Bang!
This time, what descended was not a beast nor a storm of fire, but a colossal fortress suspended in the sky.
It was vast beyond comprehension, a floating monolith forged from something darker than night itself.
Its surface was pure black, smooth and impenetrable, swallowing the light around it as though even radiance feared to touch it.
From it emanated a terrifying spiritual pressure.
The moment it appeared, the atmosphere of the entire planet shifted. The wind stilled.
The clouds scattered.
A suffocating weight pressed down upon every living being as if an invisible hand had placed the world beneath a mountain.
People dropped to their knees.
Some screamed. Others could not even muster the strength to make a sound.
The temperature seemed to plummet.
A deep, dreary cold seeped into bones and marrow alike. Even the bravest among humanity felt their hearts shrink in fear.
And yet, before anyone could adjust to this new horror, the sky split again.
