It didn't take long for Michael to arrive at the closest stop to his destination, and as the car slowed to a seamless halt, the tinted doors slid open with a soft hiss.
Michael stepped out, the fresh city air washing over him.
Usually, the more technologically advanced a place was, the more polluted it tended to be.
At least, on earth, that was partly the case.
But here, it was the complete opposite. The air felt clean, crisp, even lighter than what he was used to.
Michael's gaze drifted upward, following the faint hum of wind as it passed through a line of sleek, vertical pillars embedded along the sidewalks. It didn't take him long to realize their purpose — air purifiers.
"If I can, I should bring Aunt Mia and Lily here," Michael thought, a faint smile tugging at his lips. "As for relocating… putting everything else aside, a single piece of land here should be worth more than me."
