The army had climbed halfway up Mt. Silver when the next wave slammed into view. Bigger Pokémon now led the charge. Ursaring the size of trucks. Donphan rolling like boulders. Steelix bursting from the rock face.
Even the flying pokemon of the horde decided to have a piece of the army.
Hundreds of flying Pokémon broke free and dove straight at them to attack them.
Gladion raised his voice above the noise. He pointed upfront, "Guy, Lee. Time to punch our way through."
Guy flexed all four arms and struck a shining pose. [It is time to show these angry fellows the true power of YOUTH, my fellow disciple! Our fists will burn brighter than the sun itself! Feel the springtime of our souls explode!]
Lee cracked his knuckles. The Annihilape's eyes blazed red. [Youth? I will show them youth AND RAGE! I will punch their faces so hard that their own mother's won't recognise them and then punch again for good measure!] He let out a manic laugh that made nearby soldiers step back nervously.
Gladion almost laughed despite the danger. His two fighting giants were already bouncing on their toes.
Before he could give the others orders, the sky filled with wings. Hundreds of Fearow, Crobat, and Aerodactyl screamed down like arrows.
Gladion changed plans instantly. "Zeus, Tengen, Mystique. Focus on the flyers! Zeus, chain Thunderbolts. Save power, just knock them down to ground. Just try and hit as many as Pokemon as possible. Mystique, Ice Beam their wings. Freeze their wings solid so that they fell from the sky. This should be enough to make them unconscious. Tengen, finish anything that keeps flying or attacking after it hits the ground."
The three Pokémon moved at once. Zeus leapt high and fired bright yellow bolts. Each bolt split in the air and struck dozens of birds. Wings locked, bodies smoked, and Fearow plummeted like stones.
Mystique rose gracefully and breathed pale blue beams. Ice spread across wings in seconds. Crobat turned into frozen statues and crashed.
Tengen became a red blur, Steel Wing flashing. He sliced through anything still moving after the fall.
Gladion turned to the ground fight. "Nyx, Hydros. Keep Guy and Lee from being swarmed by the Pokemon."
Nyx fired shadow balls. Hydros fired high-pressure water jets that sent Ursaring flying.
Ultron hovered above, eyes scanning every direction. Gladion spoke quietly. "Watch everyone. Save your strength unless someone is about to die. I need you on support when we fight Moltres."
Gladion did not give Collosus any orders as it stayed at the front. He wanted him to save energy as he was going to fight Moltres later. He did not want Collosus to be tired before even the start of that fight.
Lee fought like a wwe wrestler who was in a street brawl match. Shadow Punches shot out in every direction. Lee cackled wildly as he danced through the pokemon
Guy was using his four-arms to his full advantage. His top right fist burned with fire for Grass types. Top left crackled with thunder for Water types. Bottom right froze with ice for Ground types. Bottom left glowed silver with steel type energy for Rock types.
Every punch whether it was fire punch, ice punch, thunderbolt rounch or bullet punch landed perfectly.
Guy might look like a muscle head but Gladion had taught him about different Pokemon and their type weaknesses and Guy used it to their full advantage.
More flyers kept coming. Soldiers helped shoot them down, but the numbers grew.
Gladion tried to find a way to counter this.
He wiped sweat from his face. The heat from Moltres's Sunny Day was getting to him. Then an idea hit him. "Sunny Day. Perfect."
He looked up at Elder Green. "Prepare Solar Beam."
The Tropius tilted his long neck and grinned. He understood instantly. His giant leaf wings caught the fierce sunlight and began to glow white. Light particles rushed in faster than ever before.
Gladion lifted himself off the saddle with telekinesis. Elder Green shot upward, wings spread wide. The glow became blinding. Energy gathered in seconds.
Sunny day helped increase the power of Solar beam. Gladion wondered how would a sunny day from a legendary Pokemon effect the solar beam now.
"Now fire!"
A massive pure-white beam exploded from all four wings. It was thicker than a house because Tropius wings collected so much sunlight. The Solar Beam punched straight into the centre of the flying horde.
Hundreds of bodies dropped at once. Wings burned off. Bodies split apart. The sky cleared in one blinding flash. Dead and wounded birds rained down.
Gladion floated back onto Elder Green's saddle and patted his neck. "Good job, old friend."
The army cheered and pushed forward again, stepping over the fallen.
Then the mountain shook. Six bright Hyper Beams cut through the smoke and dust, aimed right at them.
Ultron teleported in front of Collosus. Its eyes flashed. A wide Light Screen appeared, glowing bright blue and white from both Metagross and Gladion's combined power. The six beams slammed into the barrier. Light exploded everywhere. Rock melted. The air screamed.
When the smoke cleared, six huge angry Tyranitars stood blocking the path.
They opened their mouths and roared together. .
Collosus stepped forward. He threw his head back and answered with a single roar louder than all six combined.
