But the thought felt… awkward.
This was Rynne's gain.
Asking something like that now felt inappropriate.
So Michael kept quiet.
He did not voice it.
Of course, if it was something he really needed, these thoughts would likely not exist.
It seemed, however, that Rynne herself had been lost in thought as well.
After finishing the preliminary sealing, she secured the core into her storage space carefully before turning back to him.
"…Michael," she said.
He looked at her.
"Thank you," she said sincerely. "For your assistance."
She paused briefly before continuing.
"To be honest, in this ruin… I'm still the one who benefited the most."
Michael said nothing, but he did not deny it either.
Without him, suppressing the corrupted breathing metal alone would have been far more difficult, perhaps even impossible in her current state.
Rynne drew a breath before adding,
"If there's anything you want, just say it. As long as it's within my power, I'll do it."
