Everyone immediately ran to the new house and the door opened with a rush and everyone was left frozen...
Rem looked back at the door and Eta, Beta, Epsilon, Delta, Zeta and Eclipse had completely became a statue, after seeing Alpha finally awake and holding Kin on her arms. Tears filled their eyes while Zeta just smiled. Eta, Epsilon, Beta, Eclipse and Delta immediately ran to her and shouted,
"Don't scare us like this!!! It almost killed us! Are you alright, Alpha?!"
Everyone was happy...but Rem wasn't. She looked down with a disappointment from herself.
"It was him him saved you... otherwise we would have to kill you, Alpha." Rem mumbled but no one heard anything. Rem ignored it and she started walking away.
Zero had finally got his job, and he was standing at the reception and Acid was standing next to him.
"Your name is actually familiar... someone I knew had the same name, Zero." Acid but Zero didn't say anything, he was just looking at the gate of the shop.
"I used to call him with respect...he was something, for everyone."
Zero was surprised, he smiled and looked at Acid and asked, "So he was like a hero?"
Acid looked down with a faded smile and nodded his head. "He was a hero...but it breaks my heart that he sacreficed himself."
"Isn't that what a hero will do for people who are close to you, like you?" I asked and Acid was surprised. He just smiled again and replied, "It makes sense...but what about us, he was close to us...but he left us."
Zero wasn't able to understand the emotions of Acid, because he never understood human's emotions anyways. Everytime, he was just fighting to live, he never understood these terms like friendship, love, affection and more. The only thing he knows are just discipline and responsibility and nothing else.
Zero didn't say anything on this and just focused on his new job.
"By the way, why do you wear the mask? Your whole face is covered with the mask? Is there something on your face, any injury or something?" Acid asked and Zero smiled and answered, "My face is alright just it was my previous job. In that I wasn't allowed to recognise and remember my co workers face, so everyone used to wear similar mask like of mine. And the second reason is that... you will forget my face if you saw it. I want to have this job and you will remember me by this identity only, by the other, you will forget me."
Acid was surprised, but he took it as a joke because he couldn't believe in it. He took away his face and just looked ahead.
Zero looked at Acid with curiosity this time and asked, "And why do you wear the mask?"
Acid smiled with a sweat, "...I will look creepy, actually. I look scary behind my mask, my laugh is just creepy...I am afraid of what others will say."
Zero was surprised by the answer, "Who even cares about faces? They will just forget it, they have their own job, why would they need to remember the faces in this busy world?"
Acid started sweating, but explained, "I also believe in it...but there's someone to whom I should not be forgotten by. I don't want her to forget me...I want to marry her so bad, and I don't care about others, but I really care what she will think about me...she will stop coming here at the shop."
"So you love someone?" Zero asked and Acid blushed...but he also started sweating, he was surprised how casually Zero just asked it. Acid put her hand on Zero's shoulder and asked, "...Do you love someone?"
Zero now started thinking..."I don't think so, I never understood what even this love is actually. I just asked you by the English textbook I have studied in school."
Acid started sweating...he realised that he has chosen the wrong one for his help. He looked at Zero and asked, "Is there someone who stays in your mind all the time? You keep on thinking about her, and wish to stay with her for your whole life?"
"I don't have time to think about it." Zero said straight and Acid was shocked, "I just like doing my work whatever I get, and right now I am thinking for a customer to come. I like to do a work, I like taking responsibility...and thinking about a girl...I can't think of any."
Acid was left speechless suddenly Zero and Acid heard a loud laugh. Acid started sweating more and a woman finally showed up at the gate and laughing loudly. Zero bowed down, greeting the customer, and Acid's cheeks behind the mask started turning red.
"You...you are teaching love to a kid who loves his job instead?" The woman kept on laughing, and Acid had started sweating more and decided already to fire Zero.
"Someone in your mind... someone with whom you dream to spend your whole life... you were so romantic, Acid." The woman said while still laughing and Acid couldn't handle anymore and he just hide at a corner sitting and looking down... completely depressed.
But Zero was still on his job was he normally asked, "What do you want ma'am? Any help or something?"
The woman came at the reception, from the corner Acid was staring at him with anger, he had already made his idea to fire him once she leaves.
"Oh, yes." The woman tried to stop her laugh and said, "I wanted something which Acid would know."
Acid stood and he ordered straight, "Go and bring her tea leaves right now."
Zero knew what is a tea leaf so he just started walking to bring tea leaves and Acid came at the reception and the woman looked at him with a smile and asked, "He is also a mask man, your little brother?"
"No, new employee working for me."
The woman tried to hold her giggle and said, "That only...your little brother would be as romantic as you are, but he wasn't."
And Acid just sighed...he can't help about it now.
