The robot continued its destructive path, each step sending tremors through the street.
"We should go," Haruka said quietly, his eyes already scanning the scene for potential civilian casualties.
Megan gripped his arm, her eyes wide with fear. Kara noticed the gesture, a flicker of something - irritation? jealousy? - crossing her face before professional concern took over.
The massive robot's metallic footsteps thundered through the street, sending pedestrians scrambling in panic. Haruka's instincts immediately shifted to protection mode.
"We need to get out of here," he said urgently, grabbing Megan's hand. Kara nodded, her eyes darting around the chaotic scene.
They joined the fleeing crowd, weaving through panicked people. Haruka kept a tight grip on Megan, ensuring she didn't get separated. Suddenly, he noticed Kara had vanished.
"Stay close," Haruka told Megan, guiding her away from the robot's destructive path. They ducked into an alleyway, putting distance between themselves and the mechanical menace.
When they were far enough from the immediate danger, Haruka turned to Megan. "I need you to go home. Now."
Megan looked concerned. "But what about you?"
"I still have something to do," Haruka said firmly. "Please, go home and stay safe."
She nodded, understanding the unspoken urgency in his voice. Megan quickly departed, leaving Haruka alone in the alley, ready to transform and join the fight.
Haruka sprinted towards the chaotic scene, his eyes quickly locating Supergirl already engaged in battle with the massive robots. The street was a war zone of twisted metal and falling debris. Without hesitation, he activated his transformation, calling out, "Henshin!"
In a flash of aquatic blue and silver, Haruka became Kamen Rider Abyss. The sleek armor with its shark-like fin crest gleamed in the sunlight. He raised his Abyssvisor, a mechanical shark-like device attached to his left arm, and swiftly inserted the Advent card.
[Advent]
With a mechanical roar, two Mirror Monsters materialized from a shimmering mirror portal. Abysslasher, a shark-like creature with saw-edged blades for arms, and Abysshammer, a more armored beast with machine gun attachments, appeared beside Haruka.
He pointed directly at the robots, issuing a clear command. The two Mirror Monsters nodded in understanding. In a spectacular moment, Abysslasher and Abysshammer began to merge, transforming into the massive Abyssodon - a mechanical shark-like creature with chainsaw attachments and piercing machine gun eyes.
Abyssodon charged towards one of the robots, ready to engage in battle.
Haruka inserted the Sword Vent card into the Abyssvisor.
[Sword Vent]
With a mechanical click, two sleek Abyss Sabers materialized in his hands, their metallic blades gleaming with a sharp, aquatic blue edge. The robots surrounding him looked almost comically uniform, like oversized toy soldiers with mechanical limbs and blank, expressionless faces.
In a swift, calculated movement, Haruka leaped onto one of the robot soldiers. His Abyss Sabers slashed precisely at the robot's face, creating deep, sparking gashes across its metallic surface. The robot attempted to swat him away, its massive mechanical hand sweeping through the air with tremendous force.
But Haruka was already gone, having retreated with the same lightning-quick agility that defined his fighting style. He landed smoothly several meters away, the Abyss Sabers still gripped firmly in his hands.
Supergirl hovered beside him, a hint of amusement in her voice. "Nice of you to join the party," she quipped.
Haruka, his shark-like helmet gleaming, responded with equal wit, "Thought you might need some backup."
Haruka and Kara moved in perfect synchronization, attacking the massive robots with everything they had. Abyssodon soared through the air, its mechanical shark-like form diving and weaving between the towering mechanical enemies. The Mirror Monster unleashed a barrage of machine gun fire, targeting the robots' joints and creating sparking explosions.
Supergirl punched through one robot's chest, her fist creating a massive crater. But the machine simply sparked and continued moving, its damaged systems still functional. Haruka, as Kamen Rider Abyss, slashed with his Abyss Sabers, cutting deep gashes into the robot's metallic skin.
"These things are tough!" Kara shouted, dodging a massive mechanical arm that crashed down where she had just been standing.
Haruka gritted his teeth. Abyssodon flew overhead, firing continuous energy blasts, but the robots seemed to absorb the damage. The city streets cracked and crumbled around them. Buildings trembled with each robotic step, glass shattering and debris raining down.
Just as it seemed they might be overwhelmed, a series of explosive Batarangs struck one robot's eye. The mechanical orb erupted in a shower of sparks and circuitry, rendering the robot momentarily blind.
Haruka and Kara spun around to see Robin perched dramatically on a nearby rooftop. His cape billowed dramatically in the wind.
"Aim for the eyes and joints!" Robin called down, his voice sharp and commanding. "Those are their weak points!"
Haruka felt a wave of relief wash over him. Kara, however, looked surprised. "Robin? What is he doing here in National City?"
The robots continued their rampage, waiting for the heroes to make their next move.
Haruka and Kara exchanged a quick glance, their strategy instantly synchronized. Robin's advice rang clear - target the eyes and joints.
Kamen Rider Abyss transformed his Abyss Sabers, their blades now crackling with electrical energy. Supergirl's eyes glowed bright blue, preparing her heat vision. Robin's hand was already a blur, launching precision-targeted Batarangs at the robots' mechanical joints.
The first robot stumbled as Robin's Batarang struck its knee joint, creating a shower of sparks. Haruka seized the moment, leaping high and driving his electrified saber directly into the robot's eye socket. The mechanical orb exploded in a burst of electrical discharge, rendering the robot momentarily blind.
"Nice shot!" Kara shouted, diving low and using her heat vision to slice through another robot's ankle joint. The massive machine wobbled, its balance completely compromised.
Robin landed between Haruka and Kara, his movements quick and calculated. "Keep targeting their weak points!" he called out, throwing a series of small explosive devices that attached themselves to the robots' connection points.
Haruka's Abyssodon - the mechanical shark-like creature - swooped overhead, firing precise energy blasts that further destabilized the robots' structural integrity. Each hit was surgical, designed to maximize damage at the most vulnerable points.
The robots fought back, their massive mechanical arms sweeping through the air in wide, destructive arcs. But the heroes were too quick, too coordinated. They dodged, struck, and retreated in a dance of combat that left the robots struggling to keep up.
As the battle raged on, Haruka's enhanced senses caught a glimpse of movement beneath a crumbling building. His peripheral vision locked onto a group of civilians trapped under the massive mechanical arm of a fallen robot. The arm had crashed through the building's facade, sending concrete and glass raining down on the terrified people below.
In that split second, everything else disappeared for Haruka. The ongoing battle with Robin and Supergirl faded into background noise. His Kamen Rider instincts kicked in, focusing solely on the trapped civilians.
"I've got civilians!" Haruka shouted, breaking from the main battle. His Abyss Sabers extended, their metallic blades glinting in the chaotic light of the robot battle. With precise, powerful strikes, he began slashing through the massive concrete chunks and twisted metal debris.
Each swing of his saber was calculated and deliberate. Concrete split, rebar bent, and wooden beams crumbled under the force of his blade. Haruka worked quickly, creating a path to reach the trapped people. Dust billowed around him, obscuring his vision momentarily, but he continued cutting through the debris with unwavering determination.
"Everyone stay calm!" he called out, his voice cutting through the panic. "I'm getting you out!"
The civilians huddled together, some injured, some in shock, but all watching as the mysterious armored hero worked to free them from certain death.
Haruka's heart raced as he worked frantically to clear the debris. His Abyss Sabers sliced through concrete and twisted metal, creating a path for the trapped civilians. One by one, he helped them escape, guiding them away from the dangerous robot battle zone.
A mother clutching a crying baby caught his attention. She was running, her movements desperate and uncoordinated. Suddenly, Haruka saw a massive robot arm detach and begin to fall directly towards her.
"No!" he shouted, knowing he was too far away to reach them in time.
The robot arm plummeted, promising certain destruction. Haruka watched in horror, certain the mother and child would be crushed. The arm crashed down with a thunderous impact that seemed to shake the ground.
Haruka stood frozen, overwhelmed by shock and gut-wrenching regret. But then - impossibly - he heard the baby's cry continuing. Confusion swept through him.
A figure materialized seemingly out of nowhere. She was green-skinned, with long red hair and glowing white eyes. Her form seemed to shimmer and shift, like something between solid and transparent. She wore a black and red costume that hugged her athletic frame, with a distinctive red symbol on her chest.
The green-skinned woman had phased the mother and baby through the falling debris, rendering them completely unharmed. She set them gently on the ground, her movements fluid and graceful.
Haruka stared, stunned. "Who... who are you?" he managed to ask.
The mysterious green woman turned, her white eyes meeting his. A hint of a smile played on her lips. "I'm M'gann M'orzz," she said. "But you can call me Miss Martian."
