About a week later, there was a new student in my class, same one as Chris. She walks in, and right from there I could tell she was a pick me. I roll my eyes "this is going to be fun" I complain. She sits right next to Chris, who was sitting right next to me, and she wraps around his arm. I immediately feel a pang of jealousy. Chris looks extremely annoyed, and chuckle softly at his discomfort. He glares "what are you laughing at?!?! get this girl off me pleasee" he whines. I decide to help him, I bend in my seat to look at her, "hey you, get off" I say sternly. She gives me a dirty look and says "What are you his girlfriend or something??". Chris's cheeks go pink and so do mine. in this moment I have no idea what to say, so I blurt out "Yes! we're dating". Chris's eyes widen slightly. My stomach does a turn.. oh no.. he's definitely going to think I'm weird.. fuckkkkk. I awkwardly look up at him hoping he didn't hear.. ugh I'm so stupid.. of course he heard! Instead of thinking I'm weird he grabs my waist and pulls me closer. "Yea, this is my girlfriend, leave." he says. my heart races faster than ever, butterflys race in my stomach. She backs off annoyed. We continued class, but I COULD NOT FOCUS! It looked like he couldn't either. After class he slides me a note with his number on it. I put it in my phone and leave for home.
