Out of ten spots, seven belonged to Regalons. Spirit Lords were not aiming for resources, as their progression was tied to Almond acquiring Spirits and empowering them through it, so they didn't bother competing. Their main job was to protect the Regalons in the first place.
And by now, many people realized why Regalons used completely new and different types of powers every now and then.
Not to mention that they could also suddenly get a big boost in every fight!
What they didn't know was that Regalons could create spirits of enemies they kill, and use it as an asset in their Regalon Spirit Armament or as sacrificial resource.
