The man sitting next to Mina lifted the glass and asked her to drink.
Mina didn't know what would happen next or if she should drink from that glass. She looked around, undecided.
To Kenji's eyes, it seemed like his fiancée was asking someone else for help.
This made him feel uncomfortable.
Several customers who saw this thought about intervening, but they were stopped by other men who had entered.
Seeing the imposing size of those men, the customers who wanted to help immediately backed off.
Just then, an attractive man passing by saw the scene and approached. He was heard saying a typical phrase:
"Let her go!"
Kenji, upon hearing these words, was immediately stunned.
He couldn't believe that in these times someone would still say something like that. Wasn't he ashamed?
"Are you asking me to let her go, and I do it? Wouldn't I lose my dignity?"
The man put down the liquor glass, stood up, and glared fiercely at Lin Yi.
Without saying a word, Lin Yi raised his hand and slapped him.
Slap!
The sound of the slap was very loud.
This left Kenji, Mina, and the curious onlookers completely shocked.
They couldn't believe that such an audacious young man dared to strike first before the other could react.
"Do you dare to hit me?"
The man from society was stunned for a moment, looked at Lin Yi in disbelief, and repeated: "Do you dare to hit me?"
Lin Yi said nothing, simply raised his hand and slapped him again, this time with even more force.
The slap was so strong that it made the man fall to the ground, also sliding the glass and liquor bottle, which shattered into a thousand pieces.
This left Kenji completely stunned. How could such a large man be knocked down by a guy of normal build?
He was so bewildered that he almost wanted to ask the man: "Are your muscles just for show?"
Not only was Kenji surprised, Lin Yi was also surprised. He also wanted to ask: "Is it really necessary to act so exaggeratedly?"
"Damned! Do you want to die?!"
The man who had been holding Kenji saw the situation and quickly got up to push Lin Yi.
Of course, he didn't use much force nor dared to do so. He feared that if he pushed too hard, his sponsor would fall and lose face. In that case, he might lose the money.
Lin Yi looked at him, thought for a moment, and decided not to follow the script. He simply said one word: "Go!"
"You...?"
The man was stunned, not knowing how to react.
If Lin Yi had slapped him a few times, he might have fallen and, rubbing his face, would have made some threats and then fled in embarrassment.
But now Lin Yi hadn't even hit him, he had just said one word: "Go!"
And how was he supposed to leave convincingly?
It was a very difficult question!
Lin Yi raised an eyebrow and said: "Didn't you hear me? Go!"
"You... you... fine, damn kid! I'll remember you! I don't want to see you again on the street!"
The man, not knowing what else to do, skipped the "being humiliated" process and went straight to making threats.
After saying that, he went to lift his companion and, without looking back, left through the bar's door.
Kenji watched them, still confused. He felt like he might have drunk too much and was dreaming.
Did these two big guys really leave so easily?
This doesn't make sense!
Neither Kenji nor the nearby onlookers could comprehend it.
Everyone was wondering if they had missed some episode.
How could it be that after just two slaps and some threats, those huge and seemingly terrifying guys left so easily?
A customer, who had tried to do the right thing earlier but was stopped by one of the big guys, automatically headed toward the big man, only to realize that the guy had mysteriously disappeared. This left him completely puzzled.
Lin Yi couldn't help but feel a little amused seeing how the actors collaborated in this absurd performance.
He looked at Kenji, who still appeared completely stunned, and said: "This place is very dangerous. If you don't have the ability, don't bring your fiancée here to play. Got it?"
After saying this, Lin Yi turned around and left. As he passed the reception, he took out some bills from his pocket and left them on the counter.
With that money, the bar would have no reason to make a fuss about the damages.
Otherwise, if the police were called, they could trace everything back to them, and in the end, the owner would be the one responsible.
"This... what just happened?"
Kenji was still completely confused by what had happened. He couldn't understand how those two guys had left so easily.
However, it didn't matter if he understood or not.
What mattered was that this had been the spark of it all.
Mina looked at a message on her phone, put it in her purse, and said: "Kenji, let's break up."
"Huh?"
Kenji was stunned, thinking...
Did I hear wrong? "What did you say? Mina!"
"I said, let's break up."
Mina repeated, just as he had wished.
"Why... why?"
Kenji couldn't understand. First, the guys came to cause trouble, but ended with such a ridiculous scene.
Now, suddenly, she was telling him to break up. His mind couldn't process all of this.
"Why? Because you haven't given me security!"
Mina said bluntly: "Just now, they were forcing me to drink! And you? What were you doing?"
They forced you? They just put a glass of liquor in front of you. This... can't be considered coercion, right?
"I... I wanted to help you, but you saw, they controlled me."
Kenji quickly explained, not wanting to lose his fiancée in such a confusing way.
"Yes, I saw. But you don't even have the ability to protect me! How can I trust you?! With you, I have no sense of security!"
Mina, saying this, took off the ring from her finger, dropped it on the table with a thud, and added: "I return the ring! Our engagement is canceled! I don't want to see you anymore!"
After saying this, Mina grabbed her purse and left without looking back.
"..."
Honestly, things happened so quickly that Kenji couldn't process them.
He was there, drinking with his fiancée, then some guys came to cause trouble, and those guys, after being humiliated by a young man with two slaps and some threats, left. And right after that, they left him.
When he realized what was happening, Kenji quickly grabbed his phone and the ring, trying to reach her to clarify things.
However, at that moment, a waiter came out and stopped him: "Sir, you still haven't paid for the drinks."
"Damn it! Why didn't you ask those guys for the money when they left?"
Kenji, a bit annoyed, said.
The waiter grimaced. Those guys were huge, who would dare to stop them? You, on the other hand, are a curious case.
Kenji had no choice but to take out the money and give it to the waiter, then quickly left to look for her.
However, when he stepped outside, he looked around but couldn't find Mina anywhere.
He was even more confused. How was it possible that he lost sight of her in just twenty seconds?
Immediately, he took out his phone and called Mina.
