The kick cracked the coral on Morgans face, causing him to stumble backwards and loose grip of his pick for a moment as his hand came up to grab at his face
"Grah…" He cracked his neck, more of the coral shattering apart, Noir quickly flipped to his feet. "So you're going to inadvertently do the bidding of a Pirate, A marshal at that?"
"Great question." He refitted his hat onto his skull. "I'd rather not be fizzled out because they get a little shy at my insubordination. After all, when I was alive, my Brandon of Absolute Justice was slow and through. Chipping away at the trunk of the mighty tree until the entire beast falls."
Whipping his shoulder, Noir rolled the sleeves of his turtle neck up to his elbows, tucking the elastic fabric up. "Fair warning then…This trees gonna be a bit harder to fell"
"Oh it will, will it?" He gave a toothy grin that peeled back the side of his cheek that was missing
Spinning the pick around and setting it on his shoulder he spoke again "Though I'd be lying if I said it isn't leaving a bad taste in my mouth…Hah–" He sighed, letting his head hang
"How about this. I can sense that there isn't nearly as much malice in you as in even the Weakest shit bag here." He aimed the pick lazily at The Red Sash Pirate "So I'll let this bout be more…Friendly."
"And don't construed it. I am going to try and kill you, but I'm not going to give that Marshal the Satisfaction in his use of me as a tool. Just make sure to kill me IF you win."
"Wouldn't want it any other way." He finished lighting his Cigarette and flicking the Lighter shut and blowing a puff of grey smoke "Then lets get started…!"
The two burst forth!
"So what was that guy talking about? Someone waiting for you?" Calliope asked "Yeah, apparently someone on the far part of the Islands is waiting for me. Something about a Swordsman."
"Are you going to go after them?" Calliope raised her Prosthetic and allowed it to partially fall apart, new pieces of metal coming back to perfectly reform its design
"No, Not Yet. Can't leave you and the Skeleton behind." The First Mate said in a slightly surprising amount of concern.
Calliope came to a stop, resting her hand on the bottom of her chin. She was contemplating whether or not she should let Kale go and handle whatever was going on at the Far end of the Island.
The purpose of this gauntlet was to wear them down, guarantee that eventually one of the Opponent's left would defeat them and guarantee Barbary a victory.
Kale had just beaten a Swordsman already. And a member of the Motorheads at that. She didn't know who else was going to be in the City of Max, but she doubted there'd be more than two of such stature here. Though the Theoretical second hadn't been revealed yet.
"What?" Kale turned, looking at the Shipwright.
"I don't think we should both fight here. You should go ahead and hurry to the Swordsman waiting for you. Even if you stay here, there's a chance that you wouldn't be in good enough shape to fight that opponent and win."
Kale a cocked a brow "Even if it's just a small thing to guarantee your victory. I think that outweighs any possible prevention of injury or consequence."
Kale wasn't going to ask if she was sure. She'd clearly thought it through. And he had to agree. If it meant the crews victory because they threw a small wrench in the plan that was rapidly working well. Then they'd have to take it
There was no stopping the 'Wearing down the crew' aspect. But if they could mitigate that damage to just barely tilt the odds in their favor. They'd have to take it.
"Okay." The First Mate said with confidence and trust in the Shipwright. Turning on his heel before disappearing as Cali was in the middle of speaking "You go o-...n ahead then."
Cali took a deep breath and let out a sigh as she continued forward, attracting all of the metal around her to form her Metallicasphere.
Eddie's scythes whipped through the air, pulling the souls temporarily out of the bodies of Deri Warriors before letting them snap back in to cause them to fall into unconsciousness. When they were so weak, he could accomplish this ability.
When they're closer to his strength, he is unable to do so. Then there were those to make sure they were kept down, the soul was ripped from them after their defeat.
The music was getting closer and closer
The Skeleton had a Deri Warrior with an oversized spiked Gas mask in his clutches, he continued through the streets, tossing the leather warrior to the side. He saw there was a large concave crater in the ground. Seats lining the outside, carved in the form of steps going deeper and deeper down. The Auditorium then opened up at the bottom with a large stage.
The glow in Eddie's eyes widened as he understood just what he was seeing. It was 100 Forte!
They had all been corrupted to turn into those Demonic forms that the ones left behind on the Sonorous Pirates ship.
They were being forced to continuously entertain the hundreds of Deri and Corsairs that sat around the Auditorium. The distinct sounds of electric guitars and other instruments filling the air in a loud clamor.
One of them on the stage suddenly looked up as they continued to play, seeing Eddie's huge form in the distance.
"Captain!"
