The concept of Human Order refers to the origin, existence, and development of humanity within this worldline. Restoring the Human Order means repairing what has been damaged or is on the verge of incineration, addressing it before the point of collapse.
Chaldea's journey is a grand war across time and history, fought to restore the Human Order and reclaim humanity's future. Unlike the petty conflicts of modern society, driven by selfish desires or scarce resources, this is a battle to wrest humanity's future from the incineration of the Human Order, a testament to human conviction and golden will.
Its scope encompasses all of humanity, or rather, the entire planet. Countless battles, large and small, unfold across various Singularities, yet those who fight for Earth remain largely unsung.
But… is Chaldea truly dedicated to saving humanity?
This was beyond question. Until now, Ritsuka, every member of Chaldea, and the Servants lending their aid have fought tirelessly for this noble cause.
Roy once believed this implicitly, though he vaguely sensed that the journey's end after the Temple of Time was not Chaldea's final chapter.
He had always trusted that Chaldea fought for humanity's salvation, that it stood for justice.
Until… a certain deal, a unique opportunity, and a tale heard by a campfire, the story of Nahuatl: Mictlan, the Golden Sea of Trees, shook his faith in Chaldea's purpose and Ritsuka's journey.
This wasn't a denial of Ritsuka's efforts but a suspicion of the secrets hidden within Chaldea itself.
During the battle against Tiamat, Roy never ceased his deductions. Now, the moment of truth had arrived.
If the truth were false, that would be ideal. For a bright, righteous girl like Ritsuka, a straightforward tale of saving the world was the perfect stage.
But if his deductions were correct, the story awaiting the last Master of Humanity would be no comedy but a profound tragedy.
A plan orchestrated by a cunning old fox.
If that were true, Marisbury, your audacity is staggering…
To calculate so much, even including me?
If so, Tezcatlipoca's presence as a crowned Servant in the Seventh Singularity might not solely be for the Beast. It could be the Counter Force's self-preservation, a plea for Roy's intervention.
"The waters of this world are far deeper than I imagined…" Roy murmured, offering no further comment. He ascended into the sky, holding the bewildered Tiamat Lily, in his arms.
"You mongrel, what are you planning?!" Gilgamesh demanded, his expression grave as he watched Roy rise with Tiamat Lily. He didn't know Roy's intentions, but the man was undeniably serious.
Was he truly turning traitor?
Given Roy's terrifying strength, there was no room for restraint.
Even Gilgamesh wouldn't be so arrogant as to hold back against a Magician of the Third Magic who defeated the Mother of Genesis.
Buzz, buzz, buzz!!
Golden ripples spread, and with a piercing shriek, divine weapons, among the finest in the Golden Capital, shot toward Roy without mercy.
These were top-tier divine constructs, capable of piercing the hardest stone, launched with full force because Gilgamesh knew Roy's power and resolve.
Ishtar and Ereshkigal were unreliable, Tezcatlipoca was Roy's ally, Quetzalcoatl hesitated, and King Hassan's whereabouts and allegiance were unclear. Gilgamesh alone stood ready to fight.
He had to be serious!
Gilgamesh struck with his mightiest arsenal, knowing that sparing a foe of Roy's caliber due to camaraderie would be suicidal.
"Is that all?" Roy taunted, unfazed.
The fierce assault had no effect, effortlessly dodged by his nimble movements.
Gilgamesh knew this well, such attacks were unlikely to faze Roy. His Gate of Babylon excelled in targeted, suppressive combat, but Roy, neither human, god, dragon, nor demon, existed outside myth, devoid of exploitable weaknesses. Defeating him required raw power, not strategy.
As expected...
"Useless, and you know it, King Gil. Save for your EA, even the mightiest divine constructs are mere toys against me. Throwing them without unleashing their power is child's play." Roy said.
"Let's see this instead."
Amid blinding light, a massive white hand materialized behind Roy, seizing the incoming weapons in an instant, crushing them like toys and casting them to the ground.
He didn't even dodge, standing calmly with a gaze that seemed to say, "Is that it?"
"You!! Fine! You've enraged this king, and you'll pay, no matter your excuses!" Gilgamesh roared, his pride stung by Roy's dismissive demeanor. He summoned all his golden portals, aiming them at Roy.
Roy shook his head, the myriad golden gates posing little threat.
"Regardless, it's time you stepped back, King Gil." He said. "I get your need to shine, but you're not the star of this hidden stage. An NPC should know their place."
With a sigh, he clenched his fist.
Crack!!
A sound like something snapping rang out, and the golden gates froze.
Or rather, they were bound.
Countless white magical chains surged from the ground, shooting toward Gilgamesh.
Though Gilgamesh's agility made dodging inevitable, unlike Merlin's ambush, Roy's target wasn't him but the immobile gates.
"What?!" Gilgamesh gasped, incredulous.
The white chains plunged into his Gate of Babylon, locking onto the treasures within, binding them in place.
This familiar tactic…
Enkidu!!
Wasn't this how Enkidu fought him?!
"Haha, surprised, King Gil?" Roy laughed. "I drew inspiration from Enkidu's battles with you, but I owe more to another King of Heroes."
The old Gilgamesh.
Using the seven weapons lent by the Atlas Institute, Roy had replayed countless battles against the Servants of the Fourth Holy Grail War. The old Gilgamesh was a frequent opponent.
Though from different timelines, their combat styles shared similarities, opening the treasury, launching weapons, suppressing foes. By preparing during the treasury's two-second wind-up, like Shirou Emiya or Enkidu, Roy could counter its advantage. His Reality Marble wasn't tailored like Unlimited Blade Works, but his speed and power far surpassed Shirou's. Emulating Enkidu was his best approach, and it proved effective.
"Hey, Master, enough games. Let's get to the point." Tezcatlipoca interjected, his tone wary but his face mocking. To him, Gilgamesh was no realthreat.
His focus was on Roy's promised deal and the second choice awaiting Ritsuka.
This infuriated Gilgamesh, his fists clenched.
To be so dismissed!
"Since you demand it, I'll indulge you!! A Magician of the Third Magic and an Aztec god, worthy of Ea's stage!" Gilgamesh declared.
The Sword of Rupture spun, its world-rending tempest surging, shattering the white chains like glass, shaking the surrounding space.
Ea's collapse spread faster, reversing Roy's bindings.
Above the underworld, Roy and Tezcatlipoca, sensing the approaching threat, remained calm. Instead of resisting Ea's world-opening power, Roy lowered his head to Tiamat Lily in his arms.
"Please, Lily, lend me a hand?" He asked.
"Aa… aaaa?" (Why do this?)
"It's complicated to explain, and we're short on time." Roy replied. "But I promise, no one here will be harmed, and I'll explain everything later. Deal?"
"…"
"Aa… aa…" (Don't lie.)
Though confused, Tiamat Lily trusted Roy's clear gaze and his role in saving her and defeating the Beast.
Publicly and privately, she chose to believe this enigmatic youth.
"Thank you." Roy said, smiling as Tiamat Lily granted him her authority.
The final piece of the puzzle was in place.
"Roy-senpai…" Ritsuka murmured, supported by Mash, gazing at Roy's figure in the sky with complex emotions.
Why this turn of events? Why would the youth who supported and protected her from the start betray them at victory's peak? What was his true goal?
If he sided with the Demon Pillars, he could have killed her and Mash early, ending Chaldea and the Human Order restoration.
If he sided with Tiamat, why fight so hard to defeat the Beast, risking everything for them?
It made no sense…
Could a flippant remark about companions turning into final bosses explain their bond, their shared battles? Was it all just a game to him? She refused to believe it!
As if hearing her whispers, Roy glanced at her but said nothing.
His gaze shifted to the equally conflicted Quetzalcoatl and Ishtar, shaking his head.
Then he moved forward.
Using some unknown ability or magecraft, Roy vanished, reappearing beyond Ea's range, strolling upward as if on a leisurely walk.
Ignoring those below, he climbed higher, declaring with self-assured authority, "First, congratulations, Master of Chaldea, Ritsuka Fujimaru. The Seventh Singularity is restored, an undeniable fact."
"The Beast is destroyed, Uruk's flame endures, and the divide between man and god is set. This victory is irreversible. So, I congratulate you all."
"Then… why?" Ritsuka asked, lips trembling.
Roy, now at the peak, turned to face them, smiling. "By all accounts, this is a perfect ending. The Seventh Singularity restored, the Beast vanquished, a happy conclusion. But only by conventional standards…"
"Knowing certain truths, I've realized this outcome, while good, isn't as perfect as it seems. This Singularity is a critical turning point for the future. My interference, however, has stunted your growth, Ritsuka. I didn't see the will in you to face future trials. But to save more people and make choices without regret, I don't regret my actions."
"So, I apologize, Ritsuka."
"What… does that mean?" She asked.
"Exactly what I said. I can't say more now, and I won't always be there in the future. But I'll help in my own way." Roy replied.
Finally, having said his piece, he raised Tiamat Lily, tapping into her authority for his next step.
"I declare the dungeon open."
Black mud erupted, the Primordial Sea surging, flooding the underworld in an instant.
Its scale rivaled the Beast's, for they were one. Though Tiamat Lily was separated by Tezcatlipoca's sacrificed crown, she remained linked to the dragon form.
When Tiamat's dragon body and vortex shattered, their power didn't vanish but returned to Tiamat Lily, enabling her to become the Mother of Genesis.
Thus, Tiamat Lily, beyond the massive Beast-class Spiritual Foundation, surpassed the Beast in concept, limited only by her output.
"Senpai, be careful!!" Mash shouted.
"Everyone, watch out! The Sea of Chaos again?!" Dr. Romani cried from Chaldea.
Seeing the black tide, everyone's hearts sank.
They'd just overcome it, and now it returned! Even the best tools couldn't be reused endlessly!
"Damn you, mongrel, using that trick?!" Gilgamesh cursed, leaping back from the tide, gripping Ea. He shouted at Merlin, "Merlin! The cursed mud's back, do something!!"
"Alas, I wants to help, but these seven-layer seals have me stuck." Merlin said, shaking his head helplessly.
"…"
"No need to worry. This Primordial Sea bears no malice. It's not here to consume but to give birth, the true Sea of Origin." Roy said, smiling at their tension, raising his hand to the sky.
With his summons, countless white phantoms emerged from the underworld's abyss and the Sea of Chaos, not fearsome Lahmu, but ascended warriors born of the Third Magic.
Under Roy's control, they rallied to his side.
In the Sea of Origin, humans consumed by the black mud and turned into Lahmu began to reverse, shedding their monstrous forms to be reborn as humans.
"What is this…?!" Everyone gasped, awestruck by the godlike reversal of life and death.
Using the Mother of Genesis's power to reverse life's transformation, this was Roy's aim.
These warriors, redeemed by the Third Magic, would find salvation. For now…
Roy's gaze fell on Ritsuka, finishing his words: "Of course, you could escape via Rayshift, leaving Mesopotamia. The Singularity is restored, and I can't pursue you."
"Or stay and prove your courage and will. Show me you can bear the terrifying future, that your heart won't waver. Based on your choice, I'll decide whether to share the future's truth or other rewards."
"Rest assured, I won't judge your choice. So… come, face this trial between us!!"
His words fell.
Boom!
The underworld's mountains collapsed, Roy's figure vanished, his voice echoing through the valley,
"I'll await you in Ereshkigal's temple, Ritsuka Fujimaru. If you're truly resolved, follow me."
