to productive members of society. But I also made sure they wore clothes that don't require any ironing. The younger me approved. Both of us hate ironing. Irene was laughing as was Sonja. I told them about the five kids they raised in Valentina. I told them about the army evicting them from this school and how they followed us to Winter and tried to abscond it too. The headmaster responded with a firm no and soon the academy was attacked by zombies. I got everyone to the prison where mom and their was. I told them about rescuing orphans. Shaw was there doing specimen collection. I recalled the day he was evicted. He came back and shot mom point blank in the head without batting an eyelash. I told them how I ripped out his heart. I distracted them and ran away so everyone else can get out. Our gang and family plus the orphans to a train. We boarded it and moved towards the farmlands where we were farmers while the kids went to school. How it became the divided States of America. Nine nations and we will lived in Greendale. We freed slaves and we live a simple life. But everyday I would give anything to save mom. I looked up to see the younger me crying. She didn't fault me for shielding the kids. She would do the same. The question was how to rescue mom in the process.
Sonja suggested practicing speed. I am faster than the bullet. My reaction time was slow. So the lesson was how to get to mom faster whilst protecting the kids. I wanted them about Molly and they promised to thread lightly. I also mentioned the werewolf and vampire community finding about me. We went to an underground club and Shaw raised the place and I rescued everyone. The vampires made the humans forget. They left without incident. The werewolf leader was the ponytail man. His name is Cain. He becomes a good friend. I promised to keep Molly distracted so she won't be a problem. The girls went to the club and was grabbed as I had predicted. The younger me came and we started practicing how we can rescue mom. I felt it was best if we practiced by saving mom to begin with. We can be invisible so she won't notice. The other me agreed. The others called us S1 and S2. I make sure to be invisible so no one would suspect anything. The day came and we had to move. I laughed as the others cursed the army for kicking us out. I flew both of us to the apocalypse store and got their premium package. We divided all the goods and I followed them in the air. No one suspected anything. I was on alert the entire time. Mom called to confirm I was in Winter. The military gave everyone a nice rinse and a sunbathing before the headmaster threw them away explaining that once they are in Winter they are not allowed out so the possibility of us becoming Nocturnals was slim to none. The general wanted to leave a few of his men here but he was denied.
When the man left with a very sour and dejected expression I made it clear that the girls need to keep their go backs somewhere accessible. It will make it easier when I excuse myself and quietly switch bags when they arrive because once they break the windows we are heading for the garage. The girls left their go backs in the common room for easy access. A few days later the zombies arrived and I helped the younger me switch bags. As they got out of the classroom I extended my shield so they will be safe. As we got out I retracted the shield because I saw a drone hovering above recording everything like it was for entertainment purposes. I took a rock and smashed it. Then I directed the girls to the garage where we boarded an SUV. We made sure stop at the necessary places and also I made sure to remain invisible. We got hosed and the doctor checked us for bites before letting us in. Everything went as normal but this time I was ready. Then the day came when Shaw was evicted and he came back for me. I saw the look he gave and instincts took over. I sped up at maximum velocity and pulled her out of the way. I pushed one of Shaw's men in front instead. I linked with the younger me. She gave the word and the girls held hands with the kids and you get me. She made herself invisible and snuck out. I grabbed mom and brought her to the bus. I told them to get going while I slow them down. Younger me left with tears on her eyes. I slashed the tyres and tipped over their vehicles so they can't follow us. Then I ran at torpedo speed. Thankfully Alice and her mom was left behind. We got to the basement and stayed there till the next morning.
I decided enough is enough so I made my visible. It took mom a few minutes to process everything but she calmed down. I cooked the kids spaghetti and a few other things. Then I picked up the twins. They asked me what will happen now. I caressed their faces as I explained that I am their new mommy. I sang them lullabies and waited till they fell asleep. Mom was impressed. The others stared with interest. Both of us stood guard and finally when morning came I made sure they took the original route till they reached the train once they were on board I told the younger me to disembark everytime and collect as much goods as possible since it will be handy. Once they crossed the bridge it will be demolished. So there is no return trip. She promised me and gave me a hug before she went to her train cart. Then I wished everyone luck before I went to find Cern to activate the particle accelerator one more time to go home. I activated it and made myself there at record speed I guess once you know how it done the second time is muscle memory. A thin filament appeared and it glower before taking me back to the present. I snuck out of the place and made my way back to the palace. Sam was grinning ear to ear as I came. The werewolves bowed with respect. I bowed back. We went to the throne room and we talked about the problems of the week. I pursed my lips and Sam asked me if we were heading in the path of destruction. I reminded him that the peace we are enjoying is fragile. We should be involved in one sided ideals. I asked for a compromise. An hour later everyone agreed and Sam convened the meeting.
I excused myself and Oleg carried me to the balcony. We danced to no music but to the beat of our hearts. Roland was smiling. I asked Oleg if everyone had inhaled laughing gas. Oleg smiled, "We saw everything. How you saved your mom and how you didn't compromise on yourself. You didn't let Irene or Sonja in your head." I asked him if he still hate them. Roland replied, "With a fiery vengeance." I smiled, "at least that episode is behind me" Serena explained that there are those who want to time travel to a time when I wasn't poisoned or nab the box before I got it so they can get to be super hybrid. I smiled as I recalled informing the younger me to take deadly nightshade as a precaution. I smiled and wished them luck since they don't have the time machine only worked because an alien gave me a formula that is time related. The particle accelerator won't work for them without it. Serena was kind enough to pass it on. The alien in question was long gone. And rumor has it he died. So acquiring the formula is a bust. I danced till I felt embarrassed. I came in to see my babies. They were pleased to see me too. Hugs and kisses later we were on the roof watching a moron preach that zombies were the next stage of evolution for the humans. It is injustice to keep them out. So he requested that the people join him to tear down the wall. The pedestrians nearly ripped him limb from limb. One brave soul actually threw this crazy one to meet up with the evolved ones. I got up to see mom and Batou watching me. He grinned, "She is no longer the little girl who struck the washing machine." Mom stared teary eyed, "My baby is all grown up" I almost slipped and slid to the garden.
