Looking at the panel and going through all the notifications, Mikael was very happy.

His personal net worth had only been 500 Million Draks in the morning, but now, with 900 Million in cash and a Mansion worth 120 Million, his total net worth amounted to 1.52 Billion Draks.

Being rich was awesome, and being richer was even better.

He was delighted with the Special Skill he had received, which was going to prove very helpful in his plans.

"Start the Roulette," he expectantly commanded the System, hoping he would receive some good Skill Mastery, preferably related to combat. As he heard the ticking sound, which started slowing down, making the columns blink with light, his heart raced.

Finally, he heard a ding in his mind and soon received a System Notification.

{Congratulations Host, you have received the Skill Mastery, Music Mastery. All Skills related to Music have been upgraded to Expert Level, and all missing Skills will soon be engraved in the Host's mind and body.}

As soon as he heard the notification, a piercing pain hit his mind. He grabbed his head and screamed as streams of information flooded through him, and his muscles developed new memories.

Mikael tried his best to hold back the screams, but he had no idea that Raeya, who was inside the dressing room at that moment, heard him.

She debated for a long time whether to check on him and eventually opened the door.

Her heart nearly stopped when she saw him sweating and bearing a pain she could not even imagine. Subconsciously, she walked towards him.

However, she soon saw him calm down a little and stopped by his bedside, waiting for him to open his eyes.

He seemed lost and still in pain, but he was recovering. Except for the trembling and the way he was panting, his body was slowly relaxing.

His blueish-grey eyes opened and met her green eyes, widening in surprise.

"Rae..."

Before he could say anything to her, she turned around and left the room.

Mikael watched her leave, and his heart ached a little, but then he just sighed and closed his eyes again, going through the knowledge he had just acquired.

Quite tempted to pick up some random musical instrument, he decided to control himself and rest.

He was tired, very tired, and sleep soon pulled him into its arms.

In the other room, Klara watched her sister sitting at the study table, seemingly lost, and after staying quiet for nearly an hour, she could not help herself and spoke.

"You went to his room."

Raeya frowned at her words, then glanced at her, meeting her eyes.

"Yes."

"Why?"

"I heard him screaming in pain and wanted to see what was going on."

"He was screaming in pain? What happened?"

"I don't know, but it looked like a migraine attack."

"And?" She raised her brow, wanting to know what she did.

"Nothing. I came back," Raeya said and turned her eyes away, losing herself to thought.

Klara kept looking at her for a while, then stood up and walked towards her.

As soon as she wrapped her arms around her from behind, Raeya's body trembled, and despite herself, another tear escaped her eyes.

"What do you want to do?" the younger twin gently asked.

"I want to kill him!" she said, but then cried some more.

"You still love him, Rae."

"Shut up."

Klara did not push the matter and sighed in her heart, then smiled a little.

"Do you know that Grandpa arranged a betrothal for me before I was even born?"

The sudden question froze her sister, who raised her head and looked at her in shock.

"What?"

"Yes." She ruefully smiled. "I overheard him speaking on the phone a week ago, and my fiancé is supposed to be coming to the city in the next few days. Grandpa intends to honour his promise."

"Why did you not tell me?!"

Klara sadly lowered her head, and then the two sisters remained silent for a long while.

"He's going to harm or kill Mikael," Raeya narrowed her eyes, aware of how decisive her grandfather could be. "We cannot get a divorce. I know him, he will never let us go." She gritted her teeth, angry at the clauses in the Prenuptial Agreement.

They had been forced to give up their rights to seek a divorce, and even if the matter was pushed and taken to court, they could not file for it within the next year. It might even take longer, as Mikael would fight back.

"Do you know who your fiancé is?"

"I don't have a fiancé anymore. I am married," Klara said meaningfully, and her sister froze at those words. "And no, I don't know anything about my former fiancé."

"You plan to use Mikael as a shield."

"I don't plan on using him. He himself became my shield."

Seeing her sister dangerously narrow her eyes, Klara smiled a little.

"You still love him and cannot tolerate the idea of sharing him, not even with me."

"Don't talk nonsense with me. I hate that man."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"Okay then, don't tell Master and Senior Sisters about what happened. Let me keep this marriage. Let him remain as my shield. Please." She requested, and Raeya gave her a cold glare before she walked past her and went to bed. "Please?"

"Sleep," she said, and then pulled the comforter over herself and closed her eyes.

In the morning, when they both woke and got dressed, they arrived downstairs and were greeted by Aunt Lu, who was Mikael's nanny.

Two women in black suits, who were sitting in the lounge, stood up as well and respectfully greeted them with a bow.

They looked to be in their late thirties and were quite muscular, and thankfully, they were not among the guards who had kidnapped them yesterday.

"Where are our phones?" Raeya coldly asked the old nanny, who flinched under her eyes.

"Master left them at the dining table. Please sit, I will serve breakfast," she said, and then her eyes widened as she remembered something. "Oh, yes. Master asked me to tell you not to switch them on before eating your breakfast."

"Hmph!" Raeya did not listen, and as soon as she arrived at the dining table, she picked up her phone and switched it on.

However, not even a minute had passed before she regretted it.

Dozens of missed calls from her mother, father, and brother, and then a few from her grandfather.

She did not dare open the messages, slumped in her seat, and grabbed her head.

Last night, she had only been thinking about Mikael and how to get back at him for what he did to them, but now she realised that the bigger headache was dealing with her family.

How was she going to explain things to them?

Should she tell them the truth?

Subconsciously, she looked at her sister, who had just taken her seat adjacent to her, and remembered her words from last night.

Raeya flinched when her phone suddenly started ringing, but when she looked at the caller ID, she relaxed a little.

"Good morning, Mama!" she cheerfully greeted her mother, and as expected, there was a stunned silence on the other end after hearing her voice. "Mama?"

"Raeya, where are you?" her mother asked with a trembling voice, and even though she knew that the phone was on speaker, she treated it as if only her mother were listening.

"I am at Mikael's place." She giggled a little, emanating happiness through her voice, and Klara was impressed by her acting skills. "There's something Klara and I have been waiting to tell you about, so don't go to the office today. We will leave for home as soon as we finish breakfast."

There was silence on the other end, but she could hear her mother taking deep breaths.

"Are you... okay?"

"Of course! Why?" She feigned some ignorance.

"Mikael?"

"He went out early as he had to deal with some important matters. Okay, I will call you back in a few minutes, I really need to eat."

"Wait!"

"Yes?"

"Where's Klara?" her mother nervously asked.

"She's here..." she said and then offered the phone to her sister. "Talk to Mama, I want to eat."

Klara nervously accepted the phone and took a deep breath before greeting her mother.

"Good morning, Mama."

"Be honest with your mother, child. Is everything okay?"

"Yes, Mama. Did you learn about our..." She sighed and stopped. "We will come home and explain things to you. Don't worry. We are fine, and we are happy."

"Klara..."

"Yes, Mama?"

"Come back soon." She was nearly on the verge of crying, and it almost broke their hearts.

"Okay. We are heading back right away," she promised as she ended the call, then nervously looked at her sister, who was busy eating her meal. "How are we going to explain..."

"Mother and Father will understand. Uncle will take our side, but not Grandpa. We are likely going to get expelled from the family. So, be prepared for it," Raeya spoke as if it was not anything big, and Klara sighed at the stark contrast in her personality from yesterday.

Who was the nervous one now?

When they arrived outside, they found Marla and Sarah waiting for them next to a Maybach, and there was a black SUV behind the car, inside which some gifts were placed.

Upon a closer look, the backseats were filled with gifts as well.

"Master arranged for them, but he instructed us to follow your call regarding them," Marla, who was taller than her colleague, told them, and the twins looked into each other's eyes and sighed in their hearts.

"We will take them to the Albonn Manor," Klara told her new bodyguard, who immediately informed the driver in the SUV to follow them.

And just like that, the two vehicles left the Villa.
