The guard narrowed his eyes at the observer before turning to look at the bleeding man again. "You're just like them, aren't you?" hissed the man, his eyes going wide as he growled at the guard. "You are making fun of me. Do you know who I am?!"
The man's eyes were practically white, and his pupils were so small that they looked like pinpricks. If I looked at him closer, I could see an envy seed burrowing deep into his beating heart before spreading out into every limb like an infection.
Wrinkling my nose, I slowly blinked before turning my attention back to the guard. "I think he has amnesia," I whispered loudly, even as the man continued to scream. "Otherwise, how would he not know who he was?"
The guard absently nodded his head at my words, his eyes never leaving the unstable man in front of him.
