"Everyone done unpacking?"
Kirishima groaned as he collapsed on one of the common room's couches.
"Yeah, finally"
"The way it happened wasn't great, but it's crazy that we all get to live together, right?" Kaminari brought up.
"Living together is also a form of training to help us learn coordination and discipline!"
Iida with his hand movements would be something Izuku would be seeing everyday now, huh.
"Boys, done with your rooms?"
Mina's voice came from the girl's side, and the group turned to see her walk towards the group along with Uraraka, Momo, Hagakure and Jirou.
"Yup!"
"The girls all had an idea" Momo said as she stood near Izuku.
"How about a room presentation contest!?" Mina said excitedly.
Mineta and Tokoyami froze.
Izuku blinked.
Iida's hand once again went down at a right angle.
"There's nothing really exciting about my room" Izuku muttered as he opened his door to show off his room.
Each wall had an All Might poster on it.
Each shelf had a figurine.
Ignoring the merch (and America themed curtains) though, it was a fairly normal room.
Except for the box of clay in one corner.
"What's with that?" Kirishima questioned it as Uraraka looked around, calling it an Otaku's room.
"it's for helping me with ideas" Izuku said as he stopped Mineta from opening all the drawers "I wanna get a bit more creative with the stuff I make using my quirk."
"Amazing!" Iida's voice boomed "to use your free time to brainstorm for potential uses of your abilities! Truly befitting of the Class representative! How Heroic! How…"
"Manly!" Kirishima helpfully provided.
"Yes! How manly!"
"He went with it?" Kaminari and Sero questioned as Iida kept up his torrent of compliments.
"That's enough" Izuku said after a few seconds, pushing the stiff teen out of his room "it's clay. It's not that deep."
With that, they moved on to the next room, closing the night off with some good old fun.
"We're not gonna be training with the rest?" Izuku and Katsuki asked at the same time as the rest of their class moved to Gym Gamma to train their ultimate moves.
"It's a direct 'request' from the HPSC." Aizawa-sensei said as he handed the two their hero suit cases "Basically, they want you two to patrol near All Might's agency. Ever since his retirement, crime rates have been increasing there in particular."
"I doubt this is a one-day thing" Katsuki said gruffly "How long is this gonna go for?"
"Till the rest of 1A gives the provisional license exam at the very least. After that they'll be valid for heroes to pick up for work studies."
"Why aren't we being sent for a work study then?" Izuku wondered.
"You two are already famous in basically the whole country for being pro level. There'll be a person from the HPSC at Might tower who'll help coordinate things, but it's gonna be you two who do most of the work. You can refuse if you want."
The two glanced at each other before smirking.
"Well, it's the burden of the top right?" Katsuki said with a grin as he took his case.
"We'll do it. Transport will be handled by them though, right?" Izuku asked as he took his own.
"Yeah. This week was going to be used to get you all adjusted to the new rhythm of your dorm, but you can choose temporary residence at Might Tower and come here for the important classes. Most of them will have material students of your calibre will be able to catch up on easily enough, and we'll inform you in advance for class tests."
With that, both of their pseudo-debuts were on the way.
Katsuki let out an appreciative whistle as he stepped out of the elevator.
"This is that jump roof thing you were talking about?" he questioned as he looked out onto the city.
"Yeah. There's barely anything here since it'd all get blown away from the wind when All Might would land, but for us I think we could probably put a table and chairs set, maybe some snacks for quick breaks while on duty you know?"
"…you want to fly all the way up here for a break? Just sit in one of the cafés down there or something. We see pros do it all the time!"
"You…did you not patrol with Best Jeanist during your internship?" Izuku asked, baffled his friend didn't know what would happen if they walked into a random café.
"I did. Out of the seven days the last two were basically normal hero days, so I patrolled a bit. Why?"
"So, you should know that we're pretty well known because of the sports festival. We could get swarmed if we just walk randomly into a restaurant or something."
"No, we won't. Is your head filled with rocks or something?" Katsuki genuinely looked annoyed "there's places where heroes specifically go to eat cuz they have rules against that crowding shit. Did you do anything on the hero network other than fanboy? There's a whole ass navigation system based on location and the food you want on the network."
Izuku shut up at that.
"Seriously, did All Might not tell you any of that? Or that banana costume geezer?"
"All Might was only there for one day" Izuku muttered with a depressed air "and Torino-sensei probably forgot."
"Or he's so old he didn't even know it was a thing." Katsuki muttered as the two stood side by side at the edge.
"Be respectful. That's one of the people who fought against All for One in his prime" Izuku reprimanded.
"You're one of the people who've fought ballsack face as well. Feeling any respect?"
With that, the explosive teen jumped off.
Izuku sighed, before jumping to follow him
'This is gonna be a long…however long this is going to be'
It was the middle of the day.
Izuku groaned as he walked on the streets of Roppongi, Might tower still visible from where he was.
"Don't be a little bitch" Katsuki said as he slapped his friend on the shoulder "we got to beat up that pair of dumasses!"
"There's more action than last time" Izuku muttered as he walked weakly to the restaurant Katsuki had selected "and we're not even halfway done with the patrol grid Takakura-san gave us"
Takakura Ken was the bespectacled man who had been sent by the HPSC. He was a bit timid, but he knew his stuff. His quirk Turbo had Izuku going on one of his first mumble sessions in a while.
"We've got to follow this grid shit only for the first week, right?"
"Yeah, it's to familiarize us with the area so we know where the hotspots for activity are. After that we both patrol on our own too." Izuku responded.
"Good" Katsuki said as he pulled out his phone "there's a place nearby good for burgers. We can't go to any branded places like Mickey Ds or KFC, so it'll have to do"
"Sounds good" Izuku said as he pulled out his phone to see the location "It's inside our grid too."
With that, the two set off.
Izuku's head shot up as he heard a crash, looking over Katsuki's shoulders to see one of the food servers (a strangely familiar woman) and the plate on the ground.
That wasn't what caught his attention though.
It was the tears in her eyes as she looked at him, and he looked behind himself for a second, genuinely thinking she'd just seen someone she knew.
"It's you!" she half whispered as she rushed towards him "Beacon!"
Izuku blinked. If she was a fan, she sure was being emotional.
"Is she someone you saved?" Katsuki asked him in a low voice as he turned as well to see what was going on.
"Oh!" Izuku snapped his fingers as he remembered who she was "Yeah, I met her during the internship."
The woman nodded frantically as she stood in front of him.
"Yes! My name is Hatsu Minori."
"Right…" Izuku scratched the back of his neck awkwardly "Like you already know, I'm Beacon and this is my friend Dynamight. We've been called to do hero work in this area for the next month or so."
"Really? You're only first years, aren't you?" she wondered aloud.
"We're strong, so we were dispatched" Katsuki said gruffly.
"I see. Well, I apologize for disturbing you while you were trying to rest"
With a bow and a glance at Katsuki, she disappeared.
"…what was that about?" Izuku muttered as he sat down.
"Fans are weird. Ones who you saved are bound to be weirder. She did seem spooked though."
"Right?" Izuku leaned forward "felt like she wanted to tell me something too."
"Probably hesitated cuz I was here" Katsuki nodded "I'm an unknown after all. Come here tomorrow on your own, see what's going on."
"We're supposed to stick together this week though" Izuku muttered.
"Glasses will understand" his friend said, referring to Ken-san. "Plus, I'll still be working the grid. We can like, switch grids halfway so we both still individual cover the whole area."
"Alright" Izuku said, looking back at where Minori-san had gone "I've got a feeling we're getting ourselves into a mess though."
"Aren't you always?"
