Gladion watched the female Tyranitar speak to Collosus. The distance and the battle noise made it impossible to hear her words, but her body language told the story.
'Maybe she is saying she wants to have his strong babies,' Gladion thought with a small laugh.
Collosus froze for a second. Then he leaned forward and started sniffing her carefully. She sniffed him back. Both of them looked completely serious.
'Huh. So Tyranitar find mates by smell. Good to know. I am glad that I won't have to now worry about Ocllosus getting a mate for himself with his grumpy nature.' Gladion noted the information down in his mind.
A big, rocky smile spread across Collosus's face. He gave his own slow lick on her cheek. She rumbled happily.
Gladion felt warmth in his chest. 'My little Collosus finally found love. I am so proud. We would throw a huge party if a legendary bird was not trying to cook us right now.'
Collosus pointed one claw toward Gladion and said something. The female Tyranitar tilted her head and stared at Gladion with suspicion.
Gladion waved cheerfully. 'Whenever you are ready to introduce me, buddy.'
As if he heard the thought, Collosus turned and walked over with the female right beside him. They stopped in front of Gladion.
Gladion smiled wide. "I am so proud of you, buddy. You finally found love. I always believed there would be someone strong enough to handle you. You have my full blessings."
Collosus's rocky cheeks turned slightly pink. He shook his head fast. The female Tyranitar gave Gladion a death glare that could melt steel.
Gladion scratched his head. 'Is he embarrassed to admit it in front of me? Aww, cute.'
Collosus sighed and spoke in the deep rumble only Gladion could understand clearly. [Glady, she is not my girlfriend or my love. She is my mother.....my birth mother.]
Gladion's brain stopped working for three full seconds.
His first thought was pure horror. 'Did I just cheer for Pokémon incest?'
"She is… your mother?" he asked, voice cracking as he tried to confirm it.
Collosus nodded once.
Gladion opened his mouth, closed it, opened it again. No words came out.
The mother Tyranitar sniffed the air around Gladion. [You carry the smell of that Maren human, human.] she said in a low, gravelly voice.
Gladion remembered how he got Collosus egg in first place. Grandpa Maren had saved a powerful Tyranitar during the Infinite Pokémon War. Grandpa had gone to Mt.Sikber during his fifth birthday. In return she gave him one of her eggs and asked him to raise the child far from the mountain. That egg became Collosus.
"Yes, ma'am. Grandpa Maren was my grandfather," Gladion answered politely.
She studied him for a long moment. [You took good care of my little baby. Thank you. Your grandfather promised his grandson would raise my child well. I can see he kept his word. My son grew stronger than any of us in only ten years.]
She stepped forward and rubbed her huge head against Gladion's entire body in affection. The push almost knocked him over.
"Thank you, ma'am," Gladion said, steadying himself. "Umm, we really need to keep moving forward. A legendary bird is coming, and humans stole many eggs, including one from your nest, I think."
Gladion had to managed to find why the Pokemon were angry through reading the minds of few Pokemon. There suspicion was right. Team rocket had caused this incident by stealing eggs of various Pokemon tribes.
Her eyes flashed with pure fury. [Humans took my egg!]
Gladion raised both hands quickly. "I know, I know. That is why the whole mountain is angry. Team Rocket stole eggs to make everyone rampage. I promise you, if your egg is still safe, I will bring it back personally."
She growled, smoke coming from her mouth.
Gladion kept his voice calm and honest. "Collosus is my family. That makes the egg my family too. I will not rest until it is safe with you again. You have my word."
The mother Tyranitar stared deep into his eyes. She saw truth there. Slowly, she nodded.
She turned and gave a sharp bark to Collosus. Then she walked to the male Tyranitar lying on the ground and dragged him by one arm. Blood still dripped from his head, but he was breathing.
Gladion called out quickly. "Mystique, use life dew on him, please."
Mystique slithered over and released water droplets on him. The male Tyranitar's wounds closed. He groaned and opened his eyes.
The mother spoke to the other four Tyranitar who had stopped fighting completely after seeing Collosus mother hug Collosus.
The general and his Pokemon along with Ultron and Eldergreen though waited in battle ready stance of the battle restarts again.
The Tyranitars listened to her low rumbles. One by one, they walked over and rubbed heads with Collosus in greeting.
The father, still dizzy, stood up and wrapped both arms around his giant son in a big, rocky hug. Collosus hugged back carefully.
Gladion felt his eyes get a little wet. Family reunion in the middle of a war zone. Only in the Pokémon world.
Collosus walked back to Gladion. [They are going to help us move forward. My mom's the leader and the others are of her tribe. She decided that she would help us reach the top. She would help us stop Moltres, whom she calls the mountain ruler. Though she doubts our chances and would try to bargain for our lives if we fail.]he said.
Gladion blinked in complete surprise.
