"Come on, let's order already," he purred, brushing off the question.
Charles narrowed his eyes, sneering slightly as he fixed Augustine with a hard stare. "Babe... are you seriously ignoring my question right now?"
"Come on, pookie... you really don't have to ask me something like that," Augustine replied with a nonchalant shrug. "Besides, let's talk—maybe over dinner?" he added, his voice laced with charm.
Charles sighed. He wanted to press on with the matter, but decided to honor Augustine Wales' request—for now.
He reached for the menu resting on the table and stared at it for a brief moment.
"Babe, what do you think is the best thing to order?" Charles asked, tilting his brows upward as he looked away from the menu and locked eyes with Augustine.
