The Scythers was feeling quite distressed.

The scent of the berries on them had been causing a lot of trouble.

Fortunately, the Pokémon in Evan's breeding house were not aggressive. Otherwise, Scyther feared they might be mistaken for berries and eaten.

Lately, some Beedrill had been eyeing them strangely.

Now, these Scyther barely dared to leave their master's side.

During rest periods, they preferred staying in the workshop.

While processing the berries, Scyther glanced at the scythe-like blades on its arms.

Lost in thought.

Would licking the blade be a good idea?

It might have some flavor.

The strange thought flickered through Scyther's mind.

However, they quickly shook it off.

Instead, Scyther quietly resumed working.

Maybe there would be an extra meal in the evening.

They were quite content with their current owner.

Working during the day, finishing up at night, and then heading home, where their trainer would always prepare some snacks for them.

With all the good food, they had put on a little weight recently.

Yet, even a proud warrior had to admit—life was wonderful.

Meanwhile, Evan was busy preparing energy cubes for Marshadow.

As he worked, Marshadow curiously eyed the large pile of berries Evan had gathered.

Unable to resist, the little Pokémon stealthily snatched a berry and hurried away, vanishing into the shadows.

Evan saw this and couldn't help but shake his head with a sigh.

"Marshadow, don't steal them," he scolded gently.

"These are for your energy cubes."

Marshadow froze for a moment before guiltily returning the berry —after having already taken several bites out of it.

Evan was speechless.

"Fine, just finish that one," he said, exasperated.

"What's the point of putting it back after you've already bitten into it?"

As expected of Marshadow.

Hearing this, Marshadow quickly took the half-eaten berry and darted back into hiding.

Evan simply shook his head and continued working.

From time to time, he explained various breeding techniques to the assistants around him.

Rosa and the others remained busy throughout the morning.

By noon, the energy cubes for Marshadow were finally completed and properly recorded.

As the freshly made cubes cooled, Marshadow eagerly emerged, its eyes locked onto the treats in Evan's hands.

"Wait a moment," Evan said.

"Be patient."

Marshadow, anxious but obedient, nodded rapidly.

"Mar!!"

Evan carefully poured the energy cubes into a large box to cool.

Rosa, watching Marshadow's reactions, found herself musing.

Are all Mythical Pokémon like this?

She had always imagined them as cold and aloof.

But now?

What she saw in front of her was timid and greedy.

It completely shattered her expectations of Mythical Pokémon.

This was outrageous.

Her curiosity grew—what were the personalities of Legendary Pokémon like Zeraora, Tapu Koko, or Zekrom?

It was said that Zapdos had a terrible temper.

She wasn't fond of Zapdos's appearance either.

Even Rosa preferred good-looking Pokémon.

Among the many Electric-type Pokémon, she had only a few favorites.

Most others, she found slightly unappealing.

Perhaps because of this, even though her family ran a Gym, she—the Gym's heir—did not specialize in a single type.

So far, her Pokémon team remained incomplete.

She had only three Pokémon: Ampharos, Luxray, and a Goodra.

Shaking off the thought, Rosa refocused on helping Evan pack the energy cubes into the storage box.

Once all the cubes were properly arranged, Evan called out:

"Vulpix, come here!"

Hearing Evan's voice, Vulpix, who had been lounging in the living room, perked up and quickly trotted over.

"Vul?"

What's going on?

Evan gestured toward the still-warm energy cubes.

Here's your revised text with improved readability, grammar corrections, and consistency with Pokémon terminology:

"Here, let's cool these down."

Instead of putting them in the refrigerator, Evan let Violet's Vulpix handle it.

Hearing Evan's words, Vulpix nodded, trotted forward, and used its Ice-type abilities.

In no time, the hot energy cubes in the box cooled down.

This wasn't the first time it had done this, so Vulpix was quite skilled at it.

Rosa watched the scene unfold and was speechless.

She knew this Vulpix belonged to Violet.

But she hadn't expected Evan to use Pokémon like this for everyday tasks.

Then again, considering that Lucario had already become the kitchen's head chef, maybe this wasn't so strange after all.

The thought made Rosa chuckle.

Once the energy cubes were fully cooled, Evan grabbed a brand-new pot, filled it up, and turned to Marshadow.

"Follow me."

With that, Evan walked straight outside.

Marshadow quickly followed after hearing Evan's instruction.

At the Pokémon feeding area, Evan placed the pot of energy cubes on a table.

Then he pulled up a small stool for Marshadow.

"From now on, when it's mealtime, you'll eat here," Evan explained.

"I'll bring your energy cubes here. If you get hungry, just come and eat.

"Got it?"

He gestured to the Pokémon already eating from their bowls and looked at Marshadow.

It was lunchtime, and Evan's Pokémon had already started eating.

Gardevoir had just come out with its energy cubes.

Seeing the setup, Marshadow nodded eagerly.

Got it.

With Gardevoir and the others around, Marshadow felt safe.

Evan couldn't resist rubbing its head.

It felt soft, like cotton—really pleasant to the touch.

Marshadow glanced at Evan, then scurried over to the stool, sat down, and picked up an energy cube to eat.

With Marshadow settled, Evan turned to Machamp.

"Machamp, after dinner, move the remaining energy cubes from the workshop into the house.

"Understood?"

Hearing Evan's request, Machamp immediately nodded.

"Guah!"

No hesitation.

With that settled, Evan returned to the workshop.

"Rosa, Isla, let's go eat first," he said.

"We can continue working after lunch."

"Oh, right—Rosa, you have Pokémon too, don't you?"

"Let them out so they can eat with Pikachu and the others."

Thinking of this, Evan couldn't help but suggest it.

Mei should have her Pokémon with her.

She might as well let them eat together with Pikachu and the rest.

Rosa nodded.

"Then I won't hold back."

"Ampharos, Luxray, Goodra—come on out!"

She released all three of her Pokémon.

Evan was a little surprised to see her team.

When he spotted Goodra, his eyes suddenly lit up.

"Is your Goodra male or female?"

Hearing this, Rosa gave Evan a puzzled look, question marks practically floating above her head.
