"What, the mystic siphon?" Miller asked, his curious eyes fixed on the magical screen.
"It's a devas technique," Eyline explained, her voice clear despite the connection. "It lets you absorb a power and either use its properties till the absorbed power energy is used up or redirect it."
Zemus, slouched in his chair, sat up suddenly, a memory flashing through his mind. "Wait, now that you mention it, Zyriel Versalys did something like that against Arwyna Phytis! She siphoned her light magic and used it to sharpen her own fire techniques."
Thea, intrigued, crossed her arms. "Do you think Klaus could've done the same with the Shadow Energy Stone?"
Eyline shook her head. "Energy stones are celestial. Only devas who've reached awakening can manipulate them with a celestial mystic siphon. Klaus isn't celestial, so it's unlikely. I'm heading to the Academy to check."
