"Cmon! You Sons of Bitches! Give us everything you got!" Bailey Screamed as he slammed his massive fist upwards in a devastating uppercut! Sending one of the 80 Ton Tanks flying through the air! He had been the one to send the other tank into the air that Azar had seen mere moments prior!
A Cacophony of Screams reverberated through the Battlefield as the heard 'The Wall''s declaration to the Marines! But perhaps those may have been a poor choice of words…
From the Distance! Loud canon shots fired one after the other in a rhythmic line! Dom! Dom! Dom! Dom! Dom! It seemed to have been coming from the middle of the island? No! It was further back! It was coming from the training grounds and ship yard just behind the main fortress of Ingens! Black trails of smoke shot up through the air as thermal energy formed around the front of the incoming projectiles!
"Mortars! Get down!" Angler Screamed! Through a net through the air and catching it with his Fishing rod to bring it quickly down on the Pirates near him!
"Take Cover!" Morozzo screams! Unsheathing his swords and sending two slices through the air! And knocking one of the projectiles off course! But the explosion he expected did not come!
The Black trail of Smog ceased as sparks flew! The Projectile then slammed into the ground a distance away from the Swordsman of the Redbeard Pirates. Dust floating up from the crater only for-
A Hand to slam into the ground! And begin to lift up! Its head was obscured by the dust. But its eyes were glowing a distinct red glow…
In a moment, it was up! Standing at its immense over 20 foot height!
Morozzo's eyes widened! He sensed danger coming but didn't expect what happened next! A pair of lasers shot from with in the dust cloud! And as it moved through the air, Morozzo dashed to the side! Dodging the beam!
The Explosion dissipated the dust revealing that it was indeed!
A Harbinger!
Rolling over himself, and readying both of the his blades out wards as if they were wings, The Swordsman thought to himself. 'These must be the New Tehertz Machines I've Heard so much about…Just how many of them are the-' before the thought could finish, a sixth sense shivered down his spine as a threat came soaring towards him from the side!
Sparks sprayed as blade clashed against blade! And at the same time the Harbinger shot another beam of energy as he was locked in with a strange machine with blades on its hands and arms!
Morozzo, with almost no effort sliced and deflected the beam, followed by the spray of bullets from the mounted 20 mm autogun on the Machines wrist with his swords moving in a blur like lightning!
As for what was in front of him, and attempting to distract him. Was a spindly machine. With long legs that elevated its height to 8 feet tall. It had minimal armor on its body, and its joints seemed be leveitating via electromagnetic propulsion! It had two arms that detached both split down the middle to with swords in its hands, and edged blades serving as its forearms. It had a face like a skull with two fins that were thin at its side!
Morozzo Deflected with true precision, one of the 20 mm rounds causing it to explode into the left upper arm of the Machine! Causing its arm to detach! But as if it was ready for it, the Machine leaned upwards like a gymnast, and grabbed the sword from its detached arm with a spiked bird like foot attached to digitigrade limbs only to then slice down ward back at Morozzo!
"Gah!" 'This machine…' He began to think 'It must be made to counter swordsmen! Those joints, Shoulders, hips and neck. Hovering and causing them to stumble any swordsman that would go for those areas…But its still able to be damaged…' he processed these thoughts in under a second as he watched the Robot reattach a damaged arm to the magnetic socket. Char and warped metal along the bicep area!
Mean while the Harbinger was still on the attack! The entire time, Morozzo had been bouncing and dodging the round it shot and followed it up with a beam! Thinking quickly, Morozzo used the side of his sword to deflect laser! Causing it to pierce and expose the middle of the Sword Bot known as 'Harbinger Model; Blade'
With a simple sword stroke, he sliced the Robot in half! With enough strength that it caused a whirlwind disk of concentrated air to then slice through the Harbinger as well! An Explosion illuminating the Swordsman
But new additions to the Fight were far from over! A scream caused his eyes to shoot across the Battlefield!
"Scrawl!" He Screamed! The Robed man that served as the Information Broker of the Redbeard Pirates screamed! A Giant Dog Like Machine with a massive square like head that possessed a jaw full of razor sharp teeth currently had its maw wrapped around the Tenth Division Commander! Shaking its head from side to side!
The pirate Attempted to use his Scroll Scroll Fruit to bind and stop the New Harbinger Model; Hound, from tearing him apart! But the Dog did not subside! Before Morozzo could send a devastating slice of air to stop the death of another Crewmate…
Blood shot through the air!
Scrawl…Had been torn in half! His legs and torso falling to the side as blood popped and splattered against the ground as if a balloon of water had split at the seams!
One of the many pieces of Parchment that recorded Scrawls life…Fluttered through the air. The words: 'I remember when I first picked up a pen. It felt like I could finally make something of myself' fell into the pool of blood.
"Hrgggh…Windfall!" Morozzo Screamed! Pulling both his swords to the left of his body and spinning through the air! Splitting the Dog in half as it attempted to spit a pillar of fire towards him!
Else where…The Third and Final New Model of Harbinger; Brute was in the middle of Fighting with the Sixteenth Division Commander, Stern. The Machine was half the height of a typical Harbinger DX Model. It was the body of a bull with torso of and arms of a man. A simple Camera Aperture Served as a head while the bull head in its stomach served as it actual brain. It was meant to serve as a road block and lock itself to the ground with its powerful legs that could drill into the ground, and arm lock an opponent in a bear hug!
The Football Padded man attempted to scrap his feet into the ground! Slamming his shoulder again and again into the machine that was pushing more force back against him! "Cmon you fucking hunk of junk!" He slammed a fist into the side of the machine
"I've gone up against elephants worse than you!!" He screamed as he wrapped his arms around the bulls waist and with a mighty scream suplexed it backwards! And slammed it into the ground with such strength ot caused a massive crater! "Grah!"
It had been 23 Minutes now since the start of the Supreme War. And now. The Headway that the Redbeard Pirates had started to make. Has been thwarted by the arrival of the devastating War Machines known as Harbingers.
The 20 mm Autoguns, Missile Barrages, and Lasers of the DX Models are quickly whittling through hundreds of the weaker members of the Redbeard Pirates that came to lay down their life for the Emperor who has given them so much.
And yet still…There is no sign of Falcon D. Leroy and the Escapees of Imperious Styx that were seemingly making their way to the Marine Headquarters at the same time the Redbeard fleet had arrived…
But all is not lost.
For these Pirates. Allies and Crewmates alike, will fight tooth and nail and lay down their death to free Azar…
For they had made it 100 Meters into the Crescent Platform from the Bay where the Fleet Flagship 'The Fancy' was sitting, beached from the now cement filled ocean.
