Chapter 448 - The Dome of Violence

Footsteps echoed as a shockwave caused Calliope to stagger on her feet. Loosing her balance while she held the head of a beaten and bloodied. "The hell was that?!"

She was feeling the reverberations of Eddies final performance against the Lying Knave. It was as if she were feeling a Level 4 Earthquake.

She quickly made her way over to the origin of the sound. Using metal beneath her feet as platforms to bounce from leg to leg as she reached the Auditorium's ruins. Seeing all the skeletons and bodies of Deri and Corsairs around Eddie as he stood tall.

"Holy Shit! Ed!" She leapt to the ground, catching herself with a plate of steel and running up to him "Are you okay?!"

Eddies shimmering blue eyes looked to the small Shipwright. "Ah. Calliope. Yes. I am. I'm fantastic in fact."

"Did you find your crew?!" She questioned in a frantic voice "Yes. No need to worry. They are now with me. Forever."

"Wheres the Swordsman at?" He then asked "Oh, right. We've split up. There is someone supposedly waiting for him at the far end of the Island. Another Swordsman. And We thought it best to split up to save energy as to give ourself a tad edge in this whole gauntlet thing."

"Smart. In a Predetermined deathmatch like this, we take whatever we can get." Eddie spoke. That kind gentlemanly demeanor returning.

"We've still gotta get to those Docks. C'mon. Lets not keep 'em waiting!" She said flicking her hair in the Direction and running "One moment, Please."

She stopped "Yea?"

"Would you Kindly put these skeletons in…Some Sort of Protection? So that we may easily retrieve them when we are done?" The Skeleton asked

"Oh, yeah sure." She raised her hand, the small magnetic pink waves like an aurora shimmered around her palms mixed with pink energy

she quickly wrapped all 120 of the Sonorous and Forte in coffins, and sat them on top of one another. "They'll stay here till were done. Since I know where they are. I'll be able to bring them to us from across the island."

Doing such a feat would be extremely difficult with any other metal. But since she has now already manipulated it, and knows its location. She can locate it with in a 20 mile radius

Turning, the two began to run to the docks. Where More Tools, In Chained, Grateful, and Another Motor Head and Motley Crew awaited

Kale hopped from tree to tree. The rocky texture skidding across his boots as he leapt up through the air as continued to dash forward. He needed to pace himself. It'd take more time, but leave him with more energy that going full speed for long distances

‎

It was always a pain for most fighters. They could move swifter in combat. Typically by many times their standard movement since in their everyday running, even when reaching tremendous speeds, never went all out

It was best to save that for burst movement. Allowing for far more moves in combat that slower maneuvers if they speed towards a destination as dozens of times the speed of sound

Kales eyes narrowed as over the Horizon he could begin to see a structure come over it. It was large, like a dome made of iron tied together like a net.

But the bottom of it seemed to be embedded into the ground similar to an arena. "There…That must be that Drome that McBane mentioned…"

It was surrounded by small shacks and buildings that were destroyed or burnt out. The large volcano only a few kilometers away looming over it. It was clear that this place was not residential, but served as entertainment of some regard.

As he landed on the final rock branch of a tree, he leapt with tremendous force to sped through the air! Aiming right for the Drome!

As it got closer and closer he could tell just how big it was. The area of it had to be at most 100 meters around. With 100 feet up from inside

The outside cage looked like it was made out of deep red Copper. Twisted and mangle together. Black rock like volcanic glass on the outside in a top spike at the very top that was many meters tall

Beginning his descent, he could see that there were people clamoring across the cage, spectators. There was space that one could hold onto it and look within.

"Hmph!" The Swordsman landed on the very top of the Drome. Those at the top suddenly startled and began to lose their footing! One of them was only a few feet from Kale, the First Mate aided him with a slight push. Sending him falling down the 100 feet

Thud! The man hit the ground. Causing the man within the Arena already to look up with a smirk on his face.

He was broad and muscular. Wearing a short sleeve shirt that wrapped tight around his body. He had short orange blonde hair. And wore small rectangular glasses on his squared face

"You're here early!" He looked up and shouted. Jeans rubbing against each other as his running shoes tapped on the black and white checkered floor of the arena.

Kale squinted. He then slipped through the bars and jumped down to meet the man! Unsheathing his sword as he did "Glad to disappoint."

He said as he began to rise to his feet from the tremendous fall. The ground unaffected.

"Oh no. By all means, this is good for me, and for everyone else!" He shouted, causing all the spectators to begin cheering in loud whoops and cheers.

"Alright. Lets get to it. Are you the swordsman thats after me? Or are you the Calgera guy?" Kale mispronounced the name. Causing the the man to grit his teeth, a being bulging across his forehead.

"It's Caldrea, you fucking moron…" That made him smile. Very quick to anger it seemed. And quick to simmer as he readjusted himself. "And no, I am Caldera. The Hard Rock Fleet, and Barbary Pirates Second in command!"

"The swordsman however. Will need to wait. Because theres a few preliminary rounds that you've gotta go through first!"

It was Kales turn to frown as he narrowed his eyes. He did not want to wait. But it was definitely a good choice to split up if he was going to have to fight more than two people.

"Fine!" Kale rose his sword. "Then quit Yappin' and let's get started!"

The Cheers continued as Caldera began to clap. Taking a few steps back, eyes widening as Kale suddenly leapt towards him! Senkusha reeled back and swung right for his neck!

The cut didn't make direct contact. But instead was hit by a wall…of lava!

"Tsk tsk. I'm not your opponent yet!" He took a tremendous leap backwards, landing and grabbing the bars of the Dome "Welcome to the Thunderdrome!"

"Let the Games Begin!!"
