Chapter 599 - Chapter 599

Hui never expected that because of him, the Wandenreich would form an alliance with Hueco Mundo, putting Yhwach and Aizen, two major bosses, in the same camp.

However, it wasn't long before Hui learned of this.

After previously using Lille to discover the Wandenreich's base, Hui had constantly infiltrated them using his shadow clone, gathering intelligence.

Sometimes he would even personally go to listen to the thoughts of those Quincy.

Therefore, the Wandenreich's secrets were no longer secrets to Hui. He clearly knew everything about the Wandenreich.

Except for Yhwach.

Since Hui didn't yet know that Yhwach's abilities were ineffective against him, he had no plans to actively meet Yhwach now.

However, Hui would likely learn this information soon.

The reason was simple: although he hadn't actively listened to Yhwach's thoughts, Hui occasionally listened to Jugram Haschwalth's thoughts, and Haschwalth knew too many of Yhwach's affairs.

In his villa in Karakura Town, Hui was lying on a lounge chair reading a book, while in the courtyard below, Yoruichi was sparring with Ichigo Kurosaki.

Since he wanted to develop Ichigo, actual combat was absolutely essential.

And for combat practice, Yoruichi's Shunpo was a resource too valuable not to use.

So after Yoruichi returned to Hui's villa, she became Ichigo's training partner.

After a sparring session ended, Yoruichi looked at Ichigo across from her, who breathing heavily and looking somewhat disheveled. but she didn't underestimate him at all.

Because during this time, she had personally witnessed Ichigo's growth, from a weakling she could easily defeat to someone who could now last this long against her. His progress was truly remarkable.

Yoruichi even had a feeling that before long, Ichigo would reach her current level.

This was incredible, because her current strength was the result of accumulating training over an extremely long time, hundreds of years.

But Ichigo, how long had he been training? Not even a year had passed since he went from an ordinary human to possessing such powerful strength.

This kind of talent was somewhat spine-chilling.

"Not bad, young man. You're lasting longer and longer," Yoruichi encouraged him.

Faced with Ichigo's incredibly rapid progress, she really couldn't find any reason to criticize him.

"He still has a long way to go. This is nothing."

A somewhat lazy voice came through. Yoruichi looked over to see Hui stretching and loosening his body.

"Hmph!"

Yoruichi snorted coldly. If anyone else had said those words, she might have argued.

But since it was Hui who said them, this mysteriously powerful and unsolvable person, she had nothing to say.

Of course, the reason Yoruichi snorted was entirely because she'd been dragged by Hui to serve as Ichigo's training partner.

Hui didn't mind.

After all, even if Yoruichi was annoyed, she could only endure it around him.

"Ichigo your strength has improved considerably compared to before. However, your combat experience is still far too limited.

"I'm not talking about sparring with Yoruichi like this, but real battles. Life-or-death struggles.

"So next, I'll send you to Hueco Mundo. There, you'll need to hone your experience and improve your actual combat skills."

After Hui finished speaking, Ichigo's face showed a bitter expression.

But he quickly adjusted his attitude.

Whether it was the impact of the previous Rukia Kuchiki incident or the truth about his origins, he needed to continuously improve his strength.

Since he had chosen to ask Hui to teach him to become stronger, regardless of what methods Hui used, he could only follow them seriously.

"I see you have the right mindset. If that's the case, we'll depart tomorrow. Today, go home and say goodbye to your family properly. This trip to Hueco Mundo will take quite some time."

Hui said to Ichigo.

"Yes!"

Upon hearing this, Ichigo bowed respectfully to Hui before leaving.

Although his background was complex and unusual, family would always be family in Ichigo's heart, and that would never change.

After Ichigo left, Hui looked at the sulking Yoruichi, went to the tea table, sat down, and prepared a cup of spiritual tea for her. As he handed it to her, he spoke.

"You're quite leisurely for the head of the Shihōin clan."

Hearing this, Yoruichi rolled her eyes but still accepted the tea from Hui.

Although this bastard often said irritating things that were hard to listen to, she had to admit that his tea was truly excellent!

"I think a certain someone is the one who's been idle all day!"

After finishing her tea, Yoruichi retorted.

Faced with Yoruichi's criticism, Hui merely shrugged, showing no concern.

"It's just too boring. I simply want an enjoyable battle, but there seems to be no one who can give me such a fight, or the ones that can haven't developed enough yet.

"So what can I do? Besides reading books and drinking tea, I can't find anything else to do."

Hui said, giving the same reason he'd always provided, this time no different.

However, Yoruichi looked completely serious.

She gazed at Hui, her eyes directly meeting his.

Seeing this, Hui also looked at Yoruichi, his gaze unwavering.

The two stared at each other like this for a long while, until Yoruichi finally couldn't persist.

Although she constantly criticized Hui, she had to admit that his personal charm was simply too powerful.

If she continued staring at Hui, Yoruichi felt her thoughts might start wandering.

"Let's talk about serious matters. What is your real purpose? Don't give me that nonsense about wanting enjoyable fights.

"If that were truly your only reason, you should have appeared much earlier, or waited until after Aizen completely merged with the Hōgyoku, rather than suddenly appearing in Soul Society on that day."

Yoruichi spoke up, refusing to believe Hui's previous explanation.

Hearing this, Hui's eyebrow twitched.

He looked at Yoruichi, revealing a playful smile.

"Didn't you betray Soul Society? Why are you suddenly asking about this?"

"I did not betray them!"

Yoruichi immediately objected.

Then she continued: "Don't change the subject. You have so many mysteries about you, of course I want to understand!"

Hearing this, Hui's smile didn't diminish.

Looking at Yoruichi, he deliberately joked: "When a woman actively tries to understand a man, that's when the real trouble begins. Yoruichi, could it be that you like me?"
