Chapter 496 - Incident Report

the ember blossom splashed into the Azure waves sending thick white capped sapphire blue clumps of water into the air as the ship rocked from side to side. Luckily for the crew Calliope had put in one of the gyroscopic balancing devices on the inside of it or more specifically some one that Winslow knew put it in she only had the idea for it but they had the proper technique to be able to implement it

She learned a lot from that crew and all the people that were on it so many people from all across the Grand Line and even people that had specifically been shipped and had expressed cruises all the way to water 9 just for Calliope and the Red Sash Pirates

" Everybody ok?" Kirk shouted from the front of the ship as he went running down the stairs to see what had happened. Raven had made sure to sprout many walls upon the stairway to prevent any of the Marines from walking up them so that it would take them a little bit more time to get to the Navigator.

Calliope was next as she exited through the elevator and on to the main deck her metal prosthesis clattering against the wood. "Shit Dezzi!"

The crew was all around the rabbit mink within moments. They definitely seemed worse for ware. But they weren't too badly beaten up given the fact that they were still able to smile almost coily as if imitating their captain

" I'm I'm ok… The Marine just got a jump on me is all. I couldn't transform at all. I should probably look into seeing if I can figure out a way to do that on command that would certainly help.."

Eddie then jumped down from the railing where he had been shredding his guitar he knew that the captain, first mate, and the Chef all had the situation handled even if he had to watch the rabbit mink get pummeled but he had faith in that they would all be okay especially under Leroy's tutelage

And that faith was well placed seen as how now they were over a mile away from many warships and three of the warships had been put out of Commission.

" Let's get you to the medical bay yeah?" Leroy said as he lifted up the rabbit mink slowly and put them over and into his arms cradling them "This is nice…" The mink said almost sarcastically but with a warm smile.

"Yeah I've got to say You beat the Shit out of Bellamy." The doctor then chuckled and gave a hard cough. Something was definitely broken in their ribs. " Thanks, captain. I remember hearing the punch that you landed on that guy back in Arabasta. I think I heard it a mile away."

" Yeah, I can safely say that I would have heard ears too, from that same distance. And it's clear that Mr Bellamy has certainly gotten stronger. And he's become more fluid with his technique. He was not moving like that before. He had more precision now than he ever had with that blade. He could keep up with you too. And I'd say you're probably about half as strong as I was all the way back then…." That wasn't supposed to be an ego boost on behalf. of the dr. Leroy was being honest. He figured that the mink and all of them, in fact, were very quickly outpacing any of their former selves.

But even still, here they were, getting beaten hard by Marines that were only the rank of captain. Still being given trouble. They were lucky that this was in some sort of. Vice Admiral or full on Buster call. like what had happened back at the Citadel of Justice.

" I surmised that I should be fine by the time they reach whatever island we're headed to." The rabbit mink said confidently as they laid in the medical bay's bed.

" I'd say so too. I think we're about a day or two out from there. I've heard stories once that when he reached the end of the Grand Line, that there can be stretch of the sea that seemed to never end." The navigator said

Raven then piped up to add on to The shorter man's statement " I have heard that as well. Once you reach their end of the Grand Line, there are places and routes that you can stay on for weeks and weeks on end without ever seeing another island, even if you're following a log pose."

"I guess that just adds to all the challenge that the Grand Line and Paradise present. You can be so close to your goal, and yet, so far, the sea throwing yet another challenge for you to overcome. It's one of the reasons why routes are so important in the grand line. Once you find the right current that has been charted down already, you can make it from Island to island, even without a log pose."

Kirk continued after her " Yeah, but from what I've read, that's only for island island, not continuing down routes. I'm sure it'd be possible to kind of circumnavigate around that and make a way to another island in a route. But all those trails And paths can. lead from one side of the grand line all the way to the other without ever seeing another island."

For the rest of the day, the crew actively kept an eye on their doctor, making sure that they were okay. Some of them had to have bandages on them from the swordsmen to the chef. Leroy even needed a few good bandages.

And honestly, that worried him. That Into the Grand Line Beyond Paradise. worried him immensely. They have come so far, so, so very close to the end of paradise And yet still, they struggle.

But once they reach their island. They can wait a few days. weeks maybe, then train and learn Into the Grand Line Beyond Paradise.

All of the Marines on board the warship groaned in pain, as many of them had been rattled from the impact of many of their leadership in higher ranking peers being literally slammed into the side of the sea stone coated battleship

" I get what you meant now Jack. there's something in that guy something…special" Coma said as all of the other beaten marines laid out across cots in the Marines own medial bay.

Even those that had been tossed into the sea had been fished out. Camila being the one to fish Garrick from the water, and Marcus being the one to Fish Sakura from the depths as well.

This was going to be a pain in the Ass to file paperwork for. Another pirate incident report that would end up in a filing cabinet as the Computers (Individuals who do math by hand using computation machines) typed away at their machines

Even right now, Garrick could hear the noise of a type writer being furiously typed away to be sent and scanned via den den mushi off to Marine HQ. Before den dens they had to send it by pigeon or be hand delivered. But even den dens arent the most reliable or have the highest fidelity of information storage. Their eyes arent as good as a humans.

So now, the Marines the past few years had been instead using Den Dens and long range frequencies to send morse code to other telegraphs to be recorded for much, much quicker information recival.

"Damn that Red Sash…" He said as he felt his vision blur on the edge of sleep again.
