Jubilife Village was a quaint little settlement nestled in the Hisui wilderness.

Although wooden houses dominated the village's architecture, it was hard to imagine that incredible brick buildings already existed in this era—two thousand years removed from modern society.

Especially impressive was the structure at the center of town: a small, college-style three-story building that stood prominently above everything else. This brick house was constructed from red bricks, each one tightly fitted and expertly polished.

Even though this was supposed to be part of a game world, Chris still couldn't help but notice the architectural inconsistency.

"There are such exquisite brick buildings in this ancient era, yet in two thousand years, the architectural technology of the Pokemon world hasn't advanced at all?" he muttered to himself.

Considering that the Pokemon world had already possessed "space compression" technology capable of shrinking Pokemon into Poke Balls two thousand years ago, Chris decided to swallow any further complaints.

Guided by Akari, Chris soon walked into Jubilife Village under the curious gazes of the two guards stationed at the entrance.

Walking through the streets of Jubilife Village, most of the passing merchants and villagers were local residents. Besides greeting Akari warmly, they also observed Chris with obvious curiosity.

After all, Chris's modern clothing could only be described as "unconventional" in a village from two thousand years in the past. Even the traveling merchants from the Ginkgo Guild who regularly visited the village to conduct business weren't dressed as strangely as Chris.

Before long, Chris and Akari arrived at the center of Jubilife Village, approaching the building that Chris had thought impossible to exist in this era.

This was the Galaxy Team headquarters.

"Please wait in the lobby on the first floor. I'll go report your arrival to our captain," Akari said, leading Chris into the Galaxy Team headquarters. After a brief greeting, she hurried upstairs.

Since no one was assigned to supervise him, Chris simply wandered around on his own.

The walls were whitewashed and clean, paintings hung elegantly in the corridors, and red carpets were laid across the polished floors. Chris felt as though he'd traveled back to the 1970s or 1980s rather than two thousand years into the past.

Passing by one room, he noticed a Chansey providing medical treatment to an injured Psyduck and Luxray.

Further down the hall, there was a small laboratory. Inside, Chris spotted a man with a round face and dark complexion wearing a white researcher's uniform and a distinctive blue cap. The researcher was muttering to himself about something.

"It's said that the violent and aggressive Kleavor used to calm down as long as it ate two of its favorite foods," the researcher mused aloud.

"Is it the aroma produced by combining these two ingredients that it enjoys, or perhaps specific nutrients they provide together?"

Chris wasn't particularly interested in what the researcher was saying, but a certain item in the research room caught his attention so completely that his feet seemed rooted to the ground. He couldn't take another step forward.

A pink stone tablet lay casually on the table.

"Whoa!" Chris swallowed hard and silently retrieved his treasure detector from his bag.

"Buzz!" The treasure detector immediately locked onto the pink tablet.

Chris's eyes lit up with excitement, his gaze focusing on the stone tablet like a Snipe Shot attack finding its target.

He quickly strode over to the pink stone tablet, picked it up carefully, and examined it closely.

The tablet's properties were immediately displayed through his handheld device.

Pixie Plate: One of the Creation Plates. The holder becomes immune to Fairy-type moves and can absorb Fairy-type energy. Fairy-type move power is increased by 500%.

"I knew it!" Chris exclaimed, his face showing pure disbelief.

After searching all over the modern world, he'd been fortunate enough to obtain a Spooky Plate that symbolized Ghost-type energy. He never expected to stumble upon another Creation Plate just by traveling two thousand years into the past!

And this plate was just sitting casually on a table like it was nothing special?!

Chris felt a strong sense of unreality wash over him.

However, this discovery reminded Chris of the main storyline in the game "Pokemon Legends: Arceus"—collecting various elemental plates to eventually summon Arceus itself.

Although he couldn't actually trigger the main storyline quest, if he could acquire several plates here and bring them back to his own time, wouldn't he become virtually invincible?!

"Hello there, who are you? May I help you with something?" Chris's excited voice had finally alerted the round-faced researcher, who looked at Chris with puzzled curiosity.

"Uh, hello! I'm a traveler from another continent. My name is Chris," Chris quickly introduced himself. "Akari brought me here. She said she needed to report to the captain, so she asked me to wait on the first floor."

"I was just looking around when I noticed this stone tablet. I got a bit curious, so I came in to take a closer look."

Obtaining this Pixie Plate wouldn't be difficult at all. Chris wasn't being conceited—the entire population of Jubilife Village combined wouldn't be able to stop him if he really wanted to take it.

So there was no need to rush and simply grab the Pixie Plate by force.

"Hello, my name is Laventon. I'm a Pokemon Professor—a researcher dedicated to various studies that help us understand Pokemon more deeply," the round-faced researcher introduced himself before asking eagerly.

"Have you conducted any research on these tablets yourself?"

"I've done some research. These tablets should contain information about the Great Sinnoh," Chris replied carefully.

"Great Sinnoh" was the reverent name given to Arceus in the Hisui Region.

However, not everyone agreed on what "Sinnoh" actually referred to. The Diamond Clan believed that Sinnoh was Dialga, the master of time, while the Pearl Clan insisted that Sinnoh was Palkia, the master of space. Each clan held firmly to its own interpretation.

Laventon's interest was immediately piqued, and he moved closer excitedly.

"Really? You can actually read the writing inscribed on these stone tablets?!"

"Not exactly," Chris clarified. "I also possess a plate myself, and a friend of mine once studied it extensively, so I learned some things about them." Chris retrieved the Spooky Plate from his bag.

When Professor Laventon saw the Spooky Plate, his eyes suddenly sparkled with scientific enthusiasm.

His research on the plates had hit a frustrating bottleneck recently. The shape of the tablet Chris had produced and the mysterious writing engraved upon it appeared to be the exact same type of artifact as the plate sitting on his desk.

If he could study this stone tablet alongside his own, he would definitely make new discoveries. Perhaps he could even take his research one step further and finally decipher the ancient text on both tablets!

"Then perhaps..." Professor Laventon began to speak, but he was interrupted by Akari's voice calling from outside the laboratory door.

"Chris, where are you?"

"I'm in here," Chris replied, turning to walk out.

Akari stood near the staircase, looking for him. "I've already reported to the captain. The captain would like to meet with you."

"Alright, I'll come right away," Chris agreed, turning back to bid farewell to Professor Laventon.

"Well, Professor, let's continue this conversation when we have more time later. I'll probably be staying in Jubilife Village for several more days."

With that said, he carefully returned the Spooky Plate to his backpack and left the research room under Professor Laventon's noticeably reluctant gaze.
