NARUTO POV:
"What a movie!" Naruto cried as he and his team walked towards the logs that marked the meeting spot "Guys, we should go to the place beyond the rainbow too dattebayo!"
"The only thing at the end of a rainbow is more rainbow" Sasuke said, annoyed at his movie experience being disturbed by the loudmouth.
"I wonder why Kakashi-san told us to watch that movie though" Haku commented "He said we'd be going on an A rank mission, but I don't see what this has to do with it."
Haku had been undergoing strict evaluations and tests to make sure she wouldn't be a threat to the Leaf, and then had been stuck with Iruka-sensei for history lessons for the past couple of months, hence her lack of knowledge of Kakashi's style of teaching.
She was currently with team 7 on probation as the final test to see if she was eligible to be a part of the Leaf's shinobi force.
"He does that." Sakura said "He does random things that end up making sense later."
The group then fell quiet until they heard a commotion behind the wooden wall.
Thinking fast, the group quickly jumped back just as Princess Fuun jumped through the movie poster on a white horse and went off into town.
A second later, the door was blasted off its hinges as a bunch of guys on horses of their own rushed behind her.
KAKASHI POV:
"What are you guys doing?" Kakashi questioned from his angle on top of the little shrine as he looked on to see his squad of cute little genin(well Chunin now, but they'd always be the same little kids to him, even though they literally hadn't grown at all in terms of appearance)
"Kakashi Sensei" Sakura called out while tying up another one of the guys who had been going after Princess Fuun.
"Just wasting time" Sasuke said with a shrug.
In a blur of motion, Kakashi appeared beside the old man with glasses and cut his ropes.
"My apologies" he said with a slight bow before turning to his confused squad "This person is your client for this mission and he'll be- wait, where's Naruto?"
"He went after Princess Fuun" Haku said "It should be easy enough to find them."
NARUTO POV:
Naruto walked into the dingy bar and looked around.
'Seriously, what are we wasting time here for?'
'Scarecrow-san wouldn't come for like an hour more anyway, so killing some time is fine Kurama-san'
'Don't just call Kakashi-sensei scarecrow-san, Liebe. He's like a super elite Jonin you know?'
'Scarecrow-sensei then?'
'That's the best I'm gonna get isn't it.'
'He's not even that strong in terms of our clan, so I don't really see a reason to be respectful to him other than the fact that he's your teacher Naruto.'
'Leave that for now, look left kid, there's the actress.'
'Yeah, thanks.'
Naruto made his way to see the actress downing a glass of sake while mumbling something about Snow.
"Yo, Fuun-hime. How'd you manage to shake me off earlier dattebayo?"
"I told you already, I'm not Fuun-hime."
"Yeah I know how movies work lady, I don't need a lesson about that."
"Whatever" she snorted "You're being annoying so go away"
When he didn't respond, she tried to swat him away, but apparently she was so drunk the hand didn't even come near him.
Suddenly, the door to the bar burst open and Sakura rushed in along with the old man who had been leading the grunts from earlier.
"Yukie-sama! The ship to Snow Country will depart soon, so we need to hurry!"
"I'm not going to board, so I don't care." She said flippantly as she poured and downed another drink.
"We don't have time for this" Sasuke sighed as he looked straight at Yukie with his Sharingan active before she slumped onto the counter, asleep.
"Whoa" Naruto said with a slow whistle "That used to take more time before didn't it?"
"It's called training, Naruto" Sasuke said as he lifted the unconscious actress on his back "You of all people know what training can do. Anyway, we should move. Sandayu-san wasn't kidding when he said the ship is going to leave."
"You know, I really don't like her." Naruto said mildly as him and his team sat at the deck, watching Yukie yell at one of her attendants for messing up a small part of her makeup.
"Doesn't matter." Sasuke said "Our mission is to protect her, so we protect her."
"Yeah, but why is it A rank?" Naruto wondered "Can't be that hard to protect an actress."
"Don't underestimate showbiz" Sakura (who knew the most about these things because of Ino) said "Famous people almost always end up getting targeted, and we don't know where or when the attack will come, so we have to be on guard."
"I wonder why Kakashi-san didn't come though?" Haku asked as she looked out to the sea.
"Granny must have assigned some sort of mission to him too." Naruto said flippantly "Oh yeah speaking of Granny Tsunade, wasn't your test with her yesterday Sakura?"
Sakura shuddered.
"The day before that, actually. It was…interesting."
"You got your ass beat didn't you?"
"It's Tsunade of the Sannin, Naruto. In what world would I be able to defeat her?"
'You should tell Pinky about that fight in front of the bar.'
'She'd whoop my ass if she heard about that dattebayo.'
'I know.'
"Whoa" Naruto said as he looked up to see the huge glacier "Did you do this in the night, Haku?"
"Why would I do this?" Haku looked at him in confusion.
At his shrug, she just shook her head "You ask strange questions, Naruto."
"That's cuz he was dropped in a strange way as a child" Sasuke said as he made his way to the deck in his yellow jacket.
"Aren't you extra pissy today?" Naruto questioned.
"I was on watch till like 3 AM, and now I had to wake up early because this director is crazy" Sasuke grumbled "I have the right to be pissy."
"You can go back to bed if you want Princess." Sakura said as she made her way to them as well "We've got it here."
"You didn't notice an entire glacier show up, and you say you got it?"
"That thing wasn't there when my shift ended" she glared "It couldn't have come in the 1 minute between mine and Haku's shift change either."
Sasuke was about to retort, when the ice cliff behind one of the actors suddenly exploded.
"Is that part of the movie?" Naruto tensed.
"No, there's just supposed to be a speech at this point." Sakura said as she read through the script "We need to move!"
SASUKE POV:
"Welcome, Koyuki-hime. Did you bring the hexagonal crystal?"
The woman was interrupted by a bunch of Shurikens.
Flipping back, she made hand seals before slamming her palms on the ground.
"Hyouro no Jutsu!" (Ice Prison Jutsu)
Saskuke had to dodge the sudden bursts of ice that came from the ground.
'Ice style! But it's not nearly as potent as Haku's'
With a quick series of hand seals, Sasuke sent out a fireball that was blocked by the walls.
'Still strong against fire though' he mused as he made the necessary hand seals for his next Jutsu
"Raiton: Inazuma no Tsume" (lighning style: claw of thunder)
His arms erupted with lightning chakra, and he slashed through the ice with claws made of lightning.
"And now, Raiton: Inazuma no Kaidan!" (lightning style: steps of thunder)
In a blur of blue lightning, he appeared in front of the pink haired ninja and hit her point blank with the lightning claw still present on his left hand in a closed fist
Or he would have, but his hand was stopped by an invisible shield.
She just stood there, shocked for a second before laughing.
Sasuke did not appreciate that.
He released the shape control of the jutsu, releasing a blast of lightning that send him back skidding, but again left his opponent unharmed.
"Don't you get it!? Your Jutsu can't reach me!" she yelled at him before making a few hand seals again.
"Tsubame Fubuki!" (Swallow attack)!
With a swipe of her hand, she directed a batch of swallow shaped ice needles at him.
With a snap of his fingers, Sasuke released a jet of flames that completely destroyed the incoming projectiles.
From the smoke of the impact, he sent out a set of ninja wires that wrapped around her and pulled her to a nearby glacier.
And then she brought out the wings.
SAKURA POV:
"Suiton: Suiryūdan no Jutsu!" (water style: water dragon jutsu)
A dragon launched itself at the large man with enough force that even the glaciers near him cracked, but the man didn't even take a step back.
He had his arms up to cover his head, and for some reason the attack hit everything around him.
The only thing that stood out about these shinobi were the strange armor they were wearing, so it was probably that.
Behind her, Sandayu-san was still trying to bring Yukie (Koyuki if what the enemy kunoichi said was true) of her sudden episode.
Sakura cursed under her breath.
She knew these symptoms, the princess was going into shock because of PTSD or something of the like, she had seen it enough of the ex-anbu that were in the hospital.
"Hyoton: Kōri no tsunami!"(ice tidal wave)
Sakura turned to see Haku coming from the side after having escorted the rest of the crew.
"Perfect timing Haku! You deal with this guy, I'll deal with those two" she said, gesturing at Sandayuu and Koyuki.
Haku nodded, and Sakura turned to run towards her client, all while making hand seals.
"Suiton: Suigyo no Gitai!" (water style: Water fish Mimic)
A fish bigger than a boat made of water broke the ice near them, and turned around, facing the hole it had just made.
"Won't we drown?" Sandayu asked as he gently placed Koyuki inside before entering himself, only to open his mouth wide in surprise.
"How?" he wondered aloud, and Sakura had to suppress her grin.
"I'm basically undoing any drowning before it happens with my healing Jutsu inside the fish. It doesn't take too much chakra, but does need a lot of water nearby, so it's perfect that we're in a place like this to be honest."
With a flare of her chakra, the fish began moving at high speeds underwater, and not a moment too soon as she saw the top of the glacier they had just been at be cut by a black line before the top fell on top of where they had just been.
