Zero continued walking with his group to the assigned spot, looking at the surrounding and everywhere was just darkness, all the lights of the houses were off and just the moonlight was falling on the ground, giving everyone the path and vision.
Zero was looking at the houses and one girl of the three said, "It looks more confusing, before only humans used to turn off the lights at the night by the fear of Parasites and Parasites were fool and they all were eating all the night. Now all the lights are off, even if majority is Parasites only now, here."
They all four nodded their heads.
"Paradites have became smarter."
Another girl said, "I really don't understand why we haven't started the mass murder of the Parasites, we are already capable to eliminate many but till now we have only taken over almost ten Parasites and the Head doesn't wants the mass murder."
Everyone looked at Zero, and he started sweating, they really doubted at the number and Zero sighed and answered, "It was 14 but today I consume one, now 15."
"Still, 15 is a low number if we come on mass murder and elimination. It will at least give us a clue to the main."
Zero remain silent, just listening of others discussing and talking and the walk continued.
After a walk of ten minutes, I started feeling of some familiar scent. The System came in front of us and it gave the location and distance and direction to the spot.
>" The spot is almost 15 meters far away."<
>"Keep on moving at North West"<
>"You're just one minute far from the spot"<
I stopped for a second and touched the ground.
"Sacreficer, why did you stop?" The three also stopped and Zero smelled the dust. It was all reminding him of the group of people, or I say the group of Parasites who were going to hunt down their own member. Zero realized it quickly, but he didn't say anything and he just continued walking and following his group.
Zero, and the three stopped at the perfect spot and looked in front...and it was a destroyed house, who was completely smashed down on the ground and everything was fallen down. The house was completely destroyed and Zero and his group didn't understand what to do with the destroyed house.
>"Your task is to find something of the Parasites who lived here, and also a clue which can take you to the reason that why does Parasites eliminate their own friends. Once the task is done, do your normal patrol."<
"Reason...huh?" Zero looked and he was actually curious, why they even do that? It was something confusing.
But the three started walking in the destroyed house and Zero also entered in the house and he also started the investigation.
But Zero didn't realize that the house is familiar, or it is of someone familiar.
"Sacreficer, go at the last room and check. And everyone separate, houses are small anyways." The main of the group commanded and everyone took the command and moved to the rooms.
Zero came to the last room and it was completely messed like others were. The bed was broken, the cupboards were falling down and the pictures were broken and glasses were everywhere.
But...Zero felt another familiar thing, it was this time someone's scent. He looked aside and in front of the broken mirror, there was a perfume.
Zero picked up the broken perfume bottle and smelled it.
"...It is a little bit familiar to her scent..."
All the three heard the voice of Zero, and they were left stunned and walked to the last room, peeked in and said, "What are you doing... Sacreficer? You are... smelling scents which is familiar to a woman?"
Zero smiled and nodded his head, "Yeah, the one who has joined my house has a familiar one, I think she uses this perfume as well--"
But finally...Zero realized something, and his co-workers realized it as well.
The Leader of the group asked, "When did your partner joined?"
Zero finally joined the dots...and he accepts that he is a fool.
Zero ignored the question for a second and looked for some stuff, he found a diary somehow and there was a name written at starting of the page...
"Alpha..."
Zero smiled with a sweat, "Yeah...I guess this is her house only...I forgot what happened at afternoon..."
And Zero also remembered by that, that he was stabbed and his bleeding hasn't stopped yet either. He took his shirt up, and his shirt was completely covered with blood and the three started colliding their heads to the wall.
"You fool...you even forget that you got stabbed?! How can you forget everything?!"
Zero smiled with a sweat, "...It all was related to her..."
The three looked at him, and gave a sigh and said, "Now it makes sense, you actually forget when the situation also includes a woman...you dumb Zero."
Zero flipped the cupboard and opened it, and saw there were clothes and all the stuff of Alpha.
The Leader looked at Zero and asked, "Then she would be in your house, then we can ask her about the situation, we can investigate her."
Zero nodded his head, "Yeah, you all can just go to my house and ask her at morning. Although she wouldn't know much, I tried to explain that her parents are already a Parasite but she didn't believe."
The three sighed, and said, "You will explain everything of today... Sacreficer. Everything, even what you forgot to tell. You'll tell everything of your day."
Zero smiled with a sweat and said, "I am sorry. I will try my best to remember everything of a day from now on."
But the investigation was over, the three decided to ask from Alpha but at morning as Zero said and they choose to investigate a little bit on their own.
Zero was looking at Alpha's bedroom and he had to admi, "Alpha had a big bedroom, indeed--"
But suddenly a scream came in Zero's ears which no one else could hear and his eyes widened.
"...Alpha...?"
