A Revving sound filled the air as Leroy sped down the street and took a harsh quick corner. Sitting in the Monowheel with a wicked grin on his face "Leroy!" Kirk shouted after him.
Calliope laughed wickedly herself as she chased after Leroy on her own Monowheel. "You aint getting away that easy!" She said as she revved and disappeared around the corner chasing after her captain.
"Cal-Ugh!" Kirk said as he revved the monowheel he sat on. It was connected to a roofed cart where the other members of the Crew sat inside. It was almost like a Cattle carriage but made for people and was comfortable inside.
Those in the back suddenly jerked as the Monowheel it was directly connected to sped forward. The hooked lantern inside bobbing back and forth. The paper walls that had swirls of green on them. Deep purple velvet seats soft against the crew sitting
"This Vehicle is incredible!" Eddie said, again apart into many bones as he sat in Ravens lap. "Its similar to a Motorcycle." Jeanne said "Using a motor, which is a machine that uses small explosions within the metal caused by fire expanding pistons that then move the rest of the Vehicle forward. Usually using something like Whale Oil or other types of Fuel."
"Fascinating." He rolls over on Ravens lap "Raven Dear." He asks "Yes?"
"Could you do me a favor and put a coin in my mouth. I'm a bit tight on cash right now and I'd like to give a tip to our driver when we're done." He smiled, causing Raven and a few of the others to chuckle
Both Calliope and Kirk caught up to Leroy. They were out of the smaller town that served as a pit stop for the Monowheels who were traveling around the Island
The Treads of the Bikes left small marks on the mossy grass of the wooded roots that connected a disconnected section of Stand 13. Almost like a natural Bridge
It wasn't much longer after that, where a building built out of a Desamare Tree sat. The words "Handy Lounge, Bar and Services." It was round, almost like a hut that had a tree growing out of the top of it. Roots flowing down the sides of the building. It was large enough to where the taller of individuals would be able to enter. Including Eddie
"Huh…So this is where that Zeke guy is?" Calliope said as she skid the bike to a stop. Kicking the kick stand out automatically with her Jiki Jiki powers. Allowing it to lean freely.
"Yeah…Supposedly by the looks of it…" Leroy eyed the building. Looking it up and down. There was something about it. As if looking into a cave with a bear hungry and enraged at prey coming into its territory. But subdued. Boiling. Waiting.
Kirks bike came to a stop. Kicking the stand out on both sides instead of one for the vehicle to balance on its own as the Carriage behind was attached directly
The Back opened. And the crew filed out. Eddie specifically literally rolls out of the back in a pile of bones to quickly begin glowing with that blue and green energy to reattach his bones back together. Quickly reconstructing him back to his full dozen feet stature
Sujikiki then hopped out of the back as well. His movements were sluggish, and his hand holding his bandaged torso, arm in a sling as the muscle had been shredded. Any Normal bullet even the strongest of Natural Calibers should bounce off a fishman. But that was no ordinary round.
He held a slight reservation on his face, but a reassuring pat came from behind as Kael was the last to hop out. He gave a small grin to the Kid "Cmon. Put some pep in that step, swordsman."
He continued walking, hand on his sword hilts. Suji felt a small stir in his heart as the man that he had fought acknowledged him. A small sharp toothed smile came over his face as he picked up his pace to keep up with the rest.
A quick three knocks came over the large wooden door with a porthole window in the middle of it. Almost immediately a voice came from behind it "Who the hell knocks on a Bar Door? Just come in!" The voice was feminine. Leroy raised his brow and accepted the invitation and opened the door. Nearly silently opening, but ringing a bell above them
He opened the door. And the inside was so far and away different than the outside that it would give the idea that it wouldn't be the most cozy of places. It was made of dark wood, with the corners carved into scrolls almost like what would be atop marble pillars.
Dark Mahogany paneling lined the walls. Nice comfortable sofa chairs sat in the corners surrounding tables that had cigar paraphernalia on it for smoke. Tumblrs for whiskey as well. The further end right in front of the crew as they entered was a fireplace that was large and decorative. A small blaze inside it. They hadn't seen a chimney. This was because it went up through the entire tree
To either side of the chimney were a doorway that lead off into the back. A small set of stairs was disappearing to the right in the left side
The middle of the roof was convex in shape, giving a sizable bump to the ceiling where inside it a glass like window covered lights behind it causing it to defuse and shine as one light.
Finally to the right wall was a full bar. Bottles of all varieties behind it as a woman in an orange flowered blouse and dress pants stood in front of the bottles. Her hair was auburn and was a curled medium length bob. Her face was slim, and round.
"Oh my…" She said as her eyes locked on from crewmate to crewmate. "Oh! Sujikiki. Back so- Oh my what happened to you child? I thought you left the Island two days ago?"
"Hey Dahlia…No. I didn't. Some shithead slavers caught me. Broke my sword and cuffed me. I almost had 'em but there were too many of 'em. These guys here helped me out.." Suji seemed to have known the woman, and vice versa.
"Oh! Well. At least you're okay." She said in a surprisingly casual way. But that was simply because he was here. He was alive. And was patched up.
"As for you 9…I know you very well…The Red Sash Pirates. Quite the Stir all of you have stirred up. Hope you haven't caused any on the island yet." She leaned and tilted her head
"Heh. Yeah. Something like that." Leroy answered back "But we were told that the guy here, Zeke, was going to be the best option for getting our ships coated? Whatever that is."
Dahlia smiles. She was only about 5'9 but stayed consistently bent on the bar. Her hazel eyes gleaming. There were only the tiniest of hints that she was not as young as she appeared. Seemingly in her late 20s early 30s. But the small almost unnoticeable lines said otherwise
"Zeke…You're here for Zeke! Well then. I best I shouldn't keep you all waiting, I'm sure he'd love to meet you all!" She said as she pushed herself up and then-
"EZEKIEL WAKE YOUR ASS UP! WE HAVE GUESTS!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. Causing the more sensitive of eared to wince slightly. But Sujikiki and Kale were unfazed.
A groan was audibly heard. "Sorry about this. He's been sleeping off a hangover for the past two days. He's been impossible to wake up but it seems like that finally got him."
Slow steps sound out behind them, causing the crew to turn over their shoulders and look to the left doorway next to the Fireplace
"Ugh. Dahl…You gotta be so- Oh my. We don't just have guests…We have very prolific ones at that!" An old grey haired man with a mustache spoke, coming into view
