Snowpoint Temple was located in the alabaster icelands of the Hisui region.

It marked the northernmost point of the Sinnoh region.

Covered in heavy snow year-round, the constant snowfall from Mount Coronet kept the temperature perpetually frigid.

Compared to the Snowpoint City area in the future, the current alabaster icelands were even colder. But the colder it became, the more Ice-type Pokémon thrived here.

During the journey, Chris had witnessed Glaceon, Mamoswine, and other rare Pokémon appearing in groups more than once.

"It would be nice if the Hisui region stayed this pristine," Chris murmured.

"How much longer until we arrive?" Akari asked, her voice trembling.

Chris glanced back at Akari. She was clinging to Lugia's back on all fours, shivering and not daring to lift her head.

This seemed odd—Akari shouldn't be afraid of heights. After all, people in this era primarily used Braviary as their flying transportation.

Moreover, they were currently on Lugia's back, protected by a barrier created by Gardevoir. They didn't need to worry about wind and snow, nor did they risk falling. It was perfectly stable!

Akari's thoughts: Do you think I'm afraid of falling? I'm terrified of this Pokémon carrying me!

If I remember correctly, the creature flying me right now is the corrupted Guardian of the Seas—the legendary Lugia!

"We'll be there soon."

Chris looked ahead and could already pinpoint Snowpoint Temple's location.

Between the icy mountains stood human-made structures and bright fires.

The Diamond and Pearl Clans were stationed near Snowpoint Temple. Finding them meant finding the temple itself.

"Lugia, descend!"

"Woooo!" Lugia roared, its dark body suddenly accelerating downward in a dive, piercing through the wildly swirling snow.

"Ahhhhhhh!"

The descent was accompanied by Akari's high-pitched scream.

This time, it was definitely fear of heights.

It's too fast!

A few minutes later, before all the members of the Diamond and Pearl Clans, Chris and Akari slowly descended from the sky.

"Who are you?" A green-haired young woman and a shirtless blue-haired young man asked in unison, both looking wary.

Behind them, members of the Diamond and Pearl Clans—who usually didn't get along—were now united, holding Poké Balls and ready to battle at any moment.

"We're from Galaxy Team. We were invited by Diamond Clan Captain Iscan and Pearl Clan Captain Palina to explore Snowpoint Temple together," Chris explained, gesturing toward Akari.

Akari was still somewhat shaken, but noticing Chris's glance, she quickly retrieved Galaxy Team's identification card from her backpack and presented it.

"I'm Akari from Galaxy Team, and this is Chris, also from Galaxy Team."

Upon hearing they were the Galaxy Team members the captains had invited, the green-haired young woman and shirtless blue-haired young man lowered their guard.

They knew the captains had left Snowpoint Temple to visit Jubilife Village and request Galaxy Team's assistance with the temple exploration.

After examining Akari's Galaxy Team identification, the two became completely at ease.

"Hello, I'm Sabi, warden of the Diamond Clan," the green-haired young woman introduced herself.

The blue-haired young man quickly followed suit. "Gaeric, warden of the Pearl Clan."

Chris nodded slightly. He'd encountered these two NPCs in the game. There was nothing particularly special about them—they were essentially NPCs for Noble Pokémon battles. He hadn't taken time to understand them deeply, so he decided to get straight to the point.

"Could you please brief us on the current exploration status of Snowpoint Temple?"

Sabi and Gaeric exchanged glances, and finally Sabi stepped forward. "Let me explain."

With that, she turned and led Chris and Akari toward Snowpoint Temple's interior.

"We've been exploring Snowpoint Temple for quite some time. We've preliminarily determined the internal structure—six floors above ground and three floors below."

"The path to the underground levels is blocked by a special door that requires three unique stones to open."

"We currently have theories about where these three stones are located. They should be somewhere among the six above-ground floors. We've already found one—it's at the end of the passage from the second to the third floor. However, an extremely powerful Pokémon guards it. Our current progress is stuck at this point," Sabi explained as they walked.

The situation and progress matched what Iscan and Palina had described.

However, this method of progression differed from the game plot Chris remembered.

In the game, you simply opened doors in sequence, and there were three plates embedded in the doors.

That's right—how could the Arceus Plates be so casually embedded in doors?

"Take me to see that Pokémon," Chris requested.

"All right..." Sabi hesitated momentarily but eventually agreed.

Led by Sabi, Chris and Akari followed her to Snowpoint Temple's second floor.

Like the first level, all Pokémon and hazards on this floor had been cleared. Evidence of recent battles could still be seen everywhere—there must have been intense fighting here previously.

Continuing forward, they soon reached the stairway leading from the second to the third floor.

Just below the stairs stood a stone platform with an earth-yellow rocky sphere resting upon it. Directly in front of the platform, a rock giant composed of tan and gray boulders stood motionless. Seven orange dots on its head formed an "H" pattern.

Above its head floated text displaying its level.

Regirock LV80.

As expected—it was indeed one of the legendary titans!

The level wasn't particularly high, though.

An LV80 Regirock that Iscan and Palina together couldn't defeat, yet they'd managed to escape from it.

Chris had essentially gauged their strength—probably somewhere between level 65 and level 70.

However, an LV80 Regirock wasn't difficult for Chris.

"Garchomp!" Chris casually tossed a Poké Ball.

"ROAR!" Garchomp appeared ferociously, its body glowing with rainbow light as it Mega Evolved into Mega Garchomp.

Its two massive scythes vibrated as it leaned forward and flew toward Regirock.

Sabi's eyes widened in alarm. She'd only brought Chris here to observe, not expecting him to attack directly.

She quickly tried to stop him. "Wait! Don't attack yet—this Pokémon is extremely dangerous! We need to wait for the captains to return before launching a coordinated assault!"

"It's fine. If you think it's dangerous, you can leave first. I'm just testing the waters. If I can't win, I'll retreat," Chris assured Sabi. Although he said he was testing, his intention was clear—if the test went well, he'd win the battle outright. Sabi had no objection to that approach.
