Because Long Teng was going to undertake a rescue mission tonight, and by then, Du Jieyu would surely suspect him, realizing that Long Teng was using her.

But, there was something Long Teng hadn't anticipated; everything had been going tremendously smoothly. He had successfully exploited Du Jieyu's affection for him to pinpoint the hiding place of Wen Jiaren and her son, while Du Jieyu, basking in the budding joy of love, failed to detect anything amiss.
