Yoria sat at the edge of her bed, and pulled her knees up, wrapping her arms around herself tightly.
She wasn't certain how much time had passed since she left the room, she only knew that she'd needed time - space to think.
He had told her so many terrible things.
But none of the monstrous acts he had committed against others had phased her.
She had done terrible things as well after all. Who was she to judge?
No. It wasn't that.
It wasn't the things he had done which gave her pause and caused her to shut off their connection, retreating into her room without a word.
It was the reason for which he had done it all.
The boy that he'd met as a child, the young man that he'd loved - and lost. Lost in the worst way imaginable.
He was his reason for everything. Lee Ha-Joon. A dead man.
And how could she compete with death?
