"It's a big one," Orion admitted.
Honestly, everything Witch offered held a certain appeal. But Orion knew better. It was all an illusion.
"Power that isn't your own," he stated, his voice flat, "can be taken away just as easily as it was given."
"Hee hee… Orion, everything in existence has its own order. If it were that simple, the Cult of Four wouldn't have survived for so long, nor would it have gathered countless followers," the copy of the Soul-Reaper argued, its voice a strange mix of Witch's tone and the Soul-Reaper's rasp. "You don't understand. Even the gods must adhere to that order most of the time."
She was trying to rationalize, but Orion could hear the insecurity behind the grand pronouncements. She didn't believe a word of it.
"Do you even believe that?" he asked.
Witch fell silent. She didn't even trust Clown. Trusting the Cult of Four was out of the question.
