"Defeated Ursaring LV70. Blaziken gained 7,122 experience points."

"Among the scattered items, you found the training jacket."

"Defeated Crustle LV70. Hariyama gained 7,779 experience points."

"Among the scattered items, you found the training shirt."

"Defeated Lycanroc LV70. Greninja gained 7,341 experience points."

"Among the scattered items, you found the training pants."

It had been two hours since Chris found all three stolen training uniforms and returned to the dojo.

During his exploration around the Isle of Armor, Chris's first impression was how incredibly high the Pokemon levels were in this area!

These weren't Trainer-owned Pokemon, but wild Pokemon roaming freely!

None of the wild Pokemon he encountered had levels lower than 60, and many of them were above level 70. Chris had even spotted a massive Wailord at level 80 swimming far off the coast!

Pokemon of such strength would require a professional Trainer's expertise in other regions, yet here they were simply part of the natural ecosystem.

It must be that Master Mustard had been managing this island for many years, and through countless battles, the Pokemon population here had naturally grown stronger over time.

Setting aside everything else, even if he only came here to train and level up his team, it would be an excellent choice for any serious trainer.

This place would also be perfect for shiny hunting. Once shiny Pokemon appeared here, they would all be powerful enough to use immediately in competitive battles.

Chris put on the complete training uniform and returned to the entrance of the martial arts dojo.

Inside the dojo courtyard, Master Mustard was holding a small teapot in one hand while keeping his other hand behind his back, slowly patrolling the training grounds. When he spotted Chris approaching, he stepped forward to take a closer look.

"Master Mustard: Perfect! That's definitely my uniform, and it looks very sharp on you!"

"Master Mustard: Now go find the senior disciple. He'll explain what you need to do next."

[Master Mustard Dojo reputation unlocked. Current reputation: Ordinary Disciple (0/1000)]

That was it?

This was the end of the first trial?

Chris had expected something more substantial as a reward. He remembered that after completing the first part of Master Mustard's trials in the games, players were typically rewarded with a choice between Bulbasaur and Squirtle.

Obviously, the storyline had been modified. While the trial itself remained the same, the rewards had changed significantly.

Would he still be able to obtain Kubfu after completing all three trials?

Chris walked into the martial arts dojo to find the senior disciple.

He found a muscular man wearing a yellow and black training uniform, carefully recording something with pen and paper in his hands.

Chris approached to speak with him.

"Senior Disciple: Recently, the Isle of Armor hasn't been peaceful. Dynamax Pokemon have been losing control and going berserk in many locations around the island. It would be tremendously helpful if some of our disciples could assist in dealing with these situations."

Several options then appeared on Chris's screen.

[View Reputation Shop]

[Apply for Promotion Assessment]

[Reputation Quest: Subdue the Pokemon driven mad by Dynamax energy]

Reputation quests and a reputation shop!

Chris raised his eyebrows with interest and quickly clicked into the reputation shop to see what valuable items could be exchanged there.

[Master Mustard Dojo Reputation Shop]

Ordinary Disciple

Training Uniform (1,000 Watts) Exp. Charm (30,000 Watts) Armorite Ore (100,000 Watts)

Core Disciple

Max Soup Recipe (100,000 Watts) Wishing Star Fragment (1,000,000 Watts, limited to 10 purchases per month) Ability Patch (1,000,000 Watts, limited to 10 purchases per month) Silver Bottle Cap (10,000,000 Watts, limited to 3 purchases per month)

Personal Disciple

Kubfu (limited to one per trainer) Master Mustard's Personal Guidance (limited to one per trainer) Gold Bottle Cap (100,000,000 Watts, limited to 1 purchase per month)

Chris's attention was immediately drawn to the three rewards that could only be obtained by achieving "Personal Disciple" reputation status.

Kubfu!

The pre-evolved form of the legendary Urshifu!

It really was available for exchange!

A gleam of determination suddenly appeared in Chris's eyes.

This Kubfu was something he absolutely had to obtain!

No matter how difficult the reputation quests became, he would complete them all until he reached the required status!

There was no other reason needed—it was a legendary Pokemon!

Besides Kubfu, the other two Personal Disciple rewards were Master Mustard's personal guidance and the Gold Bottle Cap. While Chris thought the guidance might be interesting, the Gold Bottle Cap couldn't be ignored.

He remembered from playing the handheld games that the Gold Bottle Cap's function was to perform "Hyper Training"—essentially maximizing all six Individual Values of a Pokemon to their peak potential.

In other words, if a Pokemon had perfect 6IV stats when fully trained, then a Pokemon that underwent Hyper Training with a Gold Bottle Cap would achieve the same statistical perfection.

Of course, this effect was related to the Pokemon's current level—the higher the level, the more dramatic the improvement.

Chris recalled that NPCs typically only performed Hyper Training on Pokemon that had reached level 100.

With this item, it didn't matter how many perfect IVs your Pokemon originally had. After Hyper Training, its capabilities would be identical to those of a naturally perfect 6IV Pokemon.

The rewards available in the "Core Disciple" category were also quite appealing.

The Max Soup recipe he wanted was listed there.

There were also Wishing Star Fragments, which could be taken to Professor Sonia to craft Dynamax Bands for sale.

The effect of the Ability Patch was something he'd need to research further.

As for the Silver Bottle Cap, he remembered it was a weaker version of the Gold Bottle Cap. While the Gold Bottle Cap maximized all six stats of a Pokemon, the Silver version only improved one specific stat.

Many Pokemon in Chris's current lineup had 5IV or 4IV potential.

Using a Gold Bottle Cap on them would be somewhat wasteful, but the Silver Bottle Cap would be perfect for fine-tuning their remaining imperfect stats.

Regarding the items in the exchange column for ordinary disciples, Chris wanted to examine their details more closely, but was immediately reminded that the currency needed to exchange items was "Watts."

Chris's education hadn't failed him—he immediately recognized this as a unit of "power."

But thinking more carefully about the Pokemon world context, Watts referred to a special currency used in the Wild Area of the Galar Region.

The way to obtain Watts was by investigating "Pokemon Dens" that had energy flowing from them—essentially, the lairs where Dynamax Pokemon resided.

He would need to find and explore Dynamax Pokemon dens himself.

That was manageable—he could locate Dynamax Pokemon dens on his own.

He didn't need to purchase the first two items since Chris already knew their effects.

The Exp. Charm was designed to increase the experience points Pokemon gained from battles, functioning similarly to the Lucky Egg item. He wasn't sure if their effects could stack.

They probably could, since he remembered that the Exp. Charm was stored in the bag as a key item, while the Lucky Egg was held directly by Pokemon during battle!

With it, he could level up his team much more efficiently.

As for the Armorite Ore, Chris remembered that it could be given to Master Mustard's disciples in the dojo as payment for learning new moves and techniques.
