Chapter 2 - Chapter Two

Alpha Alexander's Wrath

 ARIANA POV

I slowly opened my eyes, groggily taking in the sterile white room…a hospital perhaps.

A nurse muttered under her breath, "She's awake," before hurrying out to fetch something…. probably the doctor.

I let out a sigh, frustrated with my new body's weakness. Passing out every time something stressful happened was getting old.

And I was definitely not this weak before. Even when I found out I would die sooner than my parents.

A smile appeared on my lips as the thoughts left my head. Followed by the doctor's entry, accompanied by the same man I'd seen earlier - my supposed husband, Alpha Alexander. I felt a shiver run down my spine as he approached me.

"Am I going to die soon?" I blurted out, my eyes locking onto the doctor. Maybe my diagnosis had followed me into this new life.

The doctor's expression turned to surprise at my words, but before he could respond, Alpha Alexander whispered in my ear, his breath sending shivers down my spine.

"I doubt you'll be dying anytime soon, wife... not when I haven't killed you myself." His smirk was devilishly handsome, but his words sent a chill through me.

He turned to the doctor, his voice commanding. "Can I take her with me, Raphael?"

The doctor nodded, "Yes, Alpha."

As the doctor and nurse left, Alpha Alexander's eyes narrowed, his gaze piercing. "What's wrong, wife? You keep staring at me." He leaned in closer, his voice low and husky.

I swallowed hard, my heart racing. Something was off, and I couldn't shake the feeling that I was missing a crucial piece of information. What had happened to the old Aria? Was she dead?. Considering my situation, she was definitely dead.

Just as I was about to ask something, Alpha Alexander's lips brushed against my ear, sending shivers down my spine. "You have no idea what's going on, do you, wife?"

I shook my head, my voice barely above a whisper. "No... I don't."

Alpha Alexander's smile grew wider, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Well, that's about to change."

And with that, he swept me into his arms, carrying me out of the room and into the unknown.

He led me to an old, dimly lit room, the air thick with the scent of decay. After setting me down, he locked the doors, the sound of the key turning in the lock echoing ominously. I watched him, my mind racing with the implications of my situation. Playing along seemed like the best option, at least for now.

I took a step forward, my voice barely above a whisper. "Alex..." I called out, using the name I had heard earlier.

His body flinched, and he turned to face me, his eyes blazing with anger. "Let's get started," he growled, his smirk twisted.

I could sense the fury radiating from him, and I wondered what Aria, his wife, had done to provoke such anger. Had she betrayed him?, Had she lied to him?...In most and similar cases it was definitely infidelity.

And asking questions right now was definitely not an option for me anymore.

He began to pace, his words spilling out in a torrent of rage. "Silent now, are you? Fine. Let's start with the list of your transgressions."

I stared at him as he walked towards me, rope in hand.

" Running off with another man while married to me. Refusing to attend the banquet, disgracing me in front of our guests. Visiting your lover in prison, flaunting your infidelity. Spreading rumors, betraying me, trying to cause a scene... I loved you, Aria, but you made me look like a fool."

My eyes widened in surprise as he listed the allegations, Aria really did a bad one this time.

His voice rose to a scream jolting me back from my thoughts and I stumbled backward. Step by step, as he advanced on me. His eyes blazed with hatred, and I knew I had to tread carefully.

"Do I look like a fool, Aria?" he spat, his face twisted in contempt.

I remained silent, unsure of how to respond. This was not my territory, and I didn't know the rules.

He took another step closer, his voice dripping with malice and anger "Just you wait, Aria. I'm going to break you into pieces just like you did to me."

I stood frozen, my heart racing with fear. I had no idea what I had gotten myself into. This man, Alex, was furious, and I was the target of his wrath.

He took another step closer, his eyes blazing with anger. I could feel the heat emanating from his body, and I knew I had to think fast.

"A-Alex," I stuttered, trying to calm him down. "I...I don't know what you're talking about."

He laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "Don't play dumb with me, Aria," he sneered. "I know all about your little games and your sneaking around. You think you can deceive me? Me, of all people? I'm your husband…The damn Alpha of this pack Aria, but you chose some lowlife instead!"

I shook my head, trying to clear my confused thoughts.

"This is definitely a dream. Yes, a dream". I muttered scared as I moved backwards trying to avoid Alex's wrath.

Alex's eyes narrowed, his gaze piercing. "You're going to pay for what you've done, Aria. Oh, yes. You're going to pay dearly."

Suddenly, he reached out and grabbed my arm, his grip like a vice. I tried to struggle, but he was too strong.

"Let's take a little walk wife, shall we?" he whispered, his voice dripping seductively but with a sarcastic tone.

I stared at him as he tied my hands tighter, and then I decided to try something. To apologize.

Mother always said apologizing solves everything, and in this case I was willing to try.

I muttered the words "sorry" but got no response…and I decided to try again.

"Alex, I'm sorry….I promise I didn't know what I was thinking."

Alex looked at me surprised but the words definitely didn't go through him, but then he said something ."I'm not angry wife, but I think it's time you saw the consequences of your actions."

I was dragged out of the room, helpless to resist. Where was he taking me? What did he have planned?. I knew nothing.

As we walked through the corridors, the castle seemed to grow darker, the shadows deepening. I stumbled, my heart racing with fear.

"Where are we going to, Alex?"...I whispered. It was definitely obvious that I was scared even when I was trying not to show it.

Alex replied, not even giving a damn about my situation. "we are going to a lovely place made just for you"

"And where's that Alex?" I whispered back.

Alex stopped walking, turning to finally stare at my face as a smirk appeared on his lips.

I could definitely notice the change of color in his eyes as he bent his head forward, an inch from my face.

"we are going to hell sweetheart"
