Kale had stood there like a statue long enough for the whole crew to see his situation…But by the time he felt the hand of his captain on his back. He allowed himself to Collapse
"Hoist the colors high now…Its time for to sail– How" Eddie began to murmur to himself. Lightly strumming on the guitar in a light riff. It was an old song. One that was nearly 200 years old and had been modernized much in the time since he sang it
The perfect worksong. A song to lift the spirits of those who heard it
The Crew was Bandaged. And Noir had been cooking up a shredded chicken, parmesan, penne pasta noodles and mixed with buffalo sauce that gave it a orange tint to it.
Jers, and the others spoke with melancholy. But there was smiles on there faces even as they mourned the loss of those that faced against Codent and wrought the consequences. They were free after all! Drinks bubbled, glasses clinked as the mood seemed to shift quickly into a celebration!
"Barbary's Gone! Barbary's Gone!" Jers said as he and others took arm and arm and began to shimmy and dance across the floor of a nice house in a line
Even the Hatter and The Rabbit Man danced as they held cigarettes in their mouths, tea spilling on the ground as their tired eyes were filled with glee!
"Leroy!" Dezzi yelled as he adjusted Kales sleeping form into a funny position. "What! He's as-ACK!" Leroy choked as the swords man suddenly awoke and grabbed the captain by his shirt
"What'da think yer doin'?!" Leroy began to playfully tap the mans hand. "Acgh! Uncle Uncle! He's alive!!" He strained his neck and gave a overdramatic grimace
Kale smirked as he let him go. His eyes tired as he looked around. The two pirates began to chat back and forth. Leroy tried to egg the Swordsman on to get an answer out of him as to what had happened. But again, the Swordsman said nothing at all!
"Ugh! You're no fun!" He said blowing raspberries as the First Mate, causing the later to begin chasing the Leroy. Leroy knew what he was doing. He wanted to get the man up and moving! Enough mopping he thought!
Barbary sat beaten and bloodied around his crew. All of them still unconscious save for Absolem and Caldera. Ahres body was covered by a white sheet as they began to move the Osmium Leviathan out of the Port. A few of the Deri and one or two Corsairs with them.
They hadn't gotten everybody. But they knew how to find them if and when they woke up
"Damnable…" Caldera grimaced, Lightly striking the Marshal. Whose face was wrapped completely, Teeth knocked out. One of which Was in the possession of Leroy as a trophy.
"Those fuckin Pirates…How'd we loose!" Gigantus began to stir. "My Haki said that they were weaker than us. Theirs was strong. At least it seemed like it…But I don't think any of them could utilize it even in a basic form…"
"They played smart…Thats all. If they were stupid they'd be dead." Caldera confidently determined.
"Say. Eddie." Leroy walking over to the Skeleton still strumming away "Are you, Okay?"
"Yes. Yes I am. Red Sash– Leroy." He said, shifting his gaze to the Captain "I must thank you. Sincerely. I owe not only my life for helping me, but I owe every life that now sits within me. My crews souls are now within me because of your bravery."
Leroy smiled "Don't worry about it. I knew you needed help." He said sincerely back "But…." He wobbled over playfully "You did say that you'd think about my offer if all went well~!" He cooed in a singsong way.
"Heheh. Yes I did. But I think I owe you also an Explanation. I'll tell you what happened that caused me and the Soronous to end up in the Bleak Passage. But first, how about a song?" His blue orbs were soft as his face smiled
"Do you take request?" Noir said sauntering over "I think I have one in mind…" He took a breath and slowly exhaled. Blue plasma leaving his mouth and taking shape of his crew! Going to instruments around the parlor. Causing eyes to wander and lock onto the sight!
The Piano began play lightly. Then a few orchestral mixing with the guitar strums of Eddie.
"What is that?" Some of the Kaninchebau Residents asked. Jers eyes lighting up "Gahah! A Seas Voyage." He said.
"When I learned it, It was Known as A Pyrates Freedom. But I guess its to be expected that the name would change." He strummed lightly as he began to take a somber, but upbeat tone
"I know it! Sparrow called it a Pirates Life!" He grinned "I doubt these lyrics will be what you know. But just carry on after me…"
Yohoho- Yohoho a Pirates Life Indeed…
Hoist the Colors High Now, It time for us sail–
How–
Out ye see from the bow, the horizon sits--
our liberation waits!
All ye who named a pyrate, Come aboard–!
For We move Toward The Sea Calling for Us!
The Crowd hummed and began to sing along. Beating the tables as they sang
The salty air called to thee. For us?
We weren't born free.
We Cross the sea to foreign land
Far Away
Filled with plunder and plenty wonder.
Thats just pyrates life ya see?
Stomps began to accompany the tune
But–
Dangers Hum, The Rain Comes-- A Storm Brewing!
This any Cruise may be yer last!
Clench your fist, Draw your sword!
This is Pyrates life indeed!
Bang Bang Bang Bang! The Thudding rhythmed around as all the crew joined in some form or another. Even Kales fingers thrummed along
Slice and Strike! Boots slam the deck as we er'y over the edge!
Drown the fiends! Beat the Devil!
Cut, Punch-- O'erboard!
TO the Depths they go!
Victory They Scream! The Enemy Is History!
More and more began to continue in
Day breaks through dawn
we cut from Shore!
A New Day await for those whom still wake!
For we weren't born free.
A Guarantee, we made it our fate!
So–
One last time around
Hoist the Colors High Now, It time for us sail, how--
All ye who named a pyrate, Come aboard--
We move Toward The Sea Calling for Us!
Out ye see from the bow, the horizon sits-- our liberation waits!
For that is…The Pirates Life Indeed!
The Crowd Finished in one full shout. Laughing and chattering filling after the final strum hit!
But. Eddie was not laughing. His head hung in a smile as the Visages disappeared. Absorbing back into him. Leroy walked up to him to pat him on the back "Heheh…Gettin emotional?"
"Yes. Indeed." He looked up to the captain nears flowing from his sockets as he spoke "I think I'm finally glad that I chose to live!"
Eddie then began as Leroy sat in front of him. Retelling the tale from the beginning…
Nearly a Century ago.
